I'm a beginner, and I finished the base. I'm at the part of adding the ruffle. I've never added a structure to a finished piece in a different color, and I wasn't sure how to start it/attach it. I also wasn't sure what this was even called to look up a tutorial 😅 I basically just need to visually see how to attach the chain and then stitch from there

Hello! I have made a previous post inquiring about a doll for my girlfriend and I just wanted some advice from some people who may be better than me I want to make the doll based around me with the clothes and hair ofc, but I also wanted to add a zipper/button/adjustable opening so I could put little recorded sounds in it. Suffice to say it's quite hard to find a pattern that accommodates for a lot of this and I'm not too comfortable going at it by myself but I'm willing to try. Any advice/general patterns I could look at for a good start?
