If anyone still have any hope in the current regime please read this

Context: some old politicians before 25 July are in prison for 14 months without charges (which is the maximum period without any concrete evidence) and now they came up with this charges.

Is French still taught more than English in schools ? Est-ce que l'enseignement du Français a toujours priorité sur l'Anglais à l'école ?

As far as I understand, French still has priority over English in school and most areas in life, including government and administration, is this correct ? Are most Tunisians fine with that ?

I read that Algeria plans to replace French with English, but for Tunisia and Morocco, it seems to be different. By the way, this is a genuine question. I'm Swiss and French is my native language, but I totally agree that English is way more useful nowadays so I was really surprised to learn that French has still more priority over English

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Vacation rental website

Hello. My husband and I will be traveling to Tunisia in July. I was curious if there is a vacation rental website you would recommend? I have looked at Airbnb and it has some good options but I like to directly support locals whenever possible. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Why Do Morocco and Algeria Seem to Overlook Tunisia, Especially in Cultural Representations Like Rai Music?

Hello r/Tunisia community,

I’ve noticed something intriguing about the Rai music scene, particularly among Algerian artists. While there’s a noticeable focus on Morocco in their songs and collaborations, Tunisia rarely gets mentioned, even though we share many cultural similarities with both countries. This seems a bit odd, especially considering the ongoing social media spats between Morocco and Algeria, where you’d expect them to avoid mentioning each other rather than a neutral party like Tunisia.

Does anyone have insights or thoughts on why Tunisia might be less featured or mentioned in this context? Is there a specific historical or cultural reason behind this, or could it simply be a matter of market dynamics and popularity?

Looking forward to your thoughts!

Update about my situation with my mom

After a fight between mom and dad last night they took a decision: *Mom leaves the house *Dad gives her money every month bc she built the house. Note: I feel sorry for my mother even though it is for my own good. The problems will eventually end, but... I feel sorry for my mother even though it is for my own good. The problems will eventually end, however My mother is waiting for me to be on her side, be compassionate to her, and forget the quarrels between her until she solves her problems with my father. It was unfair , but I have no choice but to accept what she says. I really don't know what to do + I live with my dad and my sister and I'm happy without her.

Internship

Hello everybody, I am a student who wants to do an internship in Tunisia this summer, but I’ve been told that it will be a bit difficult because the internship and my master’s thesis has to be linked. The system I come from doesn’t require any internship to be made with the thesis. Is it difficult to find an internship without a « accord de stage » ? I just want an internship to boost my employability. Thank you
