So, I’m an ftm drag king, and I grew up wearing heels on occasion; My shoes were usually platform and 3-4 inch heels, but after a long stealth era, it’s been a while since I’ve worn any. For pride this year, I’m doing a goth cowboy look, and my fit has fortunately come in— between the faux leather that I surely will be overheating in, and the 5 inch heeled cowboy boots I wasn’t anticipating (the picture made them look way shorter), is there any way to survive pride wearing these?

I went on a date wearing them the other day and while I can walk fine, the pain kicks in pretty quickly after a bit of walking. I had to stop and sit several times, because jesus christ, it was bad. They fit fine, but my feet aren’t used to this anymore— does anyone know how to get back into this kind of thing? I’m bringing extra shoes just to be safe, but some of my friends are joking about getting a wagon just so I don’t die lmao

How do y'all wear pumps & other heels without them slipping off? I have to wear tights & the back of my feet always slip out when walking. I usually wear boots to avoid this but I wanna add different styles to my looks but I don't wanna add straps. Are there special tights? Do I have to not wear tights? Do I have to squeeze into a smaller shoe size?

Does anyone have experience styling the back neckline of a wig like what is shown in the image? Or any tutorial videos that help with walking through it?

I don’t do drag but I do have a question about it. Today I went to a drag brunch with a group in my college. While there one of the queens said she liked my makeup and handed me one of her earrings. Obviously I felt very special after that. However, I wanted to know if doing something like that has a larger significance in drag culture.

I have been trying out a bunch of different techniques and styles to find what looks flatter my natural features most and how extreme I can push them. I have done looks that are more traditional in terms of makeup techniques, and I've done looks with thicker graphic liner and tons of color. I'm trying to find some sort of medium between the two to rely on the most, but I would like to stay fairly experimental with my looks since they would range from feminine, to masculine, to androgynous, and just straight up Creature Feature depending on the expected sets. I worry since a lot of people have their mugs as their "stamp" or brand, but maybe it isn't that big of a deal after all. Does anyone have any tips aside from just Knowing your face? Not that I don't, but some tips on things I could try out or do could help me a lot more.

Also as someone who has avoided makeup most of my life, (gender dysphoria) I am nowhere in the loop about good products. I'm most curious about foundations, like which ones won't absolutely dry my face out. Any and all input would be appreciated! 💖
