Hey! Friend and I are in california for 2 more days and want to check out Disneyland before we leave. Is there anyway to find tickets less than 100+? I read you can get discounted if you're a resident but our one friend is out of town.
My son is 33 months old. First Disney visit!
He is about 39 inches tall.
Which Disneyland land should I visit first in the morning which would be busier later?
Which land is it's a small world in?
I'm looking at one day one park tickets on getaway, undercover, and AAA and they are all priced higher than buying directly from disneyland. I also tried a few variations, ph, LL, etc and I'm getting the same result.
Am I reading something incorrectly or is it now cheaper to buy directly from Disneyland?
Thank you!
Do bags at Disneyland have to be clear?
I'm gonna need to pack diapers, wipes, etc.
Also, if I have a small back then will they let me take it on rides?
What about a cross body?
I know on the website it says it officially starts the 15th but I’m just wondering if the lights are on now? Thank you!
Hi! I would usually consider myself a Disney pro, however, we just had a baby and will be going to Disney world in January when he is 6 months old and I’ve never gone with a baby!
My group consists of myself, my husband, both of my parents, and baby- I’ve seen so many transportation options to get to the resorts from MCO but I would love some personal experiences?
We won’t be bringing a car seat- and would need transport that can accommodate, also we would prioritize speed over cost :)
Pls share all the information plus tips & tricks!
Do all rides have this?
It seems like lightning lane is only for a select few rides?
Disappointing because I have an impatient toddler but I'm going the week before Thanksgiving on a weekday so it shouldn't be too busy.
Is the Magic Band+ worth it?
My fiancé and I just got our passes and went last night to the parks. We had talked about the bands, but once we got to the parks we noticed not a lot of people had them. As I understand it, it’s really used only for entry to the parks and lightning lanes, so it even worth it? We already have two other visits scheduled this month and 2 in December.
Will answer any questions.
As per title - coming in January and would love to know where would be a great place for a decent lunch (food ideal for a 1 and 6yo).
Thanks!!
Hey friends!
I’ve been going to Disneyland consistently for the past four years. I have only ever booked a trip through the vacation packages on the Disneyland website. Doing this has made me very use to going on a payment plan and forgetting about the rest!
I decided to bite the bullet and get a magic key since I live about 1 hour away by plane in Vegas. My plan is to go at least once a month (Friday-Sunday weekend trip). I feel like I’m booking wrong, though. So I have a few questions
-Are there anywhere ways to book and get a discount?
-Do you have any recommendations on hotels that are a walkable distance but won’t break the bank (I know a big ask)
I would truly welcome and appreciate all information and tips I can get!
Everything I can find online is very focused on rides, and honestly I can’t think of many things worse than waiting in line. Planning on going to WDW with my wife and soon to be 2 year old daughter and just want to walk around and enjoy the atmosphere. Is that a thing? If we were to do that, should we save our money on the park passes and just stay in Magic Kingdom? Things like fireworks at the castle and maybe the safari and perhaps the odd ride like Pirates of the Caribbean or Avatar just to do them.
Any tips for us? Planning to go Monday through Friday in January and stay in one of the resorts without spending an arm and a leg. Since our kid isn’t two yet we’d be saving money on the flight and stay so that helps.
All tips would be appreciated!
Hi! I just did a whirlwind WDW trip with a group of friends, and I was taken aback by the 7 day advance tiered LLMP prebooking system. We're booking at DL/DCA soon, and I'm not seeing anything about prebooking LL's or a tiered system at all. Can someone just verify that the the west coast system is still same day booking of LLMP with LLSP for Radiator springs and RotR? I haven't been since Nov '22. Thanks!!
I'm taking my daughter for her 10th birthday to Disneyland and California Adventure this Tuesday and Wednesday and would love some advice on how to maximize our trip. We booked a hotel next door and are going to be at Disneyland by 730 to get in line for opening. We plan on staying until close on Tuesday and going to California Adventure all day Wednesday. I already have tickets, made park reservations and plan on getting lighting passes both days. We are used to walking a lot, I walk her 2 miles to school every day so she should have good stamina to make it through both parks. All I know so far is to make reservations for Haunted Mansion at 7am and to utilize the disneyland App to order food ahead of time. Other than that I would greatly appreciate people's thoughts on how to go about our day. She wants to go on all the rides and at this point I don't think there would be any rides that are too intense for her. Thank you so much for your assistance!
Hi y’all! I’ve been lurking here for awhile gaining tips and tricks from posts and recs but I need more if you’re able!
So I am taking 5 ppl to Disneyland and DCA for 3 days. 4 adults 1 kid (5yo). Day 1 we have a VIP tour (SO EXCITED)! Day 2-3 is open. We are staying on property and have already made the dining reservations we want.
I am the primary person handling planning and it’s been great but here’s where I’m stuck: VQ’s and LLMP. It feels like a job orientation trying to understand how these work and how to plan accordingly.. We are coming from out of state and I think the last time we went to Disney was about 10 years ago.
So I’m begging you amazing experts here to explain this like I am the 5 year old.
Thank you so much!
(And any added recs or pieces of advice are always welcome!)
Hi! My brother usually gets the DAS pass and we are going to disneyland tomorrow. My roommate is coming with my mom, my brother and I so that would be four of us in total. Can she be on the DAS pass even though she isn’t immediate family? I remember the last time we went and brought a friend (about 2 years ago) we were able to add my other friend who went with us. I heard it’s hit or miss but I just thought I’d ask to get a solid answer.
