This subreddit is intended to connect pattern designers and testers.
Pattern designers can feel free to offer whatever they'd like in exchange for feedback on their projects as long as they follow Reddit's rules (https://www.redditinc.com/policies/content-policy)
Testing guidelines for pattern designers and testers:
*Designers will post a request for testers (feel free to post outside links for testers to follow to apply) including a photo or the finished project and deadline at the minimum (see guidelines at the bottom).
*Testers will reply to the call for testers using whatever method the Designer requests
*Designers should, but are not required to, update their original post calling for testers when they have enough people.
*Testers are encouraged to post questions, progress photos, and provide support to each other. By posting photos you agree to allow the Pattern Designer to use them in their final pattern, website, or promotional materials.
*Testers will provide feedback to designers for their use in the final Pattern.
*Designers MAY post the final version of their pattern (or links to where they can be purchased) if they choose, but are not required to. Please tag all testers in your post.
*Testers and Designers should keep in contact with each other. If a tester is unable to complete a pattern test on time, a designer may send an invoice for the cost of the pattern if they choose.
*Most importantly: Let's have fun!

Hi! I'm looking for sample cross stitchers who would like to cross stitch any one of these patterns in the collage below.
This is a cross stitch project. The type of stitches are full stitches only. Beginner friendly. Patterns are on 14 count Aida, but could stitched on 16 or 18 count as well.
Deadline: 2-6 weeks per piece (but am flexible on time).
Tester requirements: 1-3 well lit images I could use for the listing photo please :)
Pattern Info: All patterns are 3" x 3". 1,764 stitches.
Number of testers: 1-18
Requirements: DMC Color Floss
I can send a PDF (color/ B&W) or JPG of the pattern (or all of the above).
Looking for feedback on the DMC colors used in the pattern. I need honest opinions if a color isn't working (too dark/light/strays too far from the album image). If pattern colors are too similar, don't have enough contrast, etc.

tl;dr: Please take a look at these two patterns for interlocking filet crochet motifs (PDF, no registration required): https://interlockingpatches.com/free
What do you think? (first impressions, specific suggestions, anything! I've been working on these alone for months!)

Hi there. I hope this doesnāt stray too far from the subās focus/format!
Iām a self-taught crocheter/designer, and Iāve come up with a pattern/notation system for interlocking filet crochet that Iām quite proud of, and which I use all the time, but which hasnāt been tested by many people yet. (Interlocking crochet doesnāt seem to be a well-known technique, and my sense is that there is no one āstandardā way of writing patterns for it, but if Iām wrong about that, please let me know!)
My āinnovationā is (afaik; Iām presumably not the first) to include an illustration/chart for every row, rather than having makers rely on a single overview diagram and written notation. I think this makes complex, asymmetrical, and non-repeating patterns *much* easier to follow, and it hopefully makes up for the custom (and intentionally very sparse) notation.
Could you tell me, in the kindest terms you can muster (this is kind of a get-out-of-depression project, a personal Cones of Dunshire), what you think of the patterns? Do they make sense? What have I left out? What should I leave out? Are there obvious, better and/or more established ways of doing things that have missed me utterly?
