Can someone break down the ins and outs of translucent powder? Why is it available in different colors, and how do those shades affect makeup for drag, especially when doing face paint?
I'm fairly new to makeup and want to dive into drag, particularly with bold face paint looks. I’ve noticed that translucent powders come in different shades (like white, beige, yellow, etc.), and I'm curious why that is. What’s the difference between them, and how do they affect the final look? Specifically, how do they work when setting face paint or heavy makeup for drag, where precision and long wear are important? Any tips on which powders to use for different skin tones or makeup styles would be awesome!
I'm a 19 year old cis male and I am straight. For years I've always been drawn to makeup and drag and I have tried on lipstick in secret. I don't want to be a girl and I am definitely not trans but I like the idea of wearing makeup, and lipstick is definitely a confidence booster haha. my whole family is not super accepting so I would never confess any of this to them or wear makeup in front of them but I just feel like makeup is cool, I even like the idea of wearing wigs and clothes like people on rupauls drag race do. I don't even know where to start but I do watch some youtubers who do drag or makeup. Can I just like makeup and stuff without being gay or a girl?
I’m trying to think of a good name for my king persona rn and I was wondering what the process was like for each performer here
Hi my loves, please help me! I did 5-6 layers with Elmer’s glue and let it set for 10 mins in between layers with a hand fan and pressed translucent powder into the last layer. I used orange color corrector and liquid foundation as the last step. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
Helloo, i'm a 17 trans boy getting started into drag !

Here is what i already have in my list :
Primer : Nyx marshmellow smoothing primer
A setting spray from Nyx
For foundation: kryolan tv paint stick
A black liner from Nyx
Now this is what i need :/ :
Highlight and coutour (is it better in stick or palette ?)
Lipstick (can i use the colors of an eyeshadow palette for it ?)
An eyeshadow palette
lash glue and mascara
Black eyeshadow and white eyeshadow
Lip liner
An eyebrow comb

And by the way this is the kind of makeup i love and inspire me !

So basically I’m a trans man and I like my mustache bc I don’t get misgendered when I have it. I did a makeup test today bc I’m trying to feel out how it looks. I really want to get into drag but really don’t want to shave my mustache. What do you guys think? (I don’t have a face on I was just playing with a new eyeshadow so only one eye is done lol)
I can’t find any wigs that fit my head . Doesn’t anyone know where to find larger size wigs? Preferably Amazon
