Free pattern on Ravelry. My first overlay( called solid in pattern) in the round and I loved not dealing with ends. I found the charts confusing so loaded the written instructions into Knit Companion and used that. There is a YouTube video for the 2 starting rounds.

Purchased pattern from Etsy. Really love the purple and grey together. I was just trying to use up my stash but in the end bought two cakes of Caron Grape.
Is it possible to do this as mosaic or am I stuck doing it tapestry and hating how it looks?
Some of the blanket is based off the design I saw- some is original.
Pattern by CarolAnnCreates. Milk Cotton Worsted weight yarn and 5mm hook. Overlay mosaic.
The Nordic Star Blanket CAL is a paid 13-week crochetalong designed by me!
It uses overlay mosaic crochet.
I also give you access the full pattern if preferred.
Section 1 was released this week. We crochet about 20 rows per week, so you'll catch up in no time!
I love how mosaic crochet looks but I hate ends. Is there any reason I’m missing as to why I couldn’t crochet back and forth and just reverse the directions on reverse? Back loops instead of front loops, etc?
Not new to crocheting, but new to mosaic. What are the differences in the two techniques? Which do you prefer? Also, which is more reversible in appearance, and/or more squishy? I have some afghan patterns saved that I want to try. (I do plan to try each technique for myself, too, but I thought I'd crowdsource some input as I get warmed up)
YouTube links, or tutorials or tips to know ahead of time are also welcome 😊
I thought you guys might appreciate this ☺️
I’ve seen a couple of people selling excel / Google sheets templates that will help you design mosaic crochet charts. Has anybody tried one out? What do you think? I was thinking about getting one myself.
Hello everyone! I am new to mosaic crochet and look forward to learning from you all! I just read the post about the negative stitch. I assumed the patterns were automatically reversible. I guess it's a good thing I'm here lol.
I’m new to the mosaic crochet technique and was wondering if this chart could be made into a mosaic crochet pattern or is it too many colors? Any advice would be appreciated!!!
