Litter (a solution)

So I was thinking about how dirty our country is and I came up with a solution What if the petty criminals (vandalizers ,thieves etc) would pick up litter everywhere not just towns And cities and bins/trash cans to be placed everywhere in the country Is there a way to make this possible or does it already happen and if it does how come I don’t see any improvement

Question On The MTN 5G Router

I am yet the get a response from MTN yet, so I I will try to ask from here, would it be possible to return the router to MTN after a month? I am planning to test it out for a month by buying that K500 - 220GB bundle and return it if it isn't good enough but not sure if that would be legal

We are our own worst enemy.

Change my mind.

Dealing with government you never know what you'll get that day. Sometimes everything is okay and works according to regulations, other times it's based on an individuals opinion.

Dealing with other businesses is so risky. One day everything will be fine and all payments will be made in a timely manner. Other times the person will run away with your money after job completion.

Why is it that we ourselves, hinder ourselves?

I truly believe all our problems now are self inflicted, corruption riddled and lacking ethics in all directions. Not ignoring our colonial past but this is far too removed from the control of the British.

If you don't pay, get ready to be delayed time and time again. To the point that government officials call you stupid for not paying.

The systems we rely on incentivize corruption.

This country has so much potential but is, for lack of a better term, held back by greed.

Adobe Creative Cloud Apps

It turns out that I can’t pay for any creative cloud apps because of region (Zambia) limitations.

Does anyone know how to get past this?

Also, if you are into photography or videography, what are your alternatives to Adobe Lightroom, Premiere and Photoshop?

Aviation Week Africa

Finished attending Aviation Week Africa which was held at Mulungushi Intl Conference Centre. The idea of this event was really good and I just wish the organizers did more marketing for it to attract more visitors. The event was supposed to run through Friday but unfortunately, that won’t happen because the Airshow side of things got pushed to a later date. The speakers were good but my favourite was Mr. Aaron Munetsi - CEO Airlines Association of Southern Africa (AASA). Otherwise, I hope the organizers will do more marketing next year so that many Zambian Aviation geeks/Enthusiasts like me can get to attend it and I hope the Airshow date will be announced soon.

Are you a Marvel or DC fanboy?

I wanna see how many nerds we might have on this sub so i'll shoot the question with the most popular IP's. Outside the realm of live action films (because quite honestly we know who's the undisputed royalty of Box Office and movie fandoms), which one of the Big Two are you a much bigger fan/stan of? Be it the comics, games or animations? Marvel will always have my respect, love and adoration. Not only do I think they have a way more diverse tier of well-written and revered characters to choose from whether its the cosmic, street level or flying bricks but their plot beats always have a human element regardless of what type of story is being told. The X-men being my favorite franchise was a big draw because I could often relate to the LGBT, gendered and racial allegories within the overarching narrative of the series. It also doesn't hurt that the mutants have never had a bad animated series (I stand ten toes down for X-men: Evolution). While Marvel flounders badly when it comes to the gaming and animation department, they are quickly picking up steam with outputs like X-men '97, the SpiderVerse film and I'm confident the Wolverine game will be a winner like the Spidey ones. I'm just waiting for the day they start belting out R-rated content if the House of Mouse slightly loosens the family friendly filter they impose on the Marvel brand. I've tried to get into DC comics but the hyperfocus on Batman at the expense of my faves like Wonderwoman and Martian Manhunter has always made me rank them lower than Marvel when it comes to diversity.

Job scams in Zambia

Last week a colleague shared a link to a role they thought I'd be interested in. On the outset the organisation looked legitimate and the website had all the necessary information you would need if you were looking for a job. However, on further scrutiny of the website, the pictures seemed AI generated, the information on the website was basic and there was no information on the company presence in Zambia.

This company claimed to be an international organisation, it had no social media presence as well.

Unfortunately I only noticed all these things after I had received an "offer" which was extremely suspicious as I had not been interviewed . In the offer, they required submission of a Certified Cognitive Evaluation Report(CCER) and directed me to a link that I had to pay to take the test. At this point I sensed something was wrong and I spent a significant amount of time investigating the organisation.

Sharing this as a warning. Job hunting is a struggle.

Side note: please reach out if you are looking for monitoring and evaluation expert.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

The below was forwarded to me—read it.

SLAVERY OF MEN BY WOMEN

Every Man irrespective of who they are must read the book by a German writer Esther Villar In her book "The Manipulated Man"

This book has caused outrage and hostile criticism from women, it explains how women since the earliest times have manipulated men and turned them into their slaves, they have pretended to be the oppressed sex while in the real sense they are the oppressors.