With the timing of previous trips landing on Haunted Mansion Holiday or construction I haven't been on OG Haunted Mansion since 2017. I know we won't have anything concrete for a while yet, but I'm curious if there are any rumors around when the holiday overlay will leave this season, and if the construction will delay the reopening of the OG. Or want to just place your bets? I know I'm not the only OG fan in this sub!
I really want to see the Candlelight Processional this year but looks like the dining package is sold out on the night I can go. I know there's some sort of standby with first come first serve. How early do I need to get in that or when does that open if I wanted to attend the late show (8:15PM)?
Hi Disney community,
me and my 13 year old daughter will be going to Disneyland CA around Christmas for 3 days we are thinking DL/DCA/DL but are flexible on the last day. We have never been to Disneyland before and need itinerary help!!! She is high sensory so we will not be going on big and scary rides ie. incredicoaster, avengers headquarters, space mountain... she has been on other roller coasters before like the wooden roller coaster at PNE so it is not that that I am worried about, we just don’t want to do scary rides. We have a DAS pass for this Trip si that will help go on more rides. just have no idea for itinerary ideas including food, show and rides ect
specific things she wants to do are: Big thunder mountain railroad, Chip and dales gadget coaster, Alice and wonderland ride, It’s a small world holiday, Teacups, Peter pans flight, Animation academy,Cars, ferris wheel, Jumping jellyfish, Soaring around the world, Luigi’s rollicking roadsters
also meet characters in both parks and see firework/parades
thanks for any suggestion/itenerarys
I tried to find the answer to this in FAQ but did not see it, forgive me if this is covered somewhere. I haven't been to Disneyland since they added the app and all these digital ways to interact, wait in queues, lightning pass etc. I'm probably over thinking this, but I'm exploring the app trying to figure out HOW I get into the park on the day of my first reservation. Will a barcode appear somewhere in the app on the day of? I am worried about getting in line and holding people up, or having missed a step when it's time for me to go through the turnstile.
Hi,
Taking my toddler to Disneyland for the first time.
It'll be a weekday, the week before Thanksgiving.
So normally he doesn't nap anymore but we will be waking up earlier for Disneyland so I think he could get sleepy.
So what would be the best time to leave and return?
We wanna be able to cover all the fun rides for his age like pirates of the carribean and it's a small world.
Hi! I’m a DWorld expert but I’m going with my 9-year-old niece who is a non-ambulatory wheelchair user. We are able to pick her out of her stroller (using instead of her powerchair) and move her to most rides. She can also take about 20-30 assisted steps and 1-2 assisted stairs. However, she can’t ride any rides where someone can’t physically wrap an arm around her for stability. For reference, she can do splash and tea cups at DWorld but can’t do Space or 7 Dwarves. Big Thunder is a maybe.
Knowing she won’t qualify for DAS, is there anything else we should know to make our trip enjoyable/easier? Any rides we should be aware of as no-go because of not being able to be in arms distance of her (or that whips violently)? Any help on using multipass? How about navigating this trip with a 9 and 13 year olds with no disability (and will want to do thrill rides)?
Someone said something about experience passes but not sure what those are or how to get them. Not sure if it’s a real thing though!
Does Disneyland Anaheim allow same day re-entry?
If yes then how does that work?
What about re-entry for parking?
Taking my toddler for the first time so I think he'll need a break!
Was already in Orlando for work and since I turn 30 next week I figured why not celebrate. Haven’t been since I was a kid. Trying to make the most of the one day here !
Do they not have fast passes anymore ??
I'd just like more Disneyland in my life, and my parents live in So Cal while I live in Nor cal. I got the lowest tier available to me (Enchant) to feel it out for the next year and not overcommit myself. I can't just go whenever because I don't live close enough and have a family, but I visit So Cal and love Disneyland enough to make it worth it. That also means since I'm not going as often as people who live nearby might, lightning lane feels necessary, especially for our upcoming annual holiday trip.
However, I just learned I can't buy a lightning lane pass till I enter the park, and they're subject to availability... so I'm wondering based on anyone's experience, will I even be able to get one for my upcoming trip? We are going for two days, one park each, during the week of Dec 9.
I know about the rider switch option, but I am wondering if there are rides that fit 3 across or allow 3 riders to sit close together? It will be me, my husband, and our 6 year old.
I have only ever rode rides at my local fair and they are all two people rides max (I know that's totally different so that's why I am asking!)
I am just trying to prepare how it will work so we can all ride together or prepare for someone to sit out (my husband LOL I am riding all the rides!)
Distance isn't an issue.
Which is better & why?
Here are the specific locations.
It'll be 3 adults and a toddler.

Both have free parking and breakfast.
Price difference is only $30 total.
I’m looking to propose to my partner in front of the Millenium Falcon. Any friends of the Mandalorian know if he goes near the ship? It’d be really cool if he could be involved somehow.
Please don’t roast me with information about how he’s possibly not related to the ship, I know very little about Star Wars, but my partner LOVES the franchise, I’m just trying to make this as magical as possible for him!
Now that daylight savings is done and the sun sets earlier, do they stop running Kilimanjaro Safari before park closes? Are there lights on the transports and/or lights along the route?
We are going to AK on a day with extended hours (until 8pm) so was wondering if they have Safari runs during that time and if you can see any animals?
Separately, now that it is cooling down, is it still best to go in the morning for most animal activity or is afternoon okay now that it is cooler?
Planning a trip for February, but I notice it's too early to see opening hour information etc on their site and I'm still undecided which exact dates I'll be going within the week that I am in LA. Should I wait to buy tickets closer to the date? but the current off-season kids promotion probably won't be available by then. Anyone have any idea how long that promotion will last?
Is it possible to make a reservation and then change it later on? What if I buy tix from a third party and link it, any caveats there?
Thanks in advance.
