Conlangers construct human languages, and the ones here are queer, meaning they express the thoughts, feelings, culture, and experiences of people who do not fit the cisgender and/or heterosexual mold.

Flair: Tag yourself with your flag and your conlang(s)! Thanks to switchnode.

Feel free to post here if:

  • You speak, write, invent, or use constructed, artificial, artistic, engineered, or auxiliary languages.

  • You have a proposal for anti-assimilationist vocabulary or alternative pronouns.

  • You have information concerning queer vocabulary in natural languages.

We also accept sign languages, like Gestuno, from our deaf/Deaf readers.

Looking for more information on the 'secret' Cambodian register/argot called "Pia Saa Sor", used to hide from the Khmer Rouge in the 70s and now used by the Cambodian LGBT+ community.

2SLGBTQ+ Mental Health

Hey everyone! My name is Noah and I am conducting research intended to improve knowledge and access to mental health concerns for the 2SLGBTQ+ community. I am a member of the community myself and wanted to give others an opportunity to share their experiences, their stories, and to be a part of improving 2SLGBTQ+ mental health care. The study only takes a few minutes to participate in and all information is kept completely anonymous. If anyone is interested in participating just click on the link to get started!!

Italian non-binary language

I've seen some people use -ə for gender neutrality, and there was a post on here I saw a while back making neos for Italian. I was wondering if I could just do -u instead, because ə sounds out of place in the phonology of the language. (ie= ItalianU, Io sono *Americanu*)
