Disneybounding is a fashion trend started by Leslie Kay on tumblr a few years ago. It's wearing normal clothes while dressing like a Disney character (think cosplaying with normal clothes).
For example: A black shirt with red pants and yellow shoes is a disneybound as Mickey Mouse. Blue jacket, white shirt, blue jeans and yellow shoes? Donald Duck. More examples can be found on Leslie's tumblr
This is a community for sharing pictures, inspiration for outfits, and questions or advice, and anything else related to Disneybounding! Anyone from avid Disneybounders to those still trying to figure it out are welcome!

I was planning on trying out a fresh new idea: Sailor shirt top, and nude from the waist down. My three nephews are on board, but I worry about getting through security. What do?
Going to to Disney land this coming February. Me and my dad want to go as Indiana jones and Dr. jones Sr. Since they both just where fairly normal clothing do you think I would be stopped at the entrance and asked to alter my attire? If so, would it be feasible to like put my hat in my bag tell I’m in the park (to be less recognizable as Indiana) and put it on later once in the park or would I get stop by a cast member later on in the park.
Right so I'm going to Disney World in March 2025 for the first time as an adult (went once when I was 12 or so) My bestie and I are doing 4 park days and want to theme our outfit for each park. I'm obsessed with the one and only Mickey Mouse. But I'm having trouble with an Epcot theme Mickey...
MK: Classic Mickey AK: Safari Mickey HS: Sorcerer Mickey Epcot: ?!
Any suggestions are helpful :)
I've been having a hard time finding anything that would represent an elsa disneybound. I was looking at her fifth spirit outfit and maybe it's too complicated...I also have violet-brown hair so I've been having self-doubts about if I can pull off elsa. But I've wanted to dress as elsa since I was a teen so I at least want to try. Does anyone have any tips?
Thank you!!
I've tried to find stuffs and look that would fit with ariel theme but mostly they're all summer. Anyone has dressup in winter especially ariel before? Please kindly share☺️
I bought a top that looks really close to the top part of Ariel's pink ballgown. I was looking for a pink skirt with a white panel down the middle, but it seems that doesn't exist. What would you suggest? Just a plain pink skirt? Thanks!
Going to Disneyland soon, super excited! I’m planning to do Esmerelda since it’s one of my favorite movies. I’m just planning on wearing a white button up shirt with a sun and moon on the collar, a purple skirt with some white ruffle trim and a purple bandana in my hair. I also have a djali plush I’d love to bring to tie it all together (also I have a backpack he can stay in on rides and stuff) but would it be too much?
I’m not adding a green corset thing, the skirt is only knee length not ankle and I don’t have her belt sash so I feel like I might be okay since I’m missing some key elements? But better safe than sorry!
Wanting to Disneybound but flying carry-on only. If I were to create a travel capsule for Disneybounding, what would be the most common color(s)? (Female)
Has anyone seen a split pink and white skirt that looks like the bottom half of Ariel's pink ball gown? It doesn't have to be so puffy, I was just looking for a pink skirt with white down the middle. Thank you!
Yes I know he can wear the dress, but his father will not allow it. He is my nephew and I want to see if I can make his wish come true if being Asha for Halloween without drama. I’ve been searching and coming up short. Any of you creatives have some ideas?
I'm doing a Walt Disney bound (I'm a women) I have a grey skirt and top but I'm debating on a vest or a jacket as well as something else to make it a bit more obvious who I am any ideas?
I’ve got some green keens that I’ll wear for the park but I cannot figure out how to attach her iconic pompoms. They’d need to be removable at the end of the day so I can continue to wear them, obviously. Any ideas on bounding for Tink in general would be greatly appreciated!
I’ve got some watermelon Barbie pink shorts and I need some bounding ideas. Boo?
We’re going for MNSSH this year and I’ve got the base pieces down, tops, bottoms, etc but how can I step it up? Especially on a budget.
I’m doing Daisy, Ariel and Oswald. I’ve got ears, the clothes, and now I need the extras. But I also know it’s HOT in October. Any ideas?
