After the Bye we get the Texans again, but then have a stretch of games that are definitely winnable:
Titans
Jets
Raiders
Titans
Colts
There is absolutely a world where we end the season on a winning streak and Shad keeps an Interim. Whereas if Doug is still around, he's responsible for the whole season and still gets canned regardless.
Hey Jags fans!
I am a co host of a Detroit Lions podcast. We usually schedule an interview with a jaguars beat writer or podcaster for game week, but we were not able to get anything scheduled ahead of time.
I still wanted to get some input from our opponent this week, so I’m going to the fans.
Overall- how do you feel about the matchup this week?!?
Initially, did you think Travon Walker was the right choice over Aidan Hutchinson in the draft?!! And how do you feel about Travon now?!
6 of your 8 losses have been by one possession. Is this team still going to compete or are you already looking towards next year?!
How many games does Doug Pederson need to win to still be the head coach next year?
What player or players are going to be the keys to a Jacksonville upset?!?
Any other thoughts on the game or about the Lions in general are appreciated.
We will try to shout out some people on the podcast if you comment on here!
Thanks guys!!
Mac ain't beating the Lions and 9 losses means no chance of playoffs.
Shad needs to clean house. Entirely.
Hire Saleh, Belichick or Ben Johnson.
If none want the job just pick up McCarthy after Cowboys fire him. Its better than nothing I guess. Dak had some good years with him.
If all else fails go after Boselli and give him full control of the franchise. ftw.
So you're telling me with ~70 mil cap space and the 1st OVR pick our secondary could be:
CB Travis Hunter - CB Tyson Campbell - NCB Jarrian Jones - SAF Jevon Holland - SAF Xavier Watts (rookie out of ND)
Use it for whatever
The show didn't air on Monday as usual. I thought it was weird because I didn't remember JP saying anything about not being around in last week's show, so I went back and watched the end and he actually said "see you next week".
Did I miss something? Does the Jaguars IT department suck at their jobs as much as the players and coaches? Or was Pete dropping too many hints about Tony as EVP, hiring Ben Johnson, etc that Shad got pissed and pulled the plug on the whole operation?
This show is honestly the sports highlight of the week for me and much more fun and entertaining than watching the Jags try to play football. Just trying to figure out why I can't find it or any information on the internet.
I went to the Jags game on Sunday, and just received this survey link in my email: https://airtable.com/appfDDCXRGQUoOxN0/pagi0KoOgyhdY9nVY/form?prefill_event=24GM6MIN&hide_event=true
I only answered one question.
How could we improve your experience in the future? Fire Press Taylor
Seeing how dysfunctional that team is and how poorly Caleb is playing, it is stunning how competent we made their offense look. That may be worse than losing to Watson and the Browns.
Yet ANOTHER Offensive Coordinator (Bears OC) has been sacked before the jags have made any kind of decision to change leadership.
WHAT A JOKE! 🤡🤡🤡

Yea this sucks to see. Hopefully we get change and hopefully we get to see a Ben Johnson(future jaguar) master class on Sunday. Get your fridges stocked with beer…it’s gonna be a long Sunday.
I’ve always wondered this and wish I knew of a website that calculates a 1-100 grading scale that factors in their production and base that on their salary. Then you can see if they are under performing or over performing their contracts. Would be cool to see that compared to top paid players or that position.
The thought came from the 2025 personnel thread and it was a lot of shitting on the team. As much as Baalke is “insert any/every negative word”. He has been pretty smart at resigning rookies. Complete dogshit at signing free agents though.
Ezra Cleveland contract is pretty damn good. I remember a lot of people in the subreddit were saying we overpaid and stuff. But Baalke was smart to resign him before the guard position was reset, which the panthers did. For 8 mil a year he is pretty solid, that’s where the production/salary grading came from.
Same goes with campbell and Lawrence, baalke resigned them before the qb and cb salary was reset and their deals will look pretty good after it’s reset this off-season.