She explains how a woman manipulates a man skillfully by steps like courtship and finally marriage , hence the saying “ a man chases a woman until SHE catches him” .

In her book she explains how the man is tricked to care for the woman all his life and her offspring.

He rolls the stone like Sisyphus and in turn gets rewarded by a few minutes of sexual pleasure.

We can, by observing Esther Villars assertions that a man is a slave of his desires and the woman uses and has used it for thousands of years as a stick and carrot to keep the man chasing vanity and commit his life to serving her.

She goes ahead to explain the rivalry of women , how each woman feels the powerful urge and need to own a male for herself.

Like a slave owner she detests any move the man would make to offer his services to another woman. She uses all means to keep the man to herself and her offspring alone.

Esther Villar's sentiments are captured by Nigerian Poet, critic and writer, Chinweizu Ibekwe in his book, “The Anatomy of Female Power” (AFP) and Will Farrel's, “The Predatory Female”.

They all push the theory that all societies are matriarchal and not patriarchal as we are pushed and forced to believe. Matriarchy has ruled not through brawn but wits and tricks; women feigning weakness to be protected etc. Thus the male becomes the most exploited sex in human history, (in wars the man is always ready to die for the woman; he has been trained to do that).

Chinweizu calls the idea of dating and courtship , training , like that of a horse. It is during this time that a woman having kept the man on a leash by denying him sex and getting him addicted to her by false charms, trains and breaks him to whatever she wants him to become.

The marriage celebration becomes a celebration for the woman and her friends, and they all congratulate her for having succeeded in getting herself a slave .

A man on that wedding day waves goodbye to his independence and his coalition of males and commits himself to a Sisyphean life, rolling the stone, an act he cannot abandon having society and the government checking on him and always ready to jail , shame or exile him for absconding his duties of slavery.

Thus the government and society helps the woman in keeping her slave(man) in check.

Chinweizu gives a narration of how women are trained by older matriarchs to tame men. He explains how a man is trained to rely on women by his own mother.

A man is shamed for cooking for himself and other domestic chores by his own mother who is an agent of the global matriarchal rule.

By getting the man to hate domestic works and having it enforced by culture which warns men against going into the kitchen, doing laundry etc.

The mother trains his son for the woman who will captivate him and when the time comes she takes hold of the man's stomach and by getting the man addicted to her body she holds him by the two, in bed and in the kitchen .

With those two weapons she manipulates the man and turns him into her plaything.

In the “Myth of the Male Power”, Esther Villar's “A Man's Right to the Other Woman”; “The Polygamous Sex”, the authors of those books challenge the narrative that men oppress women, and by detailed research across African, Western and Eastern both in ancient and modern societies, the authors unravel the hidden power of the ruthless matriarchal power that rules the world.

Also Helen E. Fisher did anthropological research of ancient human societies and wrote the book "The Sex Contract, The evolution of human behaviour" 1982. She too came to the conclusion that Marriage is a selfish creation of a Woman, where she uses sex to manipulate a man to take care of her and her offspring. Other male animals do not carry the same burden and responsibility.

Presidents , Emperors and Kings are all puppets of the matriarchy forces that rule the World by pulling the strings from behind the curtains

A noble piece which is a must read for every Man under the globe...

Staple food

The staple food of many European countries, the potato, comes from southern Peru/northwestern Bolivia and arrived in Europe sometime before the end of the 16th century. Maize comes from Mexico and arrived presumably in the 16th century in some coastal regions of Africa but was largely unknown in the interior till the end of the 19th century. Rice comes from Asia.

Many staple foods people consider theirs are actually not indigenous.

Considering 1) costs of seeds and fertilizer, 2) nutrition and health (ultra refined foods like white maize and rice are not healthy), 3) climate change and drought, 4) labour, what would be the perfect staple food/diet for Zambia?

How much are the collection fees from a ishop hub?

Can Starlink finally force our internet providers to get their sh*t together?

Everyone I know from a middle class background and above is thinking of getting one, Including me!!! This means that the in-country internet providers will be making less money from their top-tier internet subscription packages.

Could this finally be the impetus needed for them to improve their services or will they gang up on it and force it out of the country the way they did to Vodafone (remember Vodafone)??

Love Zambia

Have been all over the world and Zambia is up there with my favourite places I’ve ever visited.

The people are so chill and have such a positive outlook on life.

The nature, landscapes and wildlife are out of this world. Victoria Falls and South Luangwa National park will stay in my memories forever.

Hopefully I can return again one day.

Our dirty country

Hi all.

I have noticed that many of our streets in public areas are very dirty. Aged flattened plastic bottles are quite the norm. That's an indicator that we as a people are failing in some departments. So what do you think causes the mess, and how can we solve it?
