I’ve been looking for a Bernat Blanket in some shade of brown and they seem to maybe be discontinued? I believe Taupe is but I can’t find any solid brown anywhere. Does anyone know of a specific Bernat blanket in a darker than sand brown that’s still easily accessible?
I've gotten used to using cotton yarn for the toys. I ordered a carry-bag so I can crochet on the city bus. The order came with several, quite soft mini-skeins.
No indication what type of yarn they are, no hook or weight info. Just a decorated piece of paper wrapped around each skein. I know they aren't cotton: they're too stretchy, too slick, and pilling even while I'm working with it. Splits are already a nuisance, but this yarn gives it a seriously bad name.
What the heck am I working with?
this only took me 1.5hours which I’m proud of considering it’s a pretty big plushie
Hello all, has anyone ever made this version of a worry worm? It looks like it starts with a magic ring but I can’t figure out a crochet stitch that produces such an evenly spaced twist effect on the edge. I’ve tried bullion, twisted sc stitch, crab stitch and the twisted sc edging.
Any other suggestions you guys can think of to try? TIA!
I am starting to recognize the difference between well made hooks and poorly made hooks that are not polished very well. I am returning to crocheting after a hiatus for 30 years and hooks have changed a bit. If anyone can suggest good quality hooks I would be grateful.
Everyone I have shown this to loves him, so I hope you love him too ❤️
Knitter / occasional crocheter here. I love the idea of making all these little toys, but my question is about yarn. Where are you buying all the different colored yarns? What kind of yarn?
These look so great but I feel like making one little guy requires 5 different specific colors and it would just cost a fortune to continually buy even relatively cheap yarn for each project until you eventually end up with a whole rainbow.
