I was wondering about how cross training works. My role is bell service dispatch, which I’m super happy with don’t get me wrong, but I am a so-cal native and was hoping to transfer to a job at Disneyland in some other department once my time in the college program was up. Is it possible to cross training for something like attractions or character attendant in preparation for an eventual transfer? And if so, how do I go about it?
hello! i just got deployed to the rafikis planet watch wildlife express and was wondering if any one works there if have worked there that might have any insight on the job any info is appreciated! thanks!
Hey guys! I was starting to look at hotels near flamingo when I come and check-in in February. I know we get discounts at hotels near there, but it isn’t till we get access to the HUB. I was wondering when we would get access to that. :)
Thanks!
I am finishing my CP mid January and plan on going to Disneyland late January. Am I able to use my chip n dales to enter Disneyland even if I don’t have my blue ID anymore?
What am I suppose to expect I will be entering HousePerson for Old Key West. I learned we get paid more I didn’t see anything about paying more as a HousePerson how much per hour will it be for this year? Also, I saw it’s a big resort some even 2 store high room how hard to clean or will we be having our own golf cart?
Hi! My Culinary program is coming up soon (I start Jan 6) And I know this sub is for the collage program but thought it wouldn’t hurt to ask.
I’ll be a cook 2 at Beaches and Cream and i’m wondering what to expect? Is it mostly prep work? Or if you have other insights into the culinary program please let me know! Compared to the college program it’s a lot harder to find information lol
Hi! I got my role and location today and I just feel a little confused! I'm doing the international program (from australia)
anyway, the role I have is Recreation Attractions, and my location is Barefoot Bay: Caribbean Beach/Riviera. Does this mean I'll be going between both on any given day?
thank you!
I am in Disney springs WOD merch and I was curious how difficult it is to pick up shifts in the parks? For example the 2 areas I want to work in at least once would be the toy story and star wars areas
Hello guys, I was admitted in the program and my arrival date is 1/6. I'm currently in F1 visa so I try to do CPT application, but my school immigration advisors (UCF) require me to have specific information about my role, otherwise they won't provide me with the new I-20 form.
I received several emails from Disney requesting me to complete I-9 form by 12/16/2024 (due to the holiday), but I still need to upload the new I-20 form and I don't have it yet.
As I might not be able to obtain the updated I-20 until I receive my itinerary with the specific role and location, does anyone know if it is possible to delay my I-9 completion until then?
Anyone, please help me!
Heyyy! I got animal kingdom park arrival role in merch, anyone know about that role please? :)
hi guys, my cp starts 1/27-5/29 and i have my college graduation ceremony on 4/26. i Cannot miss this. i didn’t get any high school graduation because of covid in 2020 and it would devastate my family to not see me walk in college. how do you think i could go about requesting 2/3 days off in advance? i dont need to stay at home i just need a day for travel and a day for the ceremony ya know?
There's a lot of question in this sub regarding how the attractions are organized and what the "groupings" (complexes) are when people get their role assignments. I thought I'd add that to the list I've already done for the Acronyms and abbreviations to provide a reference for the future.
This is the organization as I understand it. Those of you who work in these areas please take a look at this and see if it's correct and let me know if I need to change something (add, subtract, modify, etc.).

Hey I got my role at the all star movies resort for qsr. is there any specifics anyone could share with me like my pay and what I would most likely be doing? Thank you for any help.
How often is your role different from the one that was assigned during onboarding? I see everyone mention it’s a tentative role but I have never seen mention of someone saying that their role changed upon arrival.
Would I be able to pay for a parking hangtag when I get there on 1/06? I was late on getting the money through on dorms.
If i have a west parking pass, can i scan in and park at east?
i submitted my onboarding by accident yesterday and don’t know what to do 🙁 anyone has had this happen? who should i contact? it’s my second program so the form has the information from my past program but i’m still nervous because i didn’t get to finish reviewing it at all due to this mistake. anyone knows if that form has one’s address? im worried about that the most because i don’t know if it has my current address. help!
Hi! I am part of the DCP on 1/13!I just got told I'll be doing attractions (my top choice having prior experience with running attractions at other jobs) at toystory land in Hollywood studios! I am very pleased with it but was just curious, will we be trained in just one thing or multiple?
Also curious will I find out about apartment accommodations after the lease sign or what? cus that hasn't came up yet.
Lastly, even more random, but my birthday is literally a week and a half after I get there, and literally so random but do you think if I ask for a button, even not to wear, I could get one?
I want to budget for when I do the Dcp and was wondering what’s the average pay like after housing and taxes?
Does it need to be 30 days since my last call out or can it be for the one before that? Lets say i have two points. One of my points was 31 days ago and the other was about 16. Is the one that was 31 off my record or still there because of the other call out? Confused as to how this works.
My brother (who doesn't use this) wants to know what the custodial physical test consists of. He wants to make sure he doesn't get moved for not passing it. Can someone tell me?
What are the different QSR locations? Does anyone have a list of all the different QSR locations? I’m tentatively a roaming QSR and would be amused to pick up a shift everywhere, though I’d guess that’s unlikely with how many locations there are.
Thanks and I appreciate your time and help!
How easy is it to pick up/trade shifts at other resorts beyond your home resort? Very curious, as I was hoping to be able to pick up at as many resorts as possible, both for the achievement (I'm odd like that), and to have a bit of a change of pace. Are there generally enough shifts available for trade or being given away that I might be able to accomplish some variety in my time as part of DCP?
I've heard this question answered for a lot of other positions, but not this one, so I was just wondering if anyone had a good answer.
I’m a 1/13 arrival and I just found out that I’m Merch in the Theater District at Hollywood Studios! I would love to connect with anyone else who got merch anywhere in Disney World because I’m planning on trading a lot to try out some other locations on property!
Also if there’s any Hollywood Studios groupchats or if you have this role too, please reach out! This is my dream role and I’m so excited and I need someone to be excited with!😊❤️
i received my role today and i’m gonna be working at magic kingdom qsr outdoor food and beverage. any insight on this role?
Hello everyone! I got my role yesterday- QSR at Everything Pop– and wanted to know if there's anyone here who's had experience in this role/location or similar style location. While QSR was not anywhere near my top choice, I'm trying to keep positive and get a better understanding of the role to get a little boost of confidence.
Also if any Spring '25 participants are here and have the same role/location, let's connect!
Hi everyone! I am a former CP (2021-2022) and current Part Time CM and I am happy to answer any questions that you might have about my current role or past roles, or just stuff in general!
Roles I have done are:
• Custodial at Magic Kingdom (my CP)
• Seater at Be Our Guest
• Convention Guide (although this isn’t offered to CPs, I’d still be happy to answer questions about it!)
• And my current role, Bell Dispatch! :)
