I need your collective knowledge. As a European Disney fan, we don't get as much Disney magic as in the USA. So I want to bring a bit Disneymagic to us Europeans. I'm a something like a Disney content creator. Anyway, the Make-a-Wish Foundation is much less prominent in Europe than in the USA. That's why I've decided to walk 430 miles from my hometown to Disneyland Paris and collect donations along the way. My question to you: Has anyone ever walked a similarly long distance just for Disneyland? It would be incredibly fitting to use in a video if not. Thanks for reading anyway.
My son and I will be spending two days at Disneyland this weekend. We have the park hopper and genius as well. My wife will join us for just one day at Disneyland on Friday.
Any tips? We have the Disney credit card and and I picked up some pins to trade.
Staying at the Marriott, not at the Disney hotels. Will have to drive in and park, or should we Uber?
TIA

Hello! To anyone who either works as a cast member or has applied, could you tell me a little about the application process?
I hear HR can take a while to go through the hiring process with candidates, but is it worth applying for a position that has been listed for 6+ months? I have heard you really only catch HR's attention if you apply like, immediately when its listed. I could imagine there is a high volume of applicants after all..
And did you address your cover letter to a specific individual at HR? Could I just do a linkdin search and find someone's name to address it to? And this one I think I already know the answer to, but I need to craft completely different letters for each application/position I'm applying for, right? Thanks!
And good luck to anyone who is also in the applying process!
This seems so basic but I've been unable to find it: a current list of all rides that excludes non-ride attractions.
The closest I got was using the attractions list on Disneyland.com, but the filter options either don't include all rides or include at least a few things that aren't rides.
Anyone who could point me in the right direction would be much appreciated.
I don’t like super fast rollercoasters so I’m wondering what are ones that are 45mph or slower
This is the ride I have done that's 45 but it don't have spins or huge drops
Also a clean black hat like this..
Does anyone know what gluten free buns they use at Disneyland, specifically Hungry Bear? I had a gluten free cheeseburger there and the bun was so good. Highly recommend it.
Throughout the years, there have been MANY different entertainment offerings and shows at the Disney theme parks around the world… but what is the best one OF ALL TIME!?!?! I’d love to hear what the Disney theme park community would have to say about this! Please let me know your thoughts! :)
It’s been a few years, so I figured I’d share a mildly amusing people which I'm sure some will find annoying. My SO and I had brought one of those wagon strollers to the park not knowing they weren't allowed (I actually agree with the rule, we just didn't know).
They wouldn’t let us in with it, so we suddenly had a predicament. My SO didn’t want to have to walk all the way back to the hotel, and the kids didn’t want to wait, either. I suddenly had an idea.
I took the stroller to Lost & Found outside the park and said “I think someone left this because it was just sitting by itself by the gates and they’ll probably want it back.” L&F happily took it, and we went into the park. My SO thought I was nuts, thinking for sure we’d never get it back. I said “who would go claim a stroller at lost and found if they hadn’t even lost one?”
Sure enough, at the end of the day we went back to “claim” it, and the kids appreciated the ride in it back to the hotel after a long day.
I’m sure the staff was wise to what I was doing but winked at it. To anyone annoyed by the “abuse”, I’m sorry! But for us, it was one of those fun quirky memories of a Disney trip! 😄
I’m going to be in Tokyo for a few weeks over the summer, and am returning to the states on June 7th. There are still seemingly tickets available for June 6th which is the OPENING DAY of Fantasy Springs at Disney Sea. How stupid of me would it be to try to visit opening day? I’ve been to Tokyo Disney before and have family in Japan, so chances are I’ll be back in a few years and could make a visit when the crowds have died down. I’m not sure if I’ll get to experience anything at all, or if I’d be making a foolish choice.
Going to Disneyland tomorrow…yay! Hoping to get my very first Silhouette Souvenir of myself, bf, and one solo of our dog. I have a great profile photo of my dog ready to go. Any idea on the best time to hop in line? Can we pick up the portraits later? Any info on the wait would be helpful! Thanks!!!
If anyone hasn't thought of this, I'd be surprised. But, I feel this would be an excellent overlay to implement for the Pixar Fest. Disney could go about this in two ways -
A simple overlay of a new pre-show with Doug and Russel talking about how they need to help a citizen learn about the world with updated audio while the Soarin Over the World is occurring. They talk about factoids of the scenes and at the end, we hear Mr. Carl asking where they are. This allows for a simple way to have a version of Over the World that's different and could be implemented during Pixar-themed events across all parks.
A more extensive overlay would be best as a test for the existing attractions for a future version of Soarin. A fully animated version akin to the 2019’s The Lion King that flies around different scenes of Pixar films with Doug and Russel narrating with cameos of different characters of the Pixar films. Of the four or five films that could be included, aside from Up: Ratatouille for Paris; Cars for Western America; Luca for Italy; Turning Red for San Francisco; and Coco for the Land of the Dead. This could also have a randomized play for three different films that have different scenes across the Pixar film catalog.
I'd love to see both versions and could see Disney going in either direction. But the first option would be the easiest to implement, especially for Pixar-themed events, and see how it does. With the latter being a full-fledged update for a new version of the ride for another park. I know there are detractors of not liking the overlay of IPs on the original attractions. But, this is a way of gaining interest in the ride for a new generation.
Are there any rides that you would like to see overlays for special events? And what could those events be?
I have figured it out! How about an expansion of Disney’s Hollywood Studios into the area between World Drive and Buena Vista Drive, which is west of the main park? A patch of land in that area is listed as "suitable" in the CFTOD plans.
They should really consider adding hills to Toontown in Tokyo. It helps sell the immersion. It’s not natural but neither is the concrete you’re walking on.
Rides like indianna jones are constantly broken down for 10-120 minutes all the time and it’s not uncommon for lots of the rides to do that randomly. What’s actually happening to the ride when it is broken down? Is the computer glitching, is there a faulty animatronic? I’d love to know the inner workings! Thanks
Hi All
Looking at the options and would appreciate a view on the above.
I just came back from visiting for the first time this past week. I have only been to WDW once in 2016. I have many thoughts about both parks, some controversial to those who have Disneyland Resort as their “home” park. The quaint nature of the park made it feel, early in the morning, very pleasant to be in. But, as the day went on, the more people that came into each park the busier it felt. Yes, I’m aware of the size of the park, and is the reason why Disneyland Forward is being done. A negative I have to say is not related directly to the resort, but it has to be said. The large presence of homelessness around the resort, especially around the Toy Story parking lot. With how large the Disney corporation is and the amount of profit the resorts make it seems shortsighted on Disney’s behalf to not assist the city of Anaheim in providing support for this. Especially, when it's right next door to their prize property. I’m not trying to get political here nor do I want it to become in the comments. I’m just pointing out this as a visitor. I enjoyed my time in the parks and will be planning on coming back in the next few years.
P.S. DCA has better individual-themed areas than Disneyland, outside of Galaxy’s Edge.
Just pure speculation here, but do you think it ever will go back to, if not the OG Jules Verne theming, general sci-fi/steampunk? The Galaxy’s Edge expansion there got cancelled, so I can’t help but wonder if this is some way to keep Star Wars popular outside of Star Tours. Ik the Hyperspace Mountain overlay was temporary, but it seems like a lazy retheme if it’s meant to be permanent. Walt Disney Studios is getting some much needed TLC next door, so how about extending that same care to the greatest Space Mountain Disney has produced?
