Hi everyone,
I'm having trouble launching Anno 1800 on Windows 11. Here’s the situation:
Does anyone know if Anno 1800 requires any additional software or steps to run on a freshly installed system? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
I've seen countless sources that console can download mods in Anno 1800. But I don't see it. Can someone help me please?
So I just got the time for anno, and I want a full campaign play through, but since I left off, I see there are a lot of DLCs. I played the base game. What would you guys sugest to add for a 1st play through so that it will not get overwhelming? I understand that the one with Cape Trelawney can be skiped, as it doesn’t bring much. Thanks for the help!
Edit: I did buy everything:)
I swear to whatever god the elders belive in, I hate these things so fucking much. Everytime I send out for a rescue mission in hopes of finding some legendary specialists, I get these things. My men go through hell on the high seas for search and resuce operations, to bring home the brave sailors lost or what remains of them, but insted what they bring back is this piece of shit. I unironically have 27 of them lying around in my harbour. Why is this? Why am I cursed with this? Is it a bug? Does the game just hate me? Did anybody else make this experiance or am I alone?
Is there a DLC or season pass that's recommended? I want to get something while they're on sale but I don't know which of the many DLCs will actually add more and exciting gameplay. What DLC do you guys enjoy?
Last post of the day. A small island that satisfies the needs of the 1%. Crown Falls in the background providing for all the needs of this tiny paradise.
I'm not a huge mobile gamer, but I do like to have something to pass the time. And there used to be an Anno mobile game, but no more.
As an Anno player, what are some of your favorite mobile games to play?
After 370 hours, there is still room for improving, and i would apreciate your advice on how to do that. Good luck to your city !
Anno 1601 and anno 1503 were one of my first games on pc, after that i bought anno 1404 and decane after that anno 1800. I played pirated anno 2070 when Deep Ocen dlc was released I pirated(2nd world country and 1st world prices) it and enjoed the game. Now that it is on sale on steam Im thinking about buying the Complete edition but, the revievs on steam are contradicting each other that it can't launch because of Ubi etc..
Is it working well or it's better to buy something else during the steam sale?
Hello guys, I have been on enbesa for a while now and i just finished the Kidusi and Waha storylines. My rise of emporer ketema quest has stopped all of a sudden and I can not unlock the research institute without going further into that quest. if anyone has any idea on how to get the main quest line going again that would be sweet. Thanks.
Anyone concered about how "empty" anno117 might be on launch?
i first got into anno1800 when all major dlc's were out.
and i just played a 20h session, with no dlc enabled, and it felt so empty compared to with all dlc's on. (duh)
my concern is, are people gonna be overhyped - then get into the game, only to learn the real potential of the game is 3-5y away?
Hello,
like the title states, I am asking myself whether or not productivity items also increase the ressource consumption in their production chain.
The rationale being that, in order for production buildings to output more stuff per time unit, they have to use more materials in that time frame.
Since the whole production chain isn't affected by the items, things like farms retain their base productivity, meaning that you would need more farms to uphold the balance.
I hope that I could make myself clear as to how I got to this thought.
Am I mistaken?
I used to play Anno for Nintendo DS a lot ...
I have plenty of xp in Anno1404 ( original version ) but there is one thing that seems to elude me.
Now for a certain achievement you need to complete whole campaign on Hard, alongside all sidequests.
On last mission, Pillars of Justice, you have a repeating quest called "Spies sighted" where you need to find Luciuses spies around your cathedral.
Now, quests pop up and i find progresivelly more spies, that is until I find 8 of them. Now there is suppose to be one more quest that pops up to find 10 spies, but that quests doesnt pop up. Ive reloaded , ive played it like 5-6 times from scratch, but whatever i do that last quest doesnt show.
That is THE ONLY thing that keeps me from gettin the achievement, but im stuck. Does anyone know is there something i need to do, or is it a bug and Ill never accomplish it*?
Thank you.
Is it just me or are even numbered buildings just the worst?
I kind of have OCD and when you have buildings that are 4x4 or something like that I get the ick real fast.
The worst part is for example the worlds fair or the palace, I find it really hard to incorporate those buildings to my town.
Anyone else that feels the same?
Hello
I have a quick question that might sound a bit silly. I've been playing a lot of Paradox games recently, and Anno keeps getting recommended to me. It looks really interesting, especially the production mechanics. I enjoy games where I can pause, take my time to click around, maybe watch a YouTube video in the background, and just relax at my own pace. However, I read somewhere that Anno doesn't have a pause function to click around while playing. Is that true? Does the game feel stressful, or can it still be a chill experience? I've always been interested in a city-builder and Anno seems pretty cool.
Thanks and happy holidays everyone

Finally, have a look at the Community Resource Megathread!
One of my biggest disappointments with Anno 1800 was that I could blockade the ai islands to cut them off from resources. I really hope they change this for 117
I hope we meet the emperor in 117, I hope he's hot and a bad boy, and I hope he has a personal twink.
