I’ve been getting people knocking on the door wearing blue shirts the last couple of months and I don’t know what they want. I never answer the door. Anyone know what they’re selling?
Hello Everyone
I started working in sales after being in engineering for over a decade. I am the type of guy who can approach anyone and start talking to them about any random topic. And I enjoy it. I'm very comfortable giving presentations on the spot as well. It's taken me over 20 years to be comfortable with myself and get out of my comfort zone and I would like to give back to society and help folks in college. During my time in OC, I've encountered many people who are hesitant to talk in professional settings and struggle to develop confidence. I was hoping that anyone could give me some recommendations on where to start. I thought I'd ask the local community colleges if they are interested in the offer. Or maybe CSUF as I live nearby. This is purely a service to the community and there's no charge. I want to help others develop their social skills in a comfortable environment. Recommendations and suggestions are very welcome.
I have a mole wrecking my garden and it hasn’t been deterred by any amount of mole repellent. My husky keeps trying to dig it up making matters worse.
Is there anyone out here who does humane mole removal? Don’t want to kill the guy but he needs to go elsewhere.
I became addicted to this simple and ridiculously delicious sandwich on a trip to France. Does anyone know of anywhere locally that makes them?
I'm not looking for an American spin or the Vietnamese equivalent, just the classic French sandwich -- a high quality baguette, high quality ham, and excellent butter. With cheese is good but other changes are not. It's also not served toasted.
Appreciate the recommendations if you know anywhere!
Is this a fun pumpkin patch to go to? It’s about 30 minutes from where I live. I saw it off the freeway last weekend and I was curious.

I'm a resident of Orange and conflicted about Measure Z, which proposes raising the sales tax from 7.75% to 8.25%. For context, if someone in Orange spends $400 on Amazon, this would mean an extra $2 in taxes. While I support public services like police, parks, and libraries, I’m skeptical because the main driver of this measure seems to be years of financial mismanagement. Raising taxes doesn't guarantee better fiscal responsibility.
Other cities in Orange County—like Santa Ana, Stanton, Westminster, and La Palma—have also increased their sales taxes, yet they don’t necessarily offer top-notch public resources. I’m left wondering: Are we voting to raise taxes just to see another request in eight years, with the justification of "it's been eight years since the last increase?"
What are your thoughts? Are we helping the city or enabling mismanagement and setting ourselves up for another round of tax hikes?
We were hoping to see the parade tonight, but we were driving on part of the route last night and saw all the chairs and caution tape reserving spots. Is there anywhere on the route where you can get a spot day of? If so, how early would we need to be there?

Doesn't matter if it's a big chain or dive bar
Hello everyone,
Any recommendation for a clean coin laundry in Lake Forest?
Any recommendations for best place/person to see for highlights and cut in South Orange County?
Thanks!
Going to see Knocked Loose tonight and I haven’t been to this venue in a decade. Where’s the best places to get free or cheap parking? I know about the Santa Ana College but is there anywhere else?
I woke up missing whataburger like a mf. Are there any places up here that are close to it? Specifically their honey bbq chicken strip sandwich but I do miss the regular burgers too. And don’t recommend the Habit. God only knows why ppl like that place
Hi,
Looking for places to hang this coming week for the World Series, Aliso Viejo/Mission Viejo southward.
TYIA! May it be the Angels in the WS next year!
What is your favorite brunch spot in SOUTH Orange County?
I’m looking for fun entertaining Halloween & fall themed stuff to do…bonus if it’s something spooky. I know it’s almost Halloween but I only work twice this week and have the weekend off so I’m trying to get in all the fun Halloween/October stuff this week.
Does anybody have any suggestions of any fun things to do that is Halloween and/or fall themed here in Orange County?
I do enjoy getting scared…that’s why I asked if there’s anything similar to LA Haunted Hayride other than Knotts Scary Farm. Thank you! :)
Flew in on Thursday and have a flight to leave on Sunday. Thursday morning I lost my wallet on the bus, so I filled out a lost property form with OCTA and just got an email reply yesterday afternoon saying they found it. Unfortunately, I didn't see the email until after 4:00 when they closed and my understanding is they're closed all weekend. When calling, you just immediately get the not business hours voice message.
Is there anything I could do to get that wallet from them before I fly out on Sunday?
Just wondering if you guys know any good breakfast burrito spots with a drive thru? Thank you!
Anyone know of a place in OC that I could take my 4.5 year old to ride some dirt hills on his bike??
Looking for roommate(s)
Hi! I’m a 35yo woman looking to move back to OC after temporarily leaving. My old living arrangement was backfilled so I would like to find another person to share space with.
I come with the worlds sweetest pup, she’s 4yo, potty trained, and will snuggle with basically anyone.
I’m employed full time and work a hybrid schedule but will likely go in every day. I love yoga, the beach, running, anime, and traveling.
I have no preference between men or women roommates; I’ve lived with both successfully.
If you’re looking for a roomie with positive vibes and a cute dog, my DMs are open.
You can use Today 10-26-24. Also, you can order for the future. Use code DODGERSWIN. Enjoy, happy weekend OC.
Hi all! Looking for wedding venue recommendations in the OC/SD/LA/SB area. We are looking for something cute, maybe with an italian feel like a winery? Or any other estates? Or honestly anything cute, even a beach wedding! Please comment venues so we can get some fresh ideas! Budget is 30-50k thank you!!!!!
I’m curious as to if Honeymee makes their own dairy mix for their soft serve or if they just buy it from a dairy farm and they make it for them? It’s really good so I’m curious how it is made
Anyone know of any good kid events going on this weekend? Looking to take my kids in their costumes for some trick or treating since we won't be able to on actual halloween. Appreciate the help!!
I have a service call for them to turn my gas back on after inspecting repairs from a leak. I called hours ago and the operator said even it is after 8, the technician will still come. It is 10:15. The website is down so I can not check the status of the call. There is no after hours number and the chatbot is completely useless. I'm so frustrated. I am tempted to call the emergency number....anyone have any tips? if I go to sleep or do not hear them knock and they say they came in the middle of the night I am going to lose my shit. And I can not be here all day tomorrow waiting to start this all again.
Anyone else impressed with how ON CUE the fireworks started going off as soon as the dodgers hit the grand slam? 😂
The prices are absolutely insane. They make me feel like I'm in a mother's market or whole foods. But if you were to rank the actual quality of their whole foods it's purely mid tier in the same category as Ralph's, Albertsons, etc. Their meat has a good reputation for some reason but IMO it's unearned because most of it isn't grass-fed and finished, pasture raised, organic, etc.
Some of the things I've bought there are literally 2-3x the prices of everywhere else.
So how are they staying in business? Could it be some sophisticated money laundering/mob type operation? Or are there really enough boomers still around to keep them in business?
