Arrival at Corral

Happy half marathon day everyone! I’m in corral G today and am wondering if I’ll be okay if I can arrive at security at 5/5:15? I read somewhere that my corral probably won’t be released until 6 lol

Best way to recoup any cost if can’t make the race?

The no exceptions policy is so awful. I’m sorry something happened in the 8 months since I gave you $300 but for the love, can’t I get some sort of refund of anything if I can’t make the race? Why can’t I get my medal and shirt mailed to me? Yeah yeah I can just not buy a race ticket but had I known circumstances would unwillingly change, I wouldn’t be in this predicament, Sharron… please just have sympathy for me 😭

Pre/post race characters

This is my first DL race weekend, and I’ve been to several WDW. I always arrive early and hang out after for the pre and post race character pics. I didn’t see ANY before/after the race this morning. Is that not a thing in DL?

Chairs allowed or no?

My wife purchased a small collapsible chair to use while she waits for me. However I know we have to go through security and typically on an ordinary Disney days these are not allowed. Is this something she will be able to bring in to use while she waits for me to run through the esplanade?

Disneyland logistics suck

We run the 10k today. Terribly disappointed at the lack of signs and logistics. The website wasn’t fully updated from the last marathon weekend, the expo parking was impossible to find, this morning we had no idea where to go after parking (and paying $35!), there wasn’t not even one sign for the gear check.

It felt like the subpar experience once you’ve run in disney world.

Congratulations to all you 10Kers!

I had the best time today. Was my first ever Disney run and first ever 10K. I absolutely will do this again.

Wear this medals with pride today!

Half Marathon Corrals??

When I signed up for the race I was in much better shape and had put a 2:45 finish time. I got placed in corral E. I had some health things affect me being able to train so I'm not sure I'll make that time. Should I be worried?

Half Marathon 1st Timer

Hi guys, it’s my first time running a race at disney. I was wondering if we’re allowed to wear belt bags to carry things during our run? I’m not really sure if it’s allowed but can’t find any info on whether we can or not?

Coast to coast question

I am one of the people at the WDW marathon weekend that ran the 10k and my tracker didn’t work. See email. It was also to late for me to replace it. Sucks. If I want to run Disneyland’s half in Sept. would I be able to get a coast to coast medal or do I need an official time for the 10k? Would RunDisney accept my time from my Garmin and picture of me crossing the finish line? As a newbie to this world. I didn’t bet upset about my time being tracked but if it keeps me from a coast to coast I am pretty disappointed because I honestly had no idea.

Halloween Half '25

Background: I signed up for the Half, with my longest distance race ever being a 5k. I've never run a runDisney race at all. I'm using the Galloway method to train for this race in September. I've never been to California, let alone Disneyland.

Questions: Seriously, what did I get myself into? 😅 I'm excited, and not even worried about the potential heat (I live in the deep south US, so I'll be training in heat + humidity through the summer). But I keep seeing people talking about getting up at 2am? Is that because that's how long it takes to get to the corrals/in position?

Any tips for a runDisney newbie?

Any good coast to coast merchandise?

Any good coast to coast merchandise? Haven’t seen any photos on social media feeds. I’m curious if supply is low like last year.

Where are the characters??

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone had any idea where the characters will be/ usually are along the route during the 10k or Half Marathon at Disneyland tomorrow/sunday. I was hoping to run ahead of my girlfriend to get in line for character photos as she doesn’t have as much buffer at her speed and I’ve heard the lines can get really long, so does anyone with experience have an idea?

Visiting Disneyland After Running?

Do you recommend spending the day at the park after the race? I decided at the last minute to buy tickets to the park for Sunday after the half. I usually get really achy if I don't move a bit after a long race, but now I'm worried about the timing of it all. So here's my plan: run the race (slowly: I didn't provide POT), go back to the hotel (Howard Johnson by the Courtyard Marriott), shower/hopefully relax a bit, have brunch at the Great Maple at 9:45, and head to the park. I bought Lightning Lane tickets so we can ride what we want to ride, but I'm going in with an open-minded attitude.

Am I gonna regret this? Lol. I predict spending too much money.

