I can't seem to find the lyrics to this enchanting song. Could someone please help me and provide the original text ? I am dying to know what this is about, it is lyrical and poignant, it takes me to special places.

I’m sorry if this is an inappropriate place to post this, but I’m looking for experienced buyers of US second hand goods. I’m American who is traveling across west Africa and senegal appears to be the best opportunity when shipping from the US. Thank you in advance
Hi there! 28yr old here planning a holidayfrom the UK to Senegal in January. For those of you with foreign passports, I was wondering whether you were ever asked for proof of accommodation upon arrival at Dakar?
I'm going for a week, and, not knowing the country at all, I was hoping to book Dakar hotels and work out the rest once I was in the country. The Senegalese embassy says that accommodation bookings could be checked upon entry, but is this really the case?
I'm guessing there will be different experiences depending on whether you needed a visa for entry, but the UK is visa free.
Why are senegalese men players and cheaters? Why is it so hard to trust them.
Is anyone else experience with dating and relationships are rough with senegalese men?
I’m a black American male content creator traveling to Senegal soon… what are some unique things that will get people out of their seat that Senegal has to offer?

I’m a 26-year-old male from Sudan, and I graduated with a Computer Science degree with a minor in Business Technology. My parents have been pressuring me about marriage, saying that if I can’t find someone, they will find a partner for me back home. I’ve been telling them that I’m not ready yet, but they keep insisting I should marry since I’ve paid off my house and have stable job.
I have many reasons why I don’t want to marry someone from back home because my expectations for a wife are that she takes care of our kids and educates them after school, while I’ll provide for the family.
I've told them several times I'm thinking about it but I keep getting reminded every few months. What should I do? My type is somone from senegal or Ghana.
I am writing to inquire if any of you know where I can fingerprinting services for federal background checks or security clearance for American citizens in Senegal . I have recently been employed by a U.S.-based company, and as part of the onboarding process, I need to submit a fingerprint card urgently.
A few weeks ago my iphone was stolen and it is now showing up on Find My iphone app as being in Thies. I checked on Google Maps and there is a shop selling 2nd hand electronics right there at the address so it is easy to see where it is. It is locked and so completely useless to anyone who doesn't have my icloud password. Does anyone know how much a blocked iphone would be selling for in a 2nd hand store there in Thies?
Hello,
I am stuck between Mauritania and Senegal , heading to Dakar.
I’m at the border across the bridge of diama.
Now the police want me to pay 250€ for two papers for entering Senegal because my car is older then 7 years.
-Passavant de circulation pour vehicule.
-Fiche du circulation
And a paper -regional de la douane zone bord saint louis.
Is this correct or am I getting ripped off.
———-update 1 I waited in the car calling embassy for questions , the only response was an email adress.
After 2 hours the police arrived asking my papers. Passport , carte gris (car) and driving license.
They took it to the office and locked it in their office. They said I had to pay 162.000 XOF.
And insurance.
I responded I want to have my papers back and this is stealing.
I made a phone call at their office and the cop flew out and grabbed me by the neck.
He dared to hit me in the face , one second later his colleague came aswell to try to take my phone.
I ran and locked myself in the car.
After 1 hour trying to get urgency help by phone and receiving no valueable help I decided to pay.
I paid in total 400€ ish.
——— update 2
I drove through and am parked 5 km inside the border of Senegal now.
——- question Will I have to pay 300€ again to go out???
Hello everyone
I just got to Senegal a week ago and met a lovely woman from Pikine at the airport (on the way to Senegal)
That lady invited me to her place and presented me to her entire family, welcomed me very warmly and offered me lunch with everyone.
While hanging out there, I got to meet her mom which is a « voyante » / traditional doctor.
I was curious so I asked if I could do a session with her. She said yes, and at the end of the session, she said that I needed to come back in two days, while she goes buy a cock.
So when I come back in two days, she will kill the cock and look inside wether it’s black or white.
Apparently I’ll have to pay the cost of chicken + the medecin.
Does anyone know anything about this ? Any thoughts ?
Thanks for reading
So in the future I'm wanting to visit Senegal . Which cities, towns, villages and natural beauties should I visit. Obviously I'm gonna go to Dakar since it's the capital but idk where else to go .
What would be my best way to get to Senegal, my closest airport is Newcastle, second closest is either teesside airport, Edinburgh or Leeds Bradford airport.
Are Senegalese people fine with brits (I'm asking this on all the subs I'm posting on since we aren't liked in some countries and places )
I ate on Yoff beach last night at Chez Kadia, it was amazing bbq fish. Any recommendations for other places?
Like muslim marrying non muslim?or it is not practiced because of religious reason?
Hello everyone!
I (F23) have been trying to learn how to dance Salsa and Kizomba for as long as I've been here in Dakar (a little over a year now). I've never taken it seriously but I would reaaaaaallly like to. I've been diligently going to dance classes once per week but apparently it's not enough since one has to practice often in order to make any serious progress.
I'm wondering if there's anyone who'd be willing to practice Salsa or/and Kizomba with me, perhaps someone on the same boat lol.
Feel free to reach out if that's the case!
Interesting story by Borso Tall about a fisherman who could make a lot of money taking people to the Canary Islands.
i am looking for a pair of Stan smith shoes, but the real ones, i went to colobane but all i met was people trying to sell me things i didn't need, or "original" shoes that weren't really the real thing.
i don't want the big stores like galaxy sport because those prices are nuts for shoes.
my biggest issue is when i ask people for original they just point to the highest quality copy and call it original , i try to explain but then i look like the crazy one.
i once bought ones from a guy in the street in Medina for 10.000 XOF!, a literal steal since they were OG's , I'm just guessing he didnt know maybe.
are there any markets/ thrift shops known to sell the real deal stuff only, or is that just not a thing here ?
Thinking about starting a tech company based out of either Dakar or Thies.

