Rules
1. Posts should directly relate to the Disneyland Resort, located in Anaheim, CA. Remember, just because it's Disney doesn't mean it's about Disneyland. This includes merchandise and things you made.
2. Trip planning posts are not allowed. Please read any pinned posts or visit our FAQ if you need assistance planning your trip, otherwise visit /r/DisneyPlanning or our Discord server.
3. Follow reddiquette and keep it clean. Try to maintain a family environment. Bullying or Harassment of any kind will result in a ban. This includes telling anyone to "fuck off", new accounts created solely for complaining, and "Trolling". For further clarification, see this post.
4. Posts should follow reddit's rules on self-promotion and should refrain from being "blogspam." We also disallow mobile links, link shorteners and "news" from clickbait sites like DLNT/WDWNT (which have a history of making things up and presenting it as news - see this comment).

8. Posts about rule breaking at the parks are frowned upon. This includes asking Cast Members and others for help getting into the parks or trying to get access/reservations to Club 33. This sort of behavior will be considered harassment and can result in a ban, as per Rule #3. (/r/Disneyland CMs, please message the moderators if you feel you are being harassed.)

Have a party of 2 at 6:40 at Carthay Circle that needs to be checked in. I’m not there and don’t want to be charged for a no show.
I finally used up my three day ticket special. A little background. I sometimes get to go to a conference in Vegas and I usually take the oppertunity to drive or fly to San Diego and go to Disneyland as well. I planned to arrive in the afternoon an do 1.5 park days, but a 2 day regular ticket was more expensice than the 3 day promo so I bought it and figured if I use the 3rd day cool, if not, it's no real loss. Well I arrived on what I planned to be day 1, but I had a migraine and I learned rides and migraines don't mix so I stayed in the hotel. Well I decided giving Disney back 2 days was too much.
Day 1: July 11th
I spent the entire day, about 9:30am-Midnight in the parks. I rode about 20 or so rides. Made great use of Genie+, in fact, by the end of the night, I had more "Mulit-Use Experience Passes" than I could use. This was before the contract signing when the threat of a strike was still there, but I didn't see anything really negative going on. Crowds were lighter than I expected, my longest wait was 45 minutes on Buzz Lightyear. People were complaining about the 82 degree weather. I had just come from 125 degrees in Vegas. It was amazing. Single rider lines on Space Mountain and Cars were great. Single Rider line on Incredicoaster was a bit confusing. Matterhorn did keep breaking down, but I did manage to get in 2 rides. Overall I had a great time.
Day 2: Sept 16th
The crowds! I did not expect the crowds I saw. As an east coaster, we are used to September being a great month to go since even people who pull kids out of school aren't super inclined to do it in the very beginning of the school year. Still, with careful use of Mulit-Pass, I got in about 15 or so rides, including the Haunted Mansion. That was amazing. I wish I could have road it again, and I did, more on that later. I got to ride Guardians of the Galaxy Monsters After Dark, which was really fun, that was a great Multi-Pass pick, skipped a 90 minute wait. I did not get to ride Space Mountain as much as I wanted to. I suppose I could have, but it was 11:30 and I was coming back the next day and as soon as I got in line, the counter changed from 25 minutes to 50 minutes. While I had been eating dinner, I looked online and saw Storytime with Deadpool was only in the afternoon, so I thought I missed it for Tuesday so I changed my opening park to Disneyland so I could do Haunted Mansion again. I figured I'd hit Space Mountain early and if it was a long wait, I'd go single rider. One thing that was very different from July was I did not get ANY Multi-Pass experiences due to ride breakdowns.
Day 3: Sep 17th.
Someone on the way out Monday night made a comment "Tuesday should be a nice slow day." That person was in error. Maybe slightly less busy than Monday but still packed. I got another great boarding group for HM, and as I was walking in I re-confirmed that I was going to miss storytime but then saw there would be an 11:45am one. Perfect timing. Space Mountain as I went into the park was a 25 minute wait, so I figured knock that out as my boarding group was halfway there. As I walked up to the gate, counter doubled to 45 minutes. So i went to the single rider line, it was closed. Waited to see if theyd' open it, then my boarding group was 2 away so I headed over to HM to be first in line when it got called and walked right onto it. Zero wait. TSI had been closed Monday but was reopend so now I'm torn, do I wanna do that or try Space Mountain again. Same wait time, but maybe they've opened the single rider line. I went back, nope, still closed. So I rode the monorail. I know, silly ride, but it's nostolgic. Then it was storytime with deadpool. And then, being an east coaster, I had to head back to LAX.
I enjoyed my 2.5 days in DL. I am 100% looking forward to Star Wars night in 2025, and hopefully I'll get to go to Vegas conference again. I will have to do more research on the crowds though and see if maybe I just got lucky in July or unlucky this week.
Lastly, I want to say, Disneyland, please, please, please, please, keep Multi-Pass the way it is, or if it must change, don't adopt the WDW system. I LOVE being able to get a new pick every 2 hours and I also love being able to have multiple picks within the same time window.
