Hi,
My husband booked Toppolino’s breakfast for 11:20 on Saturday when we have to pick up our bibs. Do you think we will have enough time to eat then get down there? I am nervous and want to cancel.
First rundisney event, and picked up my bib today, but no one said anything about my corral. Was I supposed to look somewhere? Will people be able to direct me in the morning?
I am running the 5k tomorrow and I am so excited!
Heads up that Coast to Coast merch is not being sold at the Wine and Dine Expo. After asking around a few times I was told that the merchandise can only be purchased in California. Wish I had known that during the Disneyland Halloween Half.
Did anyone get this communication beforehand?
Edit: Spoke with RunDisney management and this is a known issue, gaining more traction as people give feedback. As an add-on, I made mention that the C2C runners shouldn’t need to wear a wristband all weekend but rather have a symbol on their bibs. Everything was agreed and I was encouraged to continue supplying feedback.
TLDR: No C2C merch at WDW, submit a feedback report online or in-person to have the changes hopefully take effect.
Hey guys! Any info on the pacer groups for this weekend?
Can’t wait to run with y’all!
Staying off property (Hilton Disney Springs) and just the teensiest bit nervous about transportation on race day morning. Will I be able to call for a Lyft at these wild hours? Any difference for 5K (Friday) as compared to Half (Sunday)?
Thanks!
Unfortunately I broke my foot about 3 weeks ago and am in a walking boot. Obviously I will not be able to race, but I still plan to start with my friend I signed up with and then pull myself out. A couple questions about this plan: How early can I do this? Do I need to make it to a medical tent or get passed by balloon ladies? Is there a way to go cheer my friend on along the course after I stop? Or should I just hang out at the finish line (assuming that is where they take you once you’re swept). Is the coast to coast medal like the challenge medal and so I would not be eligible to receive it? Any advice from someone who’s been there would be appreciated! Trying to make the best of a disappointing situation.
I am looking to plan a vacation around the dopey challenge for 2026 (with the hope I get in, if not I’ll aim for just the marathon). It would be marathon #5 for me and technically ultra #3. I am not so worried about the fitness of the completing the dopey act but more about the reasonable time to recover to allow for a vacation with my family.
I have 2 kids that it would be their first time at Disney.
My thought process was I would go down and stay in park at a value resort for 5k-half and then transfer to the boardwalk the day prior to the marathon.
My family would arrive day of marathon or day prior and would enjoy the end of the marathon with me and spend a day at the hotel or at animal kingdom.
My question is how has the bounce back to being park ready been for most people post dopey. I know I will be tired of course but I don’t plan to set a PR and am aiming for around a 4-4:30 run.
Would you budget another down day? Would you say the spectator experience is worth a spouse wrangling two kids on their own early in the morning for? Is it worth them coming down while I’m running? Would it be more worth while to have the family there prior to all the races.
Thanks in advance. We are planning on spending at least a day per park with a day in the middle for catch up/ pool day if the temperature cooperates.
Maybe overthinking this, but the half moon on top of the i has me dreaming of a grand return to the night race!!!!
Also, wine and dine a week earlier next year.
For those that haven't seen, RunDisney has announced the dates for the Disneyland Halloween weekend as well as the Wine & Dine weekend for 2025.
Unlike most years, W&D is taking place the weekend before Halloween :/
Registration for Disneyland is coming up SUPER quick too!
Hi! I am signed up to do the 10K on Saturday, but I’ve developed a patellar tendinitis in my knee. My orthopedic doc said I should not do the race, but agreed with me that if I walked to the med hut and tapped out, I could finish the race at my own pace at home on a treadmill or walking through my neighborhood. I know so long I cross the starting line I get the medal (but I won’t unwrap it u til I’ve earned it. I’m big on that.) but does anyone know how far the first med station is? I feel like it’s around 1.5 miles in from other RunDisney races I’ve done, but I’m not sure and I haven’t see the map for this years race anywhere.
I am slightly bummed I can’t complete what would have been my fifth RD event with friends, and ironically my knee isn’t hurting anymore, but I haven’t been training for several weeks and would not want to screw it up by pushing myself. I love SS in the…well, spring, and I hope to be up and running (literally) soon to begin training for that 10K. I’ve always been a walker for these things but after losing almost 100 pounds over the last few years, I realized I can actually run/walk and it not be unbearable!
Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks.
Jist got this email....
Does anyone know when we get our assigned corral?
Do the assignments go by projected finish time? And do the faster people go first?
Hi all! This is my first race EVER and so I’m a little confused on everything… I live 50 minutes away so I didn’t want to get a hotel room - what’s the latest time I can arrive for the 5 AM race?
Also my husband can come later with friends, but would he even be able to park at Epcot around 6:30-7:00 AM? Just to see me cross the finish line.
I feel so prepared for the running portion, but not so much anything else so any tips would be great!
Hey y’all! Me and some fam are running our first half in January for marathon weekend, and honestly as we’re about 13 weeks out I just wanted to ask what y’all’s experiences are? We’ll most likely be jogging but definitely taking some stops to walk and maybe interact with characters. Any advice training wise/what to prioritize during the race? Thanks!
If I am doing the Disneyland half marathon & the Disney World Princess half marathon. This would count towards a coast to coast challenge correct?
