Hi all!
I'm visiting in June and I'm looking up which shoes to wear.
I've seen so many people saying they wore crocs to the park, can anyone who wore them and recommends them please share which model ther wore? I've never wore crocs before so I'm completely lost on the topic
I'm thinking of taking a pair of Sketchers and then changing to crocs if I get tired and for water rides
Thanks for the help!!!
Hello everyone! Me, my fiancé, and a couple of other friends are planning a Disneyland/California Adventure trip in October 2026. We are planning to get a 2 bedroom suite at the Pixar Place but I've seen online a couple of times where people have booked a 2 bedroom suite and when they get there they have been given a 1 bedroom suite... is this something I should be worried about? There will be 4 of us in total and I just don't want to end up not having enough beds for everyone (and nobody wants to sleep on a pull out bed on their vacation either). Tia!!
I’m wanting to take my little one (3yo) for his 3rd birthday to Disneyland LA
I’ve been hearing about lots of wait times for the big rollercoasters etc
But is there a lot of wait times for the basic toddler stuff like the teacups and dumbo etc ?
These are the rides we were planning on going on:
Tea cups Jungle Cruise Pirates Of the Caribbean Haunted Mansion Dumbo Peter Pan Alice & Wonderland Small World Mickey Minnie Runaway Railway
Should we look at getting multipasses or are these not really long wait time rides?
Thanks!
Was wondering if it's possible to accompany a partner standing in queue for a ride, then have the partner that doesn't want to ride simply wait by the exit afterwards? We just found out my wife is expecting and we're going to Disney in 3 weeks. There are a few rides I wish to ride that may not be safe for her anymore but we still want to stick together so we were wondering if there's any issues with us standing in line together then just before boarding the ride, she steps off to wait by the exit? Please advise!
My 5 year old LOVES dress up and Star Wars. His dream is to wear his bobafet helmet (it covers his face) or a storm trooper costume with a balaclava (lol). Is this allowed?
We are from Texas and had made loose plans to visit Disneyland sometime in May/summer (verbal plans only, no money was put down in any way).
Those that live in the area: are we correct in assuming that it would be nearly impossible to find lodging due to displacement of people due to the fires?
We will also be in the area (LA & OC) seeing friends, so staying in or near park wasn’t specifically in the plans—to be clear, no advice requested on staying in-park.
Edit: Cool thanks everyone, I’ll just google!
I am making a short weekend trip to the parks in April to get a ride in on Muppetvision before it goes away. 3 nights at all star movies and 2 days in the parks. It's the best I can afford time and money wise. Obviously I will do one day on Hollywood Studios, but I can't decide what to do for my other day! I love Epcot, but I have been to flower and garden festival before, and really would like to experience a different one if I go there again. I have tickets without park hopper because I don't particularly love hopping. So the debate is MK or AK. I will preface with I have never actually been to AK, but the early closure and lack of overall rides is dissuading me a bit. I think in an ideal world I would hop MK and AK the second day, but I don't think I can add hopper for just one day, if I remember correctly. If this is possible how would I go about doing it? I'm more of a Disneyland girl, and it's much more easy to one park one day over there!! And if anyone has any other must dos for a quick trip I always love recommendations, I haven't been in a while so anything new I might've missed would be awesome :)
Heading to DL/DLCA in couple days and have questions about quick service and carts for dining. I’ve read other posts about asking to speak to cast members and to see the binder for ingredients but can you only book time slots for quick service if you pre order food. Anyone with info on how that works? Say next available arrival is 25 mins out but you want to look at the binder? Tia for any info.
I'm planning to go to Disneyland this year, but I can't decide which of these events to go form If you could only choose one, which of these would you go to:
Planning on going for 90s nite and I was considering staying a couple nights at the Disneyland hotel, just wondering if the club level is worth it.
We have dinner reservations at 6:20p in Feb at Disneyland for 6 people. As we are planning evening activities after dinner, how long should we plan on dinner taking?
Hello all, was wondering what time the ticket booths open as I was wanting to upgrade my pass! Hoping to do it as soon as they open 🙂
Looking for Disney dining recommendations. It will be myself and my 8 year old daughter, who is a basic little kid picky-ish eater. We'll be staying for 5 days, two days at MK and one day at each of the rest. Character dining is a plus, but we also would like some non-reservations food options also.