What is your unpopular Disneyland opinion? For me, it is that I think Star Wars Land is overrated. I am a huge Star Wars fan (more so the original trilogy), but I feel that both attractions there fall flat for me. It might be blasphemous to say, but I think the only perk to that area of the park for me is the Ronto Wrap. Star Tours is good enough to scratch my Star Wars itch.
Another one of mine is that I think Indiana Jones and Haunted Mansion are not worth the wait!
For the life of me I feel like I recognize these green bugs from somewhere but it just keeps slipping my mind 😅 Does anyone know where they’re from or am I just having an extreme case of Deja Vu?? Seen in a Fantasyland store
Hi, I’m 27 years old female and going to travel few days to LA from Canada, always wanted to visit the Disneyland, unfortunately, most of my friends have been there, and won’t join me for the trip, so I’m looking for someone to go to Disney around mid October! My date is flexible, leave a comment if you’re interested!
So Jungle Cruise is down for maintenance for a couple of weeks and I was wondering what the Skippers do when it's down. Do they get a few weeks off? Are they assigned to other rides for a while? Skippers are specially trained so I don't know if they get moved around like regular cast members.
So there I was, browsing the pin section in the main store behind the dioramas (the Emporium), and I noticed that a section of pins had been turned around so you couldn't see them or what was behind them. They were the Disney pride pins. Some asshole had gotten so offended that Disney would support pride that this bigot turned around the front pin on every individual pride pin so that you couldn't see what it was or what was behind it (without looking from the side). I loudly announced "What kind of bigoted asshole does this shit"?
Anyways, that's my story. Some bigot was so offended by LGBTQ people existing that they had to obscure pins to the rest of the public. Sad, but that's the fucked up world we live in.
Edit: I also did turn around the pins.
I don't actually remember if I said asshole or shit, but the point is I was trying to call someone out. I curse like a fuckin' sailor and always tone it down when there are kids around. But it was 11pm so who the fuck knows. If you're clutching your pearls over a few curse words, reconsider your priorities and kindly go fuck yourself.
I'm also not LGBTQ. Just a dude who stands up to bigots.
Additional edit because I think it's an important point:
Look at all the idiots who have thought I posted this as some sort of pat on the back of myself. To those idiots: look at the title of the post. Look at what I originally wrote. Look at my ending sentence prior to my edits. I wrote one sentence about my own actions. The post was about someone else's bigoted actions. I'm glad people are glad that I stood up for something but I really was just calling attention to the fact that there are bigoted shitheads who do this.
Went to Disneyland on Saturday with my adult siblings and wanted to share our success in managing rides! I used research from Fresh Baked on YouTube. This is what we did:
Rope dropped Rise of Resistance and waited 20 minutes! Felt like a huge success 🙌 Breakfast on the go, Mickeys Railway: walk on, Chip and Dale's coaster: walk on, Minnies house: posted time 20min, waited 10, LLMP Roger Rabbits, Pirates of the Caribbean: posted wait 30 min, waited 15, LLMP BTMRR, Indy: posted time 55, waited 30, Lunch, Matterhorn: posted time 55, waited 30, Teacups, LLMP Space, LLMP Astro blasters, VQ Haunted Mansion Holiday, BTMRR: posted time 50, waited 25, LLMP Pirates, Dinner, 8:30pm walked on Rise of Resistance in 15 minutes! Posted time was 55, Indy: posted token 40, waited 20, Fantasmic, Peter Pan, posted time 40, waited 30, LLMP matterhorn
What are the things you MUST do on your trip, no matter what? I've seen this trend going around on TikTok, so I thought I'd share a few of mine and would love to hear what everyone else must do on their DL Vacations!
Please be advised that their website in an acronym that colloquially means "down to get busy" and just might set off the naughty filter at your place of employment in which case you will have to explain you are not down to get busy with anybody, you just wanted to experience some Asian cuisine.
Thank you and good day.
Hi! I am currently attending college to be a director of film and one of the requirements is to make a short documentary. Being so much closer to Disneyland than ever before inspired me to choose it as my subject. It doesn't need to be more than 3 minutes tops. I was originally thinking about making it a piece about the employees, but I'd feel rude distracting them on the job. So I came here! What is something you would want lightly explored at Disneyland? Something with a little struggle and conflict sells and breeds the plot, but has a happy or hopeful closing.
The original Disney video post announcing it and several others made by people who purchased one DONT show it making sound. But a very VERY small amount online that I’ve seen DO make sound. I own one and have tried everything including switching batteries but no sound. I feel like there’s an explanation somewhere haha.
9.17.24 Today is the first national beignet day! They gave me 2 extra ones along with my order. Ooh and I got a pin too from Beignets Expressed.

I am usually a plain caramel apple purist, but the Halloween dark chocolate Minnie bat apple is sooo good. The dark chocolate is very high quality and tastes amazing with the crunchy tart apple. I'm so happy they brought her back this year! 😍
