Thrill rides

Hey. I am a lover of thrill rides, just visited PortAventura 3rd time and it’s been great experience all 3 times, and i will be in Paris soon, should i visit disneyland if i mostly enjoy thrill rides, not storytelling? Does disneyland have something really “thrilling”?

Probably a stupid question, are there any dining plans that include unlimited drinks?

Annual Pass or not?

Hi,

We're thinking about getting an annual pass (most likely October, but since we're going in June as well I'm asking it now)

We like to go 2-3 times per year and always want to stay at a disney park hotel. Once per year either Marvel or Disneyland, and the rest would be something cheaper (SL or maybe NPB)

We'll always stay 2-4 days and on average 3 (so 9 days per year on average)
We will need the Gold pass for sure.
If we decide to go more due to having a AP that would be nice, but I don't want to factor that in for now.
Shopping wise, I assume we spend around 1000 euro per visit on souvenirs and food (so 150 euro discount)

Anyone can guide us in what would be the best scenario? and how are the hotel prices for AP holders?
I've also looked into getting one pass and one books the hotels, but since the AP hotel info is not visible I can't make a comparison.

Assuming we start October our visit plan most likely is : Oct 2024 - Dec 2024 (short visit) - Frozen land opening / Spring 2025 - September/October 2025. so for the coming 12 months it's 4 or MAYBE 5 times.

We're kinda clueless in what to do.

Do tickets get sold out?

Planning on going for the last days of October but wanted to know if I should buy my tickets now or if I can wait for May le a couple month before my trip. Do tickets for those days get sold out or am I safe on waiting a bit to buy them?

Single parent with Two children

So I’m thinking of taking my two girls (10 & 8) to Disney land? Is this possible? They are both above the minimum height for majority of rides. They both really want to go there. Am I delusional?

The most wonderful time

Before anyone says this is a cheap engagement ring- yes, it is! I also know where it came from! I told my fiance I didn't want an expensive ring and could do without a ring at all, but... I got my perfect proposal. Maybe it's cheesy or cringey or whatever, but I'm very happy.

This was my first time visiting Disneyland Paris! Honestly, it was amazing- the accessibility made it the easiest holiday I've ever had, and that amazed me. It was a childhood dream of mine to meet the characters, and I have an autograph book crammed full of signatures and photographs. I have a new Frozen Loungefly bag and matching ears. I went on every single ride at least once, met the dragon under the castle, had some really comforting treat food, and genuinely had the magical time I've hoped to have for almost 30 years.

Thank you everyone who provided help and support before I went because I was so anxious!

Easy Pass

Hello, I hold an EU passport but live in the USA. I have a blue parking placard for USA and a chronic illness from the DLP list, can I still apply for easy pass even if I live in USA? Thank you.

Walt’s

We celebrated my nieces birthday this weekend in DLP. Everything was wonderful but we were quite disappointed with Walt’s as our dinner option. Lindsay our waitress was rude, insisting that my niece is now an adult and should eat from the adult menu (even when downstairs they said it was fine) the corn soup was cold. Whenever plates were cleaned the waitress made sure to bump in to me and grab all plates instead of walking around, mid dessert we already got the bill and had to pay.

All staff we had this weekend was wonderful except one. Still it was an amazing trip and a birthday that will be remembered.

Also we loved the Disney premier ultimate access.

First family DLP trip

This will be our first DLP trip and we know almost nothing about how to get there and where to stay. We’ve been recommended to stay outside of the park at the Davy Crockett ranch. However just getting there is a pain from Kent in the UK. What do people recommend in terms of getting there? I believe the park tickets to be the price they are and not much wiggle room but the Eurostar is a joke price wise, any help would be appreciated!

Upgrading to a golden yearpass

Hey guys. Currently on our way to day 2 at DLP

Unfortunately we figured out that our little ones (6 and 2) like it VERY VERY much.

We bought two days two park tickets in advance without hotel.

Now we are thinking about buying a golden pass.

Question is: will our current tickets be taken into account and reduce the price of 699€ per ticket? We paid 620€ for the two days to parks (2 adult, one kid)

Have a nice day.

Update: no discount in my case.

