I need to do one row with the slopes for the shoulder part. I would do this with normal crochet by stitching 1 sl st, 1 sc, 1 half, 1 dc, 1 tr and i get a slope. How can I do this with tunisian full st? Or any tunisian st? Is there such a thing as shorter and longer stitches that I could use to make that slope part? Or would this be done in a completely different way? Any help is much appreciated.

My bestie started this project some time ago and had asked me to finish it for her. I’ve had it longer than I’d like and I really want to finish it for her by Christmas. Maybe sooner. I’ve done probably the last 5/6 inches However, I am struggling to find a comfortable way to hold the hook and get into a flow. I’m wondering if anyone has any tips on what I can do to make this easier? I do a couple of rows and my hands start to scream. And I still have 4 balls of yarn to go. I would appreciate any advice!! Thank you!! 🙏🏻
I changed my hook from 6mm to 5.5 mm on about row 12. Does it look bad? I was using a cheap hook at the beginning and the metal cord just drew me crazy, so I wanted to continue with knitpro symphonie hook, and attach a short cable. It curls, but after some more rows it gets better, hopefully. The pattern originally suggests using a 6.5 mm but even with a 6mm my gauge was slighy bigger than it was mentioned. So, the question is that, does it look so visible? Should I go back to 6mm before it's too late? (I am trying to make an elf coat by morale fibres.) Thanks.
So I've been wanting to get into tunisian crochet. I've bought the hooks and I even have a book with different types of stitches! But I'm having trouble finding videos to help me learn how to actually tunisian crochet fully. Like how to hold the handle or how to keep the sides of it straight (because for some odd reason everytime I don't the sides are uneven??) I wish there were also more videos on making clothes with it maybe? If anyone has any tips or videos you think might help. I would appreciate it!
Hello, I'm new to Tunisian crochet and I was wondering what is the best way to stop your project from curling. I'm following the pattern from this site: https://www.purlsoho.com/create/2015/10/13/tunisian-crochet-scarf/ I am using the biggest hook I have (8mm).
Psyduck is about 16"x16" done in Tunisian knit stitch. Psyyyyyyyyyy!
Hi, I’m in the very fun research/shopping phase of looking at tunisian crochet sets. I’ve been looking at the KnitPro Gingers or the Lykkes but have seen a few comments where some of the marking have worn down after a year. For anyone who’s owned this or any other set, how have they held up over a year+ or months of heavy use? Have there been functional/snagging problems or mostly cosmetic?
My first Tunisian crochet project any comments for improvement would be nice
I found a video teaching how to make a vintage Sontag, using Tunisian Simple Stitch. It reminds me a lot of the American Duchess Cape. I've always wanted to make one out of crochet/Tunisian Crochet.
What is your favorite resources about shaping, design elements, and stitch patterns?
Specifically, I'm looking for tips/tricks for lining a project with fabric, how to make a shawl/foldover collar, and adjusting wearable patterns for fit.
Any other tips/tricks/suggestions are welcome.
I'd consider myself an advanced beginner/intermediate crocheter.
Hello, I was wondering if anyone found a pattern, or had one for clothing for an Italian Greyhound?

Hey folks! I’m trying to find a Tunisian set.
Is there any such thing? I can only find colored hooks in aluminum. I’ve heard that bamboo is better for hand fatigue.
I live in Europe so these are the shops I use most.
https://www.lastijerasmagicas.com/en/
Orders of €50 (~$55) or more from outside the EU will cost me customs as well as VAT, which ends up being about 50% of the order price. This is why I try to stick to shops based in the EU.
I can also order from Etsy as long as the shop is located in Europe.
Thanks for any help!
I thought I was being careful. I didn’t think I was dropping stitches but the slant proves otherwise. Can I fix it without undoing or do I need to frog

I’m a relative beginner and attempting a hat that’s based on Toni Lipsey’s Elm slouch hat pattern, but I’m using lattice stitch for the body of the hat. It looks pretty good so far, but I’m trying to figure out how to make the decreases work so it’s not going to throw off the diagonal lattice stitches. The elm hat has you spread 10 individual decrease stitches over the length, but I’m thinking that will interrupt the lattice. is there a better way to do it? Should I just switch to a different stitch for the crown of the hat?
Photo is from this morning when the turnpike was stopped for 40 min because of an accident and I got to have some extra crochet time.
I was at a local yarn store look for a project and they happened to have a 7mm Lykke hook so I pounced on it. I asked the owner what her experience was with the hooks and if they snag and she said no. However I've tried it with a couple different weights of acrylic yarn and it's holding on for dear life. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong with my wooden hooks or what. I typically never use any type of plant based hooks because they snage terribly. I've seen that you can sand down hooks to make them better but these are so expensive I'm afraid I'm not supposed to. My usual hooks are the Denise interchangeables but I've been looking to upgrade to a brand with normal sized larger hooks.
Is there anything I can do to make wood/bambo hooks useable??
Using some scrap yarn to save a little $$ on Halloween costumes! Smock it to me beanie is the pattern base for the hat, freehanded the rest.