Update: thank you everyone for sharing your thoughts and experiences! I am STOKED that there's a friendship bracelet culture out there and I can't wait to see it all in action. I'm flying in on Friday so I'll be getting to the expo on the later side but I'm running the half marathon on Sunday and will be wearing a "one little run" shirt so keep an eye out for me because I'd love to say hi!!
Hi everyone! This will be my first Disney race and (in the spirit of Taylor swift concerts) I've made a bunch of friendship bracelets. They're Disney themes like "run like a beast" "run your ears off" "thought it was rum" etc. but I can also sometimes get too overly excited/ambitious so I was wondering if anyone would be interested in these (free) bracelets?
If even a few people could comment and say they'd be interested I'll happily bring them. If I get no responses then alas, I'll figure something else to do with them.
I am an active runner, done quite a few races over the years but nothing longer than a half. This year I am doing my first marathon in January. My only concern the next 11 weeks is that I have never ran more than 13.1 miles so I would like to get some longer runs completed and use a program that someone has put together so I don't get burnt out.
So I downloaded the suggested 10 week Marathon Training Program for experienced runners provided by Disney and Jeff Galloway.
The issue is that it kicks off next weekend with a 17 mile run in coordination with the wine and dine half. I went through and put all of this on my calendar and after a couple of confusing tries I realize that I believe the program is missing a week. I really like the idea of this program so I can adjust it as necessary, but it is strange that this is setup exactly for training between two Disney official races and I think they missed a week?
Is there ANYONE else that has paid attention to this training program and found the same thing or am I missing something?

What are some issues with your costume that you discovered while doing a test run outside (or at a race) that you didn’t notice while doing a quick jog- in-place indoors? I am still working on mine and I am not sure if I will be able to do a full test-run outside before the race.
So, I just signed up for the Princess 5k, after I realized it was in the day well already be there! It seems like not a very big deal compared to everyone doing half and full marathons but .. for some background I've weighed 250-300 pounds most my life, running was NOT something I could do, at all. I've recently lost almost 100 and been in the gym doing strength training. I still don't love cardio but I CAN run and when I realized I'd be there for the 5k it seemed like fate!
I'm wondering about spectators. My husband and kids will be there, but I was hoping they wouldn't have to get there as early as I would? If they come closer to race time (we're staying off resort so they're driving) can they still get in and be beat the finish line?
Relatedly, what done everyone do after the race? For the 5k that's a good chunk of them before the park options, I'm assuming they have things to do but having a hard time finding info!
Any other tips for a n00b greatly appreciated! I'll be starting Couch 2 5k to see how much I'll end up being able to run!
Hey, all!
Long time WDW vacationer, but this is my first time doing a runDisney event. Running the half and my wife is running the 5K next week and we are so excited!
We are pretty experienced Disney travelers and really have our packing down to a science. But what other (non-park) things should I make sure to pack/consider? Could be for pre, post, or during the runs.
Thank you!!
In need of some advice/ input! My friends and I have had this trip planned for so long, along with all of our travel plans. One of my friend is in college and her teacher created a pop presentation that she has to give in person the day that we leave ( we are driving) or else she would fail. The solution we came up with is that she would fly out after the presentation and we would pick her up at the airport then take her to the expo. The only issue is that her flight lands right before 6. The expo closes at 7 and it’s a 25-30 minute drive from the airport to the expo.
Do you think she can get in and pick up her bib for the race? I’m worried, simply because Orlando traffic is unpredictable and it doesn’t give much wiggle room to deal with any possible me issues. Plus, it’s not like we can pick up her bib for her.
-She’s only taking a carry on since we will have her luggage so she won’t have to stop at baggage claim.
Just registered for the half for marathon weekend and will be flying in on the 9th. Was planning to head straight to the expo after I pick up the rental car since I won’t be able to check-in yet. Was hoping to pick up something related to the half and some kind of merch that says 2025 since it’s my first runDisney event. Will there be anything left since I won’t be getting in until day 2? Thanks!
I registered for the 10k but found out I can stay a day longer and see the 10m is still open and can run that. Is there a place I can look to sell/transfer the 10k?
Was looking to buy 2 and wondering if the e-tickets are transferable. If so, how? Via email? Just wanna know what I’m getting into before doing it.
I was emailed race training plans from Disney for the 2025 WDW marathon weekend races. The half marathon plans are for 19 weeks and the marathon 29 weeks.
Here is the issue.
The email was sent 12 weeks before race day.
Is this a joke?
Disney, do better.
Hello! A family member is interested in running a future runDisney event, and they have a service dog that would be going with them. Does anyone know how the registration for that works or what is needed to get a service dog onto the race course? Thanks in advance!
My husband and I are both doing the races W&D weekend, he's doing the 10k and I'm doing the challenge, we were originally going to be leaving that evening after the half, but we are able to extend our stay till Monday now. I am wondering if those who have attended the after party in previous years think it's worth trying to find him at ticket to it at resale so we can go, or if it's something you think could be skipped! Thanks !!
My husband and I are running the 10K in January at WDW.
We're hoping to meet friends after the race for a breakfast/brunch but I'm unsure of realistic timing for when we'd get to a resort for breakfast.
We were thinking of someone along the monorail line and I was hoping to make reservations.
Can anyone provide any tips as to when we should book our breakfast?