Castle Club Disneyland Hotel

1- Is there a buffet for afternoon snacks, evening dinner, and late night desserts? Grand Floridian club level has breakfast buffet plus the other 3 buffet meal times & I haven’t seen anything online regarding this. 2- What time does Breakfast and Afternoon snack time/tea start? 3- Like a week before check in date, since I’ve already paid for reservations in full, can I Call a Disneyland Hotel Cast member (someone working IN the hotel) to help me set up early Arrival for like 1 AM? Thanks

Last train to DLP from gare du nord

Hi!

We arrive at approximately 8:35 pm on the Eurostar at gare du nord. Was wondering if you all knew the latest train that ran from there to DLP and what the exact trains/transfers we need to take are? Are there even trains running that late to DLP? We could also take an Uber but it would be much more than the train. Thanks!

Are there certain spots/places to take photos with characters?

Hi! My daughter would love to meet Elsa and the other princesses/characters, I was wondering if there's specific places to meet them? :)

Is there no way to book room and tickets separately?

I know that we are probably in the minority, but our plan (family of 5) was to spend 5 nights at DLP in late June with just 3 park days. Our last day we would spend in the city. Firstly, it appeared you could not book for more than 4 nights. I’ve overcome that challenge but the room rates seem astronomical ($6000 for Newport Bay Beach). Then I noticed that this rate automatically included 6 days of park tickets. I only need 3 days which cost $1550 for the 5 of us if I buy them by themselves. That leaves $4450 for the room?? That’s $890/night- more expensive than the Grand Floridian for the same dates in FL.

The forseen crackdown has arrived as WDW and DLR

Of course, as we have discussed, there is not much expectation they can catch people, but at least I will not have to sit in the regular queue and listen to people trade cheating strategies. (Hopefully?)

Let's hope DLP is next.

First time visiting since 2020, any tips?

Hey guys! We're heading back to Disneyland Paris for the first time since early 2020.

I was just wondering if there was anything new that we should look out for? Any new rides, shows, or restaurants you guys recommend?

I've been more focused on Florida in recent years so totally out of the loop!

Breakfast at Annette's Diner

I've found most answers to my questions here, so thanks to all who ask and moreover those that answer. One I wasn't sure of though; if we have half board, can we just walk into the park in the morning and use the breakfast voucher for Annette's Diner rather than the hotel's breakfast options, please?

Best junior suite Disneyland Hotel

Hiya, my mom and I are looking to book either the Rapunzel or Sleeping Beauty junior suit. Does anyone have any idea which, out of these two, has the best view? There isn't that much visual information for the junior suites yet, unfortunately.

Do these popcorn buckets open fully to clean?!

Bought this last month in Disneyland Paris, obviously the flap at the front open and closes to eat from it, but does anyone know if it separates to clean? It looks like the red bottom should come away from the black top, but I don't want to break it!

The Disney Village MacDonald's is an incredible time capsule

The themed McDonald's of Disney Village features sculptures of mascots and characters that date back to the 80s and 90s, before the brand decided to (was forced to?) stop using them to market to children. The cashier station is incredibly decorated, the sculptures hanging above and around the entrance and into the second floor... It's a shame that, apparently, it will be replaced by a modem McDonald's within the next few years. If you've never gone inside of it, take a peek during your next visit before it's gone!

Half-board Plus, is it worth it?

I understand that there are already many threads on this issue but I can't really understand how half-board can be convenient. I booked 3 nights in the sequoia hotel, and I can only add the plus version of the half-board meal plan (not the standard one).

It costs 65€ per person, per night, how is it convenient? It's exactly the cost of breakfast+ the cost of any AYCE restaurant, why would I pay in advance?

Am i missing something?

Questions about magic passes

Hey! I'm going to Disneyland Paris for the first time in 10+ years, so quite a few things has changed, this includes magic passes. So, I have a few questions that I hope someone can answer.

  • How big is the passes? We're planning on bringing lanyards but we would like to know what size "pockets" we need to order.

  • From what I understand it's possible to buy things on the room/with the card. How much does this cover? Can we compeltely avoid bringing a credit card?(And thus hopefully not worry about pickpockets)

Downtown Restaurant & Pym

We are going in November and looking to book one of the above mentioned. Both our boys have dairy intolerance, dodgy tummy etc.

Does anyone have any experience with these 2 for options? Don’t want to spend the money on both of them for a bowl of chips etc just a few decent options.

What are peoples thoughts?