1/2 Marathon Choir Question

Does anyone know the choir that was singing at Epcot before the finish line during this years 1/2 marathon?

They were singing Moana’s “How far I’ll go” when we ran past.

I stopped and took a video. They were amazing.

I’m wondering what other songs they sang??

My way too early 2026 Dopey training questions :)

I signed up for the 2025 Dopey (I am a 43m) and was only able to complete the first 3 races. My body was exhausted and I dropped out of the Marathon. I was pretty foolish because I have never run a marathon, only half marathons. And as any Dopey knows and this DOPE knows now, that is not the time for your first marathon. I also had a knee injury in early December that hampered me.

I have running for a couple years now and have gotten my mileage up to peak around 40 miles/wk during training. I started running to get healthier to help me lose weight. I also lost 70lbs in 2024 with about 15 more to lose to get to 10-12% body fat. So I have gotten my running base to where I think I can train well. I also added strength training to reduce the chances of injury, I researched proper running form as I found out I was over-striding. And I have started to follow a training plan (Runna) rather than just taking off and every run being how hard I can push 8-10 miles. I am currently running a half marathon on Feb 8th to hopefully log a time around 2hrs that will hopefully move me up from Corral E that I was in for the 2025 races, and I am using a Runna training plan for the Carmel, IN marathon on April 19th. I also have 2 more half marathons I am signed up for later in the year. I was hoping to find another marathon around the early fall potentially, but I want to make sure I have plenty of time leading up to Dopey 2026. My goal is to complete it this time.

So my question is how do you train for the Dopey? Runna, for example, doesn't really have a plan for something like that. I can input a marathon as the goal, but its definitely more than that. When do you start your training focus on those races? 16 weeks? 20 weeks? Longer? How do you train differently than for a marathon? This last year I tried to stack a few long runs, but that along with running every run as hard as I could at 8-10 miles and improper form with no strength training is what caused me to injury myself I think. So I am looking for advice as I plan out my running training for the year. I kind of feel like I am transitioning from being a beginning runner to an intermediate runner, not necessarily based on race times (my marathon time goal according to Runna is around 4:15-4:30, so I am not setting any records) but based on being more serious about my training, strength workouts, form, planning, nutrition, and focus. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

Siblings in different corrals

Just got into town for DL Half Marathon. My sister and I signed up for the half and put the same expected finish time but we ended up separated into D and E. Is she able to hang back and join me in E or should we talk to runner relations about moving me up to D?

Disneyland 10k corrals letters

Hey all,

Does anyone know what the last corral is for the 10k? Trying to figure out where my letter falls. I'm doing the challenge and oddly enough I'm way higher than usual for the half (and higher than the 10k if I'm correct in assuming the 10k letter comes first) but I'll be falling back with some friends anyway.

When do I get there?!

Hi all! I have asked before on what time I should arrive to the corral area for the half marathon. Majority of the answers were telling me 0500 however I saw this schedule saying the race starts at 0500 😮. I didn’t submit a POT so I know I’ll be towards the back. Help a first timer out, I’m stressed 😩

Dolphin busses during Wine and Dine

Has anyone here stayed at the Dolphin for Wine and Dine and not had a car? I'm in the fortunate situation where I don't think I've ever had to rely on a Disney bus for a RunDisney race. I stayed at Shades of Green in 2021 for Wine and Dine and walked to the start (my absolute favorite!), I stayed at a hotel near the start/finish line for the Disneyland half weekend last year so I also walked, and I stayed at the Poly for Dopey this year with a car so I drove to the 5K and 10K and took the monorail for the half and full. I never left earlier than 3:45 for the races and I was in corral A. I feel like this has skewed my perception of how long I need to allot to get to races 😆 I'm staying at the Dolphin for Wine and Dine this year and wondering how long the bus takes to get to the race. Is it typical to wait a while for a bus to show up?

October Wine and Dine races - easier to get a spot with a combo registration?

First timer here. I want to do the Half Marathon and maybe the 10k, but Half is most important. Is it easier to get a spot in Half Marathon if I sign up for just the Half or does the Disney Two Course challenge give me a better chance?
