Resin Kits is a subreddit designed to for all fans of character model kits.
This includes resin, plastic, vinyl, 3D printed, you name it! Feel free to share your builds, WIPs, questions and enjoy your time here.
This is not however, a pre-painted figure collector sub, please refrain from opening topics of pre-painted unofficial figures that are wrongly called "garage kits" or "resin kits".

Space Godzilla Poster Ver. by Susuki Garage https://myfigurecollection.net/item/2148815
This GK was released recently during Wonder Fes 2024 and I just found out recently about it. Just wondering if there is anywhere I can acquire this kit for around the price it went for (65,000 yen) or slightly higher than that as the only ones I have found are 3-5x times the price. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Pin vise works but it's too slow. All the pro GKers on YouTube use small electric hand drills anyways. Which one do you guys recommend? The one Leona recommends is OOS on Amazon with no price. Looking for something good quality but not too expensive hopefully.
Looking at some the figures a lot of them have very thin details like long hair strands, lingerie or clothes that are hollow and basically have to be put onto a nude figurine, and I just don’t understand what materials these guys are using to sculpt stuff like this? Also sculpting in the more tight spots like the armpits and boobs, or where they make the crevice for cleavage really sharp and deep, how do they sand these crevices withought sanding unwanted spots? Aspecially the casting process of some of the more intricate parts that basically look like an ant nest. I started using monster clay not to long ago but that stuff is too flimsy for work like this and I am very curious about their techniques and materials.
There’s some kits that include prepainted eyes. Are those good for starting off? How many parts is good for someone first kit? I have been browsing garage kits. I am planning on doing my first during the summer(currently hoarding materials)
Any advice on how to strip lacquer (air brush) from resin without ruining the resin?
I’ve been meaning to start doing garage kits for a while but have not had the materials. I’ve seen some really beautiful kits done on here and have been wondering, how long have you guys been doing kits and how good are you at it.
Working on my first kit. I'm no stranger to painting/priming with spray cans before, so I have a decent stockpile of various spray paints. I noticed in Leona's starter supplies video, she shows 2 cans of krylon primer. Is there enough of a difference between paint+primer rattlecans and JUST primer rattlecans for that to matter? I figured getting the surface for paint to stick is what matters most here.
Otherwise, my other option is a vallejo brush on primer, since I do not have an airbrush.
Any suggestions?
