TPT: Tunisia Positivity Thread

Since all the news has been depressing lately, please share something positive that happened to you recently—even if it’s just that your coffee was good this morning. Sinon , just share a picture of your cat; I love seeing those little demons (or any other pet).

Arabic and islam teacher in Tunis

Assalamu aleikum.

Does anyone know how to find a good Arabic and islam teacher in the capital Tunis? I speak Arabic (egyptian dialect) on maybe B2-C1 level. If there is a private teacher you know then please help me. I was offered private teacher by a language learning institution, but it was 27 euros/hour. I want someone for cheaper if there are any.

Jazakumullahu khairan.

My advice to the younglings : Leave asap.

Sammi besmellah, and leave the country asap.
It's not about money, never was, i myself make good money here, it's about life quality, purchase power, ditatorshp, negative growth rate, high corruption, crippling bureaucracy, uneducated low-iq officials having all power over you, pro-ks populace (which makes the majority of Tunisians sadly), the threat of being sentenced to prison at any moment (people getting years for a silly fb comment, if they ever find Reddit, we're all fucked).
My mistake was, not leaving when i was a bit younger.
I regret that everyday, but hmdlh I'm in the process of leaving, mieux tard que jamais.
Whether it's Germany, France, Canada, Italy, gulf countries, or even Brazil or Argentina...
Leave asap, money shouldn't be your main focus, and if necessary, you can even change careers if your specialty isn't in demand.

Studying abroad and living there

Hello brothers and sisters I am a 24-year-old male with a baccalaureate degree in mathematics (with an average score of 12). I aspire to pursue further studies or professional training in a Scandinavian country, such as Denmark, Sweden, or Norway. My priority is based on the country where I have the highest chance of obtaining a visa. I hold a C1 level in English. Notice: money is not problem , im average tunisian in finances but i will do my best collecting the money needed

I would appreciate any recommendations regarding plans, agencies, educational programs, or any tips that could guide me. Honestly, I feel lost and eager to build a successful future. Any information, even small, would be greatly appreciated.

Again I'm getting more and more certain that KS is the real متٱمر and خائن

Literally destroyed the tunisian companies that made a brand name for us, proceeded to destroy the farmers and now he's giving our precious oil to the Italians so they can put it in bottles and sell it x10 times the prices. I don't get how KS is not a traitor at this point .

Expats in Tunisia, what’s life really like?

Hey everyone, I’m curious about life as an expat in Tunisia. What’s it like living here? What do you love about it, and what drives you crazy?

How’s the cost of living, the people, the food, and just day-to-day life? Is it easy to meet people and make friends, or does it feel isolating sometimes?

I’d love to hear your honest thoughts

Petition to save one of the most beautiful beaches in Tunisia

The beautiful beach, "Lella Hadhria" in Djerba, is in danger of destruction due to the planning of a huge concrete tourist complex. This rare and accessible natural site is a precious heritage for the local community and me. But unfortunately, instead of being preserved, it faces a concrete threat of denaturation.

https://preview.redd.it/x73k40fhni4e1.png?width=800&format=png&auto=webp&s=fe8015151854402272003ddbc3f717c8d6aa7070

It is estimated that about 60% of the beaches in the world are threatened by urbanization and large-scale construction (source: United Nations Environment Programme). If we allow this project to continue, the beautiful beach in Djerba will not be spared from this sad reality. Thus, we must do everything in our power to protect these natural sites for future generations.

Preventing the construction of this tourist complex is not only a matter of preserving the natural beauty, but it is also essential to safeguard the ecological balance of this region and to end the exclusion of the local population.

We need your help to save our beach. Our local, regional and national authorities must be informed of our opposition to this destructive project. Please sign this petition and make your voice heard against the destruction of the beautiful beach of "Lella Hadhria". https://chng.it/4xcXhywN87

Is Instagram a must today

I hate Instagram ( not as much as LinkedIn ofc ) but I always get from my friends that I'm still single because I don't have an Instagram account and that a Facebook profile isn't enough to meet someone, so do guys usually approach girls in Instagram as opposed to Facebook? I'm not really convinced but I want to know the general consensus to know if it's worth it

English-speaking jobs in Tunisia

Hi all,

I hear there are a lot of expats in Tunisia. I was interested in English-speaking jobs in Tunisia, but wasn't sure what the job market is like in Tunisia and the prospects of getting jobs, or where English-speaking jobs in Tunisia would be advertised (if any).

I am learning Tunsi and re-learning French too, but realistically wouldn't be proficient enough yet.

(For my specific context, I have a background in digital and organizational change/transformation with a clinical healthcare background).

Learning Tūnsi from English

Hi all,

I am doing Tunsi language classes but wanted to learn a few phrases outside of the regular classroom, and also wanted to see what "equivalent" Tunsi phrases exist for some typical English phrases.

Also, does anyone have recommendations for either language audiobooks or self-guided apps or references to continue growing and learning Tunsi from English? Aycheck Barsha in advance :)

Phrase examples wanting to learn:
- Goodnight and sweet dreams
- I hope you have a great day today
- I hope you have a great day <at work> today
- Did you enjoy your meal?
- Have a great time with your friends
- Have a great time with your family
- I hope you had a good rest and good sleep

How to look for "stage d’initiation "

I am a first-year student in telecommunications, and I have an obligatory stage d’initiation. I have sent emails to several companies in this field, but I haven’t received any responses. I even visited one company in person, but they asked me to apply via email, which I had already done and got no response. How can I find an internship? (I am not looking for an internship at Tunisie Telecom)