Last year for our first visit we did character dining at Garden Grill, Crystal Palace and Cinderella's Castle. For reference, I felt the food at Cinderella's was meh and we both just enjoyed the experience more that the food. At Epcot, we had Garden Grill which my daughter loved the Mac and cheese. We also had Casey's Corner. (we only did 3 days last visit).
This time I am thinking we'll try Roundup Rodeo BBQ at HS and Chef Mickey's for breakfast, but I would love to hear any of your favorites to try this time. Especially, some easier grab and go spots at the parks.
We’re going to Disneyland on Monday with 8, 9 year olds for my twins’ birthday. The school has a random day off (teacher in-service day).
Because of the kids $50 ticket, it actually isn’t a terrible birthday party option, but I’m trying to plan out some lower priced food options to feed the crowd. We’ll be there for lunch and dinner. I’m bringing snack packs for each kid but don’t plan to pack lunches.
Any ideas? We’d prefer to stay within Disneyland and DT Disney. Thanks!
Looking at going at the end of May because we want to see Paint the Night when it returns & the 70th kicks off on the 16th.
We are considering either being in the park May 15th-18th OR the following weekend, which would be Memorial Day weekend.
I would think Memorial Day weekend will have higher crowds due to the long weekend + the celebration.
Thoughts?
As the title says, I have spent some time at the Polynesian these last few years and am looking to expand into the Grand Floridian, but don't know what to make of some reviews.
My rooms at the Polynesian are always clean, comfortable and, most of all- quiet. Can I expect the same at Grand Floridian? Some reviews state the walls are thin, and given WDW's restrictive check-in process that assigns all rooms ahead of time, am not sure I'll be able to request (or get) a room without a connecting door.
Also, can anyone speak to the HVAC controls? I'm able to override the Polynesian system to drop the temperature to 65 degrees and remove the motion sensor- are the HVAC controls the same in the Grand Floridian? I have read other WDW resorts have HVAC that keeps the rooms hot and stuffy, and I tend to sleep like a polar bear.
Advice on these things (or any other insight) would be most welcome!
Thought this would be a cool idea. I haven’t been to WDW in 11 years!!!! But I am going this year with my with and our 5 yr old and 2 year old (all 3 of them have never been before) and I am beyond excited to see their smiles and make memories with them in a place that I have so many memories.
Anyway, being out of the game for so long I have been watching a lot of YouTube channels and reading a ton of posts and thought, we should start a thread where we all can put ONE tip, the biggest thing we learned the hard way or learned from someone that made our experience infinitely better while staying and visiting parks in WDW! Feel free to add on and comment your best tips and tricks!!!!
We are going to Disney World in June with a group of 13 adults and 3 kids ages 7,3, and 11. Is it realistic to be thinking we can all stay together for most of the day? Also we are staying off property and some will be taking Ubers while others will have to drive due to car seat. If we want to rope drop together will it be easy to meet up? Some members of the group think this won't be a problem to stay all together, but I'm not sure...
Doing a combo trip upcoming. Disney cruise first followed by WDW stay on property. Does my 60 day window for dining resis open on my cruise debarking date or my hotel check in date?
Good Morning,
We are going March 31st to 4th and keep trying to book breakfast for our family of 6, but booking seems limited due to the renovation. Is there a time when they will open this up for bookings or am I doing something wrong? Appreciate any guidance here.
I am looking for something quite specific and hoping someone will know where I should look. The list lover in me would like a simple set of lists for the parks Rides Attractions Shows/fireworks/parades etc Character meets Places to eat
I know they have the info on the app and website i just wanted something a bit more user friendly and all in one place
I am planning a trip to WDW for March with my adult siblings and our mom. We have been going to Disney every other year since we were kids so we have been many times. We typically will do all four parks on our trips. This time we decided to plan only 2 park days. One at Epcot and one at MK. We want to take advantage of some of the other fun things at Disney like resort hopping, mini golf and dining. I’m worried that we are going to be disappointed and regret not doing the extra day at the park. Has anyone done a trip like this? And if so would you recommend it? We also splurged for a stay at the Beach Club so we want to save a little money and get to enjoy the resort. Lmk your thoughts…
i am trying to plan for a disneyland trip for me and a friend.
