My wife and I booked our flights for the 21st of may, although we’ve read that Seychelles is best visited during dry months, we don’t know what to expect during our two week stay.
Hey all. 👋🏼
My wife and I are looking to take a couple of months away from the UK and spend some time with the kids in the sun. We have a 5yr old and a 1year old (at time of leaving).
We are in the early planning stages, but initially thinking about a month in Mauritius and a month in the Seychelles.
We’ve done Mauritius before so have a little bit more info on that, but neither of us have been to the Seychelles.
Would you recommend a month here with kids? Has anyone done similar?
I’m trying to decide if we go somewhere else and stop here for shorter etc. Any insight is massively appreciated.
Thanks 🙏
Hi, any recommendations/ideas on where we can watch the Euros football games on Mahé this year? We are visiting in June and there are some games my partner is hoping to watch. I am part Seselwa but have no interest in football so have no clue! Thanks in advance :)
Hi! My boyfriend and I will travel to Seychelles soon (2 nights Mahe, 3 nights La Digue, 2 nights Mahe).
For Mahe, should we arrange the rental before we arrive or is it easy to get a rental when we are already there? It seems that Doffay is a good option
Thank you!
I’m planning a trip to Seychelles in October/November to celebrate my 40th birthday. Turtles and tortoises have always been a major part of my life, and I chose Seychelles as my trip destination so that I can meet some of them! I know that several of the islands have populations of free-roaming tortoises and I plan to visit those, but I was wondering which of the hotels/resorts have some of their own, so that I can have even more tortoise time! I’ve looked around online, but get mixed results as to which places have them. I haven’t committed to what island I’ll stay on yet, so I’m open to wherever! Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Hi there just wondering if anyone knows of any Seychelles restaurants in USA or Canada. Thanks.
Hi! I’m considering to leave the chilly weather in europe for a week in Seychelles before christmas. But I’ve read theres a lot of rain. Is there just as much sun? Is there stuff to do in Mahe Island in December for a solo traveler?
In summary, planning to stay in Mahe 3 nights at Hilton Northolme then 3 nights in Praslin at Paradise Sun. Afterwards we are doing 5 days at Marriott Masai Mara. For context, we are both 32, active, love wildlife, love great food, and want to spend most of the trip on/near water considering the safari is afterwards. Accepting any restaurant recs! Any tips and suggestions to the below itinerary are greatly appreciated.

Eat dinner at hotel or in Beau Vallon
Day 2: Wednesday, 10/23 - Mahe

Hike Morne Blanc Trail in morning
Lunch in Victoria at Selwyn-Clarke Market
Afternoon in Victoria, see a few landmarks there (Clock Tower, botanical garden)

Good afternoon all,
We are currently in Seychelles since 4 days, and, as a gourmet, it seems impossible to find good and fresh food everywhere we are going to.
We just landed to Praslin this afternoon after few days at La digue, what’s your recommendation in terms of restaurant and takeaways ?
Is there any hidden beaches on Praslin away from the mass tourism? We love finding empty beaches without any other tourists for that cast away feeling.
Looking at different beaches I thought Anse Matelot might be a good option as it can only be reached by boat. Any experiences with that beach? Is there other similar ones that are difficult to get to?
Lastly, is it possible to book a boat to drop us off at Anse Matelot or similar beaches in the morning and pick us up again late afternoon? How much would a trip like that cost?
Appreciate any advise.
I’ll be in La Digue and Praslin in September. Any recommendations on any areas to avoid due to seaweed then? And of course any other recommendations are welcome.
Hey everyone, my fiancee and I are planning our honeymoon to Seychelles in July and the rough itinerary looks like this.
We land in Mahe and then take a connecting flight to Praslin island
Day 1 - Day 3 -> Stay in Constance Lemuria. (Relax and chill. Hike to Anse Gorgette for sunset/sunrise. Are there any experiences in Constance Lemuria that we should not miss?)
Day 4 - Day 6 -> Stay in Anse Volbert village. (These are the days in which we'd actually explore Praslin)
Day 7 - Day 10 -> La Digue (We wanted to take La Digue slow. Live the slow life there and explore beaches, cycle around the entire island)
Day 11 - Day 14 -> Mahe
Both of us love hiking and we're really looking forward to that. Are there any offbeat hiking trails that we should be aware of apart from the usual ones like Morne Blanc trail and Capolia trail in Mahe, Nid d'Aigle and Anse Cocos beach in La Digue?
We are vegetarians. Do we get vegetarian food in Seychelles?
Do you recommend us converting some SCR or do credit cards work in most of the places?
Also, how do we get to the other smaller islands like the Silhoutte/Tortoise
Are there any other tips you'd recommend for first time travelers to this amazing country
Looking for car rental companies in Praslin. Papa Car Rentals have great reviews (4.9 for over 250 reviews). There are only 3 comments that do not have 5 stars, which feels too good to be true. Has anybody used Papa Car rental? Any recommendations? Thanks :)
Is there no veg burger or pizzas here? Sad to say I'm vegen.
Any swingers groups or fun along that line in Seychelles?
I have been forwarded this syndicate video that I think is making the rounds threatening the government and mainly the president. I am curious as they have mentioned gas attacks but haven't heard about any. Maybe I am living under a rock? Also just interested in your opinion on what they are aiming to achieve. Thanks
Does anyone know the best place to buy a new iphone that isn't dodgy in Victoria?
My wife and I are thinking about visiting the Seychelles in June. In 2022 we stayed at the Four Seasons on Desroches Island for 7 days and absolutely loved how secluded and idyllic it was. For our next trip we’d like to stay a bit longer (10-14 days) and for that duration Desroches would be pretty expensive so we’re looking for alternative hotels or resorts.
I’d be grateful for any recommendations. Ideally we’d be looking for sth that’s a bit cheaper than Desroches but still offers a secluded experience. At Desroches we usually had an entire beach completely to ourselves without any other tourists which was amazing. Is that possible anywhere else?
One option I was looking at is Denis Island, the other one would be Domaine de L’Orangeraie on La Digue. Any other ideas?
Are Denis island and La Digue very crowded or is it possible to find beaches where you can relax by yourself?
Appreciate any advise :)
Any online seychelles gamers ? Actually downloading Helldivers 2 , looking up to have a mate to play with 🌴
Is the weather on Mahe really as bad as the forecast says? It's raining all the time, is there any sun?
Hello,
I'm planning to visit Seychelles with my wife for the first time next year, so I'm researching flights to get the best possible deal. We intend to spend 10 days in Praslin and La Digue. Our plan is to fly from Paris via Dubai with Emirates, landing in Mahé at 7 am on a Sunday. What time should I book the Air Seychelles flight to Praslin? We will need to clear immigration (we are traveling on French passports so no visa is required), retrieve our luggage, exit arrivals, proceed to departures, check in our luggage with Air Seychelles, pass through security, and possibly immigration again. If we miss our flight, does Air Seychelles put you on the next available flight free of charge? Since these would be separate tickets from our international flight, I am sure they are not obligated to do so.
The same question applies when we return to Mahé. Our flight home departs at 23:50. What time should we depart from Praslin to allow enough time to repeat the process in reverse order?
Any jobs for ex pats, I'm currently working in Seychelles. My GOP is going to end in may but I like here, so I want to join a Seychelles owned company or shop.
HEY EVERYONE!
I AM LOOKING FOR LUXURY CAR RENTAL IN SEYCHELLES IF SOMEONE CAN HELP IT WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED 🫶🌸

