Hello all. As title, I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for alternative titles to TPC i.e. tycoon-style set in a campus. This sounds odd but I'm just not really a fan of 'fantasy' games (even for non-tycoon ones). Saw the trailer and gameplay of TPC and it just felt a little too fantasy for me.
Any suggestions appreciated, thanks in advance!
Would love to know if there is any good mafia management games out there. Thanks :)
I would really like some kind of game where you manage a adventuring party or a guild of some kind. I don't really want to run the adventures like it guild of Dungeoneering or anything just manage the people and stuff if that makes sense. Any suggestions?
I really wanted to know if there where any
I'm a huge fan of the concept of tycoon games with business management and facing competitors and figuring out how to tweak your business variables until you can turn a profit and reproduce and scale bigger and bigger
Ive played various things like Game Dev Tycoon, Software Inc, Capitalism Labs
Also played older games that I love like Airline Tycoon 1/2
What I've come to realize is I love complex games but games where it feels like I need to micro manage everything and it slows down progress on macro scale drain my mental energy fast to the point I don't want to come back (e.g. software inc, capitalism lab once I start getting dozens of products going etc)
I've really come to enjoy things like Airline Tycoon where I can set up a route with a plane that I buy and just have it repeat the flight plans on its own so once I locked in a business for a route I can just watch the progress over a few days and then focus on expanding and let go of the details a bit. Was jamming out in airline tycoon 2 til I hitt he limit for airplanes I can own and realized there was no real competition so it was getting repetitive
Not sure whether there are any other games similar nature you'd recommend, I've seen a million recs from folks but worried I'll again get overwhelmed with micro planning and end up stuck in another game I play 30-40 hours til I burn out from too much micro.
So I couldn't help but get LBW on the Switch when it went on sale. But I am stuck on the first screen. It has an overlay telling the user how to move the camera around, but it won't go away and move past that. I have tried every button on the controller and nothing. How do I get past this and into the tutorial?
I've spent a lot of time playing railroad and factory games - lots of optimising routes and supply chains - but I fancy a more diverse challenge...
Thing is - I cannot be bothered with games which require careful lay-out of cities or buildings - paying attention to the placement of sewers or power lines or litter bins or lockers - I just can't be bothered with that.
I tried City Bus recently - the 'real world' map aspect seems interesting (a bit like Nimby Rails which is quite good) but most of that game seems to be faffing around building a dept/positioning items/fiddling around in menus and very little of it relates to running actual bus routes...
Project Hospital was fun - prefabs make building easier so you can get into the mechanics of the thing - I had quite a bit of fun with that tbh
What I'm wondering is - are there any Tycoon/Business/City-Builder games where you're given something which is already made and you have to fix/optimise/rearrange it??
A game where the machine has been made and runs itself but which could be smarter - basically - rather than an empty space and the need to unlock all the things which will fill it up.
Sim City used-to-have scenarios like that IIRC but modern city builders don't seem to bother and most other games I've seen start-out with finding places for houses/desks etc. etc.
TIA
This post is for Game Devs to post their game announcements and updates!
In light of Sky Haven's implosion (the game is essentially dead), has anyone seen this upcoming airport management game called "Terminal One"?
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3197060/Terminal_One/
Looks to be highly similar to Sky Haven in terms of graphics and game play but is still early in development with the goal of launching by 2025. The developer has a track record of previous successful game launches but interestingly enough, none of his previous titles were anything remotely similar to Terminal One. Wonder what prompted him to make such a radical shift?
Regardless, it looks promising and I would like to spread the word to help its success if that's ok. Its not often we see airport management games with full 3D graphics. Could be an even better alternative to Sky Haven and the antiquated Airport Tycoon franchise from the 2000s. Thoughts?
I like playing those games, as if your actually creating a phone and it's fun, really fun
All these games always look mad interesting to me & I love stuff like RCT, Planet Coaster 1, Theme Hospital, Two Point, etc. But never given one of the dinosaur themed games a chance. Is there hidden evils in this one once you get further in or is it a good game all around?
I have always played Tycoon games on PC but recently discovered some good tycoon games on mobile (football chairman, endless studio etc) I’m wondering if there are any recommendations, there’s probably an entire catalog I’m not aware of.
Been playing tcg card shop simulator and super market simulator but tbh they get stressful trying to keep up with stock inventory and customers haha.
I did find something like car mechanic simulator really chill just taking apart car parts and putting it back together again was fun.
What about games you do deliveries I've also played roller coaster tycoon, parketict
Hello all, I was hoping to see if anyone had any recommendations for any fantasy themed tycoon games? Any favorites with that theme?
Any good tycoons out there ?
Anything like supermarket simulator?
I also played tcg card shop simulator and roller coaster tycoon and parketict
Been enjoying car mechanic simulator, supermarket simulator and gas station simulator
I am watching a vid about start of Dallas and rapid growth of the city etc. Are there any builders where you can make historic stuff like this, no fight just plain economy/city planning for lets say 18-19 century cities?
The reviews for the game have been pretty mixed from what I have read but I am enjoying it and I like using the creator to try and come up with my own creations, it's pretty fun, I created two pizzas that are selling pretty well a cheese one and a meat one but I am trying to come up with the best vegetarian pizza. I like trying to figure out the best ways to use the crew that I hire to make money and am thinking about expanding so my business can do delivery. I don't have any experience with the previous games, I hadn't even heard of them till a few months ago when I was looking for a pizza tycoon game to see if it had been done.
I'm relatively new to the genre and I'm wondering what is the easiest to learn/best to get into for a newbie. I've been using modded Rimworld to simulate some sort of economy sim but it just doesn't seem to scratch the itch I'm looking to scratch. Any good recommendations?
Just curious what games have your eye for this upcoming sale.
What are your currently playing?
Its not a tycoon but I can't put down TCG card shop sim atm lol
Does a game exist in which you have the decision to hire fire a coach and manage Sponsore ships and do things a Sportingdirektor does? I'm familiar with the football manager.
Back when it was released, there was a vibrant community of filmmakers creating and posting their works. These were still early days for machinima films, and The Movies really opened the doors for so many creators. Now, all these years later, I wonder how many of those projects are lost media, and whether or not any archive or repository of those films exists anywhere. I'm working on a book revolving around Lovecraftian short films and there were a number of Lovecraft projects brought to life there by folks such as Biggstrek, Simon Larner, Boomwolf, and others. So, is there anyplace where the old content is still available?
