So I was in a non quota system at school and I didn't make enough points to study medicine so I finished my biology degree and I'm applying for medicine direct entry to 3rd year in unza , I know my weaknesses which are mathematical sciences ! I hate math , I'm not bad at it because I can always practice but I am slow at it and it kills my confidence, so basically I'm asking if I will find any math or physics or chemistry courses as a med student going to study at unza !?
I'm tired of running on the Great East Road in urban areas and seeing concrete for kilometers on end.If you know of any places like forests, hills, or mountains, that would be nice.
What's is your opinion of these party's that havent had a chance yet in zambia?

I signed up or Starlink Residential Lite service with a mini dish for my home in Kitwe but now I have work in Lusaka and Starlink is telling me I cannot use the dish in town. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what did you do? Thanks!
I'm a huge fan of the various kinds of breads out there, such as sourdough, pretzels, croissants, baguettes etc. Your standard Zambian bakery seems to specialise in ordinary bread, buns and meat pies. Where can one find artisanal bread in the capital city? I've looked into Stef's in Foxdale, but you buy bread by order and they aren't open to the public - can't just go and browse what they have before committing. Is there a proper artisanal bakery in Lusaka?
When I left 10 years ago, it was fine. It was beautiful. People waited for you inside! My shock when i came back and found that its just a huge hall where you get your bags in that corner and family waits for you outside over some rail? Was it just for the time being or is this the permanent design?
I'm looking for a place to acquire wax in Lusaka
Whats a good sports bar in Lusaka that shows PPV Boxing or MMA events that come on at 4-5am Zambian time. I am mindful the Fury V Usyk fight is on in December and the fight might be on at an awkward time and due to load shedding i need a reliable spot.
Hello I wanted to find out if employers in Zambia value someone who has done CIMA or does it have the same value as a bachelor's degree.

I am not sure about how to best go about buying a car. Buying a new one with financing sounds so weird to me here with those insane interest rates.
With used cars I find it so hard to find legitimate offers on facebook and such.
Does anybody have a trusted source or a place here you bough a used car and were happy with the service/ quality?
So me & the hun have realized that we need a side hustle, I would like to hear some business ideas that we can run while we work.
The utility recently announced 7 hours of power recently. Not to jinx it, but I've been consistently getting up to 12-14 hours of uninterrupted power from around 20-22hrs, with the occasional 2 hour block somewhere during the day. I really hope this is a situation of them under-promising, knowing that 7 hours is what they can guarantee, while preferring to deliver beyond that on average.
From a revenue collection perspective, I'm sure it's working out for them because we're actually recharging our accounts now. One minor wrench in the works will be that the few institutions and households that installed solar will consume fewer units even with increased power availability. But I imagine these comprise a tiny fraction of their consumer base anyway. Zesco definitely helps plug the solar gap on overcast days like today.
I'm sure you guys maybe aware of the situation in Mozambique. Tldr: Liberation party over stays their welcome.
I think it's time we organised ourselves as African people to support and advocate for one another.
I know we all have busy lives and it maybe be hard for us to spare much resources. Thus, I'm thinking we can make awareness posters that we can share to our social medias (FB, Whatsapp etc.).
I know such things may feel performative but I feel it is better to use the little we have, than to just despair.
Sorry for the silly clickbait title.
Just cause trump is here doesn't mean your getting sent back ,he only cares about illegal citizens of other countrys, listen to what he actually says an not what media is saying get your source from the man not the twisted version also ,stop believing all the lies on tv ,I have friends from Mexico and Canada none got sent back ,if you have a visa or any other paperwork your fine don't worry.

Hey everyone, I’m new to forex trading and looking for some advice. I’m currently learning through YouTube and wondering if you could recommend any good beginner-friendly channels or resources. Also, how much capital would you suggest starting with to keep risks low while I learn? Lastly, which brokers have you found to be the best for trading in Zambia? I’d appreciate any tips on avoiding common beginner mistakes and managing risks effectively. Thanks in advance!
Hey all!
I am from the Netherlands and a colleague of ours is graduating soon here. But she is also moving back to Lusaka soon afterwards.
We would like to get her a nice gift, possibly an experience/activity rather than something material (also because of transportation issues). I also thought that some things might be more convenient to buy there, and we might have good purchasing power and be able to get her something nicer there rather than here (think of, for instance, a massage, that costs approx 70 euros/h or >2000 ZMW here).
If you have lived in Europe, can you think of something that you would be a good gift and that is maybe more convenient in Lusaka compared to the majority of places here? But it also needs to be something that is acceptable as a gift for graduation in the Zambian culture. For instance, I would love a massage, but maybe she could think it's weird?
Thanks in advance!
Hi everyone! Let me start off that I am a white girl staying in Zambia for a couple of months. Ever since I came her I have been fascinated with hair and intricate braid designs of the local women here. They are so beautiful and every now and then I see some design that leaves me questioning how is that even possible. I would like to learn more about history of braiding here in Zambia and in general about hair and how women here care of it and any info on the topic that may be interesting.
Second question might be sensitive, but I am really ignorant on this topic and willing to learn. How do you feel about white girls getting African braid styles? All the opinions I have heard so far are very mixed and some say it is cultural appropriation and white women should never do it and some are very happy when they try it and are encouraging. I have so far got the impression of Zambians being very open and welcoming and were happy to teach me some Nyanja and to cook local food. I would like to think about potentially getting my hair braided after learning about it, but I am worried I might be judged for it and might offend someone, so I would like to hear advices and opinions of Zambians. Zikomo!
Is there an archery range in Lusaka?
There is a lot of complicated aspects legally with respect to reporting crimes. Prioritising victim safety is a must. However, balancing this with holding potential offenders is a difficult endeavour.
I bring this up because of my continued looking into religious institutions. And their association with organised crime. You can easily be sued for defamation, and with deep enough pockets you can be found liable. And yet, its imperative that troubling individuals be dealt with using the very same system they are able to exploit. Unaccounted for money is a major issue, that ie, money that the government is unable to tax. Theft, drug dealings and so on are factors that restrict the buying power our government has. And this eventually leads into deeper issues down the line. So, how is it that we can give proper justice to victims, how can we over turn the people who do wrong, while staying within the restrictive but understandable rules set in place?
If you asked me. I haven't a clue. Frankly I'm not tall enough to pull off a batman. But what do you all think?
I know a couple people in Lusaka and it seems like depending on where you’re at, maybe the phone, and maybe the service provider the service is horrible. Is it quite common now to have very bad cell service? Specifically no data.
I’ve heard there’s been vandalism to some of the cell sites and others with the load shedding have been spotty at best. Is it specific areas or all over the Lusaka area? Particularly in Ibex Hill area. I am having difficulties getting through on any reasonable basis.