I always loved adventure, casual, cooperation games. But for years I've been mainly focused on competitive games like Overwatch, R6 and now Marvel Rivals...
I want to gradually move away from these games and play with people who prefer chill adventure, survival and sandbox games. Games that you can play, talk, laugh and have a fun time. Instead of the intense focus and commitment that competitive games require.
We can also create a group to play together. So hit me up !
Here are the type of games i play or i'd love to try : (You can also suggest me games you'd like to play)
Party Animals
No man's sky
Sea of Thieves
Valheim
Overcooked
Helldivers
V Rising
Remnant 2
Baldurs Gate 3
Monster Hunter
Path of Exile 2
Abiotic Factor
Enshrouded
Lockdown Protocol
Don't Starve Together

Hi there I'm staying in Les almadies, just wondering if anyone knows where to buy tobacco from here?
Hi all,
3 of us plan to take bus from Dakar to Banjul on Xmas Eve (24th Dec). We are trying to book bus ticket via Dem Dikk app but once we clicked payment, the app crashed.
Do you know any way to book ticket online in advance? We are just worried that it's peak travel season and it's better for us to secure seats in advance?
Thanks
Kevin
Last August, I hitchhiked from Morocco to Senegal, and I absolutely loved my time there! 🌍 The vibrant culture, warm people, and stunning landscapes left a lasting impression on me. Since then, I’ve been thinking about making Senegal my next home.
If you have any leads or tips, please let me know. I’d love to hear your suggestions and experiences. Thank you in advance for helping me make this dream a reality! 🙏
Hello all, I’m living in Dakar for a few weeks and I don’t get how the local buses (DemDikk and AFTU) work. How do I know how much to pay once I board the bus? At first I thought it was a fixed fare because the first time I used the bus I handed the ticket person a 500cfa bill and he gave me change but didn’t ask where I was going. The second time I handed the ticket person the same bill but he asked me something (couldn’t hear at all because it was quite loud) and eventually gave me change back but more than I got the first time. I don’t speak French or Wolof that well but do I tell the ticket person where I’m going and then pay?
