I want to move to Madagascar and work there, I have a remote job too but if I were to work there what would be the easiest form of employment there and how safe is the place for foreigners?
Pour un budget de 100 000$ ou moins, je souhaiterais savoir quel type de projet d'investissement (et pourquoi) vous envisageriez à Madagascar dans le domaine des affaires
For a budget of $100,000 or less, I would like to know what type of business/ investment project (and why) you would consider in Madagascar
I have a 9 day stay coming up in the area. I’m looking for something close to the city-center with good air conditioning, WiFi and hot showers. Aside from that, clean and comfortable are the priorities. I have a reasonably high budget but not enough for the Calypso. Can anybody recommend a hotel or a rental?
Hey everyone! I'm taking a trip to Madagascar in August. I will be with a tour group for the majority of the time, however I will be arriving two days before the official tour starts. I'll be in Antananarivo those two days.
My questions are:
What's the best way to get from the airport to your hotel?
What's the best way to get around Tana? Is it okay to walk around? I'm white so I'll stand out.
I found a recording from 1931 of what is supposedly a worker's chant for Madagascar. Does anyone with knowledge about the history and language know what the translation of the chant is?

Thanks in advance!!

Staying out of antsirabe, I would love to hear what the best options are in terms of outdoors/nature/hiking and seeing the country within reasonable driving distances and weekend trips. I know I am a bit far from a lot of the iconic baobab forests but what are some must see locations in the area?
Heу guys! A few years go I started to collect postcards from around the World, and got a lot of help from Redditors. Since then I collected postcards from over 240 countries and special regions, but still don't have a postcard from Madagascar. I was hoping maybe someone here is in the position to send me a postcard? I'll be happy to send one to you from Sochi, Russia.
Please, let me know!
Any recent experience with getting a 30 day tourist visa? Did you do it online in advance or on arrival. If you did it online. Where is the government site? Everything I've found looks a bit sketchy... which I guess should lead me to just doing it on arrival... but it's gonna be late and maybe this will save some time.
Quick question, does anyone who has been to Mauritius know the best way to use Ariary/USD there and avoid transaction fees?
I likely will have USD, but maybe Ariary, and my Malagasy and American cards aren't international so they'll probably be some transaction fees I'm looking to avoid if I use them. Banks are BMOI and BoA for reference. If it was possible to exhange Ariary or USD cash for Mauritian Rupee, that might be better.
Thanks!
Hello! I will already be in South Africa for two weeks this summer and it has been my DREAM to see chameleons and lemurs in the wild. Would it feasible to spend a week ish in Madagascar prior to starting my trip in South Africa…..or am I just being super naive? I would definitely like to go with a tour guide or company and would prefer to not travel around the entire island if possible. Thanks in advance!
