3) No image macros, gifs, or videos that don't contain a joke or are irrelevant to the Mets.
4) No low-content self-posts that could be a comment in another thread.
5) Please redirect all posts about recent or ongoing games to the game or postgame threads.
6) No repeat/duplicate/redundant posts.
7) No links to illegal streams, or posts asking for streams.
8) No racist, misogynist, homophobic or otherwise offensive material.
9) No trolling directed at this community; and no posts forming brigades to troll other communities. Absolutely no directly, personally insulting or attacking other community members (as opposed to ideas, thoughts, or concepts stated by community members which is different)

13) Don't be a jerk. Keep it civil, people.
14) Please don't be blatantly toxic. It's okay to be unhappy or pessimistic, but don't go overboard all the time. "We really suck right now" is fine. "These fucking losers are getting stomped by the worst team in beisbol" is not. (yes, that's an actual post we've had.) Read the room. We can and will ban people for this if it gets excessive.
15) Just because someone disagrees with you about how the team is run doesn't make them a shill. Argue your points in good faith.
16) Links to articles and Twitter posts must be submitted with accurate titles. A good title: "Mets sign Trevor May to two-year contract." A bad title: "ITS HAPPENING". Generally, post titles should not be misleading. You don't have to reprint the tweet verbatim like in some other subs, but if it's an inaccurate, misleading, or otherwise misrepresentative title, it will be removed and you will be allowed to resubmit.
16.G) Grimace posts MUST use the Grimace post flair.
We're not all robot mods. We make mistakes! If you see a post that should be removed, or if you think your post was unjustly taken down, MESSAGE US!

On my way to the MLB store now
I’ve been to 2 home mets games, both times I’ve had seats in the 100s sections but I barely spent any time in my seats and mostly watched from the field level concourse that wraps around the whole stadium and where all the food stands are located. Do I need a ticket from the 100s to get into the field level concourse, or could I get a ticket from another cheaper section and still watch from the concourse? For example if I got a ticket in section 530, could I spend my whole day in the concourse behind the 100 sections? Thanks for the help.

I’m making a custom mando helmet with Mets colors, and was wondering if I could wear it to this years subway series. It’s going to have a visor in later on but I just want to know.

I am a New York Mets fan in Salem, OR. Started a group to watch the game together on a monthly basis a few years back. We are a diverse group of New York Mets fans from across the Willamette Valley!
Join us Sunday Half Court Sports Bar in Salem for beer and Mets baseball! First pitch is 4:10 pm. We will be catching the Mets take on the Cubs at Wrigley.
Meta AI informed me that someone within the Mets organization was in the costume. Since AI is never wrong, who was in the costume? My guess is Bobby Valentine since hes known for disguises.
Mom sent me a pic of yesterday’s paper and how dare they not mention our savior Grimace
Hear me out. Lindor has 227 home runs as a SS. He has averaged 28 homers per year in his career. He is only 30 years old. He’s a near-certainty to reach 300 homers. There is only one SS in the Hall of Fame who has more than 300 homers and that’s Cal Ripken Jr. So far Lindor is a 4x All Star and a 3x Silver Slugger awardee. He also has 2 GG’s. (Even the holy Derek Jeter only had 260 homers.) He also has 167 SB’s.
If Lindor finishes with 350 homers, 250 steals and around a career .270 BA does he get in?
So the Mets have won 7 in a row, and their offense has been clicking on all fronts. If I am gonna actually believe in this team, I need to see sustained success, because if they just go 2-8 the next ten games, then you're basically back to where you were. Any team can go on a 7 game win streak, the A's who went 50-112 last season had a 7 game win streak. For me to actually believe this team can make a run, they need a sustained stretch, let's say 20-10 over their next 30 games.
If we continue to play at this level, the Front Office will have no choice but to not sell at the deadline, but if we flame out at the end of the season we will miss out on a lot of high value returns for guys like Alonso/Martinez. I always want the Mets to do good but part of me is like, maybe this is the worst season we could’ve gotten hot at the right time. There is a lot of time between now and the deadline to decide if we are sellers, buyers or just stay put. I think we likely do nothing if we aren’t selling. Am I overthinking this?