We are not big on rides, and definitely not going on any thrill/fast rides. so we dont need things like Lightning Lane pass.
We are mainly interested in going there for the parades, pictures, some foods, merch, etc. probably will do 2 days.
i was wondering what are some things i should look into and its prices? the only thing thats obvious are hotels to stay, park ticket, park hopper, and lightning pass.
how do i get more info on like parades, costume characters, places/things to take pictures of, etc? are those all free i assume?
lastly, im looking at the "DisneyLand resort" hotels. Other than the room and the park tickets, what exactly comes with it? im so curious on why its so expensive.
for example, the cheapest for a random date i am choosing (i have checked several dates) are in the $600 range / night. the park tickets are still separate add ons. albeit somewhat of a discount. but i initially thought they were baked into the cost atleast. but it is not.
or, i can choose literally 1 of millions hotel thats around disneyland, which has several GREAT hotels, for ~~$200/night range.
is there anything else that disneyland resorts give? 1 thing i did find is that you get to go in 30 min earlier. but its very debatable if thats worth an extra $400 per night.
Okay so I know how this question may look. Too lazy to budget...right? On contrary, I genuinely am just trying to confirm if I'll be okay or not because a family member keeps insisting I won't have enough.
For context a friend and I haven't seen each other in a long time and thought it would be nice to spend a week together to catch up this October. 3 of those days that week will be spent inside of the Disneyland park and DCA.
We do not have a hotel room in the park, it will be one nearby. We have other plans for the days we are not doing Disney. Yes, the sane $5000 budget will apply to all that as well.
For our 3 days at Disney we are plan to buy general admission for full days in each park for one day. So Wensday will be Disney, Thursday will be DCA, abd the last Friday will be Disney again.
My friend is pretty insistant on dining at some pretty pricey places. Blue Bayou, Goofy's Kitchen, Carthay Circle, Lamplight Lounge, and Carnation Café i believe it's called. One of these for one of meals each day. Like we were going to do Goofy's for breakfast, Carnation for lunch, and Bayou for dinner for example.
I only have to worry about myself. Thus $5000 is my budget. Also I was planning on not paying for parking and just taking Uber to and from the park. Our hotel is close enough.
Since we are staying in a hotel nearby and not on site i was also considering renting a locker each day for any souvenirs i buy.
So guys, what do you think? With that information do you guys think my budget is enough? I believe I'll be fine but like I said, someone else is making me paranoid that it won't be enough.
sorry if this has been answered before in a previous post but i keep finding conflicting answers:
if (on the app) my magic key says it expires 02/07 but i was able to make a reservation for 02/07, can i renew it that day? i'm paranoid that i'm going to show up on the 7th and i'll suddenly be unable to renew my pass 😅
i’ve been living in socal for school for the past two/three years, and i was wondering if i could use my utility bills (for an off campus apartment) as a proof or residency? i saw before you were able to but i’ve been seeing recently that you’re not able to. i even called customer service and they said the only government id is allowed. does anyone know if this is actually true or has been able to get in recently (as in this past month) with their utility bills or student id?
my boyfriend is also socal resident with government id & a billing address in socal, if he purchases my ticket and i have my bills to show as proof will this work?
please lmk we’re trying to buy day park tickets for star wars nite 4/24 🥲.
We went to Disney in 2004 when my son was 4 years old. We will be taking him, his wife, and daughter (who will be 4 years) old in October of 2025. There will be other family members like great grandparents. We plan to rent a house with a private pool like we did last time. We plan to go to all four parks over that time frame. I know a lot has changed and I/We are furiously trying to catch up. Is there anything that stands out for the time frame we should be concerned about?
I want to stay on property this year at Disneyland. How much did you spend or what should I expect to spend with just Hotel and Tickets (including LL). Thank You!
EDIT: I want so thank you to you all for the helpful responses. I'm new here on reddit, so thank you again!