Hi!
I'm planning to visit this beautiful country in August (9 - 17) and i can't decide if it a good idea... I read and watch videos about the weather in August and there are totally different opinions. Some say I shouldn't go in August and the other says it's a good time to visit... The apartment is near to Anse Soleil and gonna grab a rental car so i am mobile if this side of the island don't work out :) The main things we are looking for: swimming, snorkeling, just chill out and eventually hiking. I would like some from input from you who already were there in August/live there. Thanks!
Calling all critical thinkers and those with special interests!
I have made it a mission of mine to be in every reddit sub for every nation on the earth (or at least the ones in english).
I am trying to gauge interest in any who wish to bring their passion and knowledge in a category to join a groupchat (on the dinosaur of a platform known as Facebook).
What im looking for and why:
My whole life ive been interested in different countries and cultures and the idea of having an 18+ groupchat in which many nations have a bit of representation its a dream come true. Id love to have people who are educated and capable of deep discussion about various topics.
Criteria
Have a special interest in any field politics, philosphy, history, heck even those proficient in film music or theatre.
You can take a joke. Its a fairly on task group chat however id say the only stuff that is censored as far as words go is any words pertaining to race or explicitly sexual material.
You are respectful of different religions. The group chat is very commonly excercising various different belief standpoints and jokes as long as they are in good taste are perfectly acceptable
What to expect:
Debates: these can range in a variety of topics from politics to history to science. And they can border on "heated" but at the end we are all just trying to learn and any oversteps will result in bans after a warning if course
Varied religious backgrounds id say the group is about 65% Christian 35% atheist but everyone in there is comfortable with sharing details about their religion free of ridicule aside from the lighthearted jokes. We have also recently added some others majority of which are Muslim.
The group right now is majorly american but there has been a fair bit of canadians that have joined and left over the three years the groupchat has been around. We recently got some members Azerbaijan, Bahrain, and Germany
Right now we have experts in the following categories
Cryptocurrency TV Shows and Pop culture Philosophy American Law World History Military History Video Game History Meteorology
The group is probably like 45% autistics with special interests so we pride ourselves on knowing our craft.
Each month I post news articles from every nation's internet news source in alphabetical order usually a letter a day. And we monitor and disccus the conflicts happening abroad
The group is 100% male which wasnt even by design thats just how its gone so far but there isnt a gender requirement one way or the other.
The donts:
No excessive meme spam. I tend to allow discussions with GIFS but depending on how many join the chat, theres no need for excessive memes
No posting sexual or graphic material some mems walk the line but never cross it.
No racial slurs
The creator of the GC is the final authority on everything
The point of the GC is to engage and have fun. If somebody is going a month without at least reading the posts then you shouldnt have joined in the first place silly! Inactives are often removed after one month.
Lets educate eachother! The goal is to increase comradery and learm about eachother cultures.
As of right now im wanting natives to whatever nation I post this in (as I intend to copy and paste) and depending on traction Im going to try and invite either the first people who respond or the most educated.
If you want to leave a rude comment or something about how you have better things to do go ahead! This is reddit after all!
But at least for the sake of being entertaining lets avoid repeats so far ive heard
Incelfest
Sausagefest
Pretentious
Arrogant
Red pills
Sounds like Hell
Remember we are looking for people who want to make friends and debate ideas not people who think themselves witty comedians.
How common are ATMs on Seychelles? I want to avoid having a lot of cash.
