Deceased Dog

Hi Pburg,

This is an awful post but we were walking this morning and there was a deceased young dog on the side of University Blvd (around the 300 block). It appeared to be a rotty or maybe a terrier mix. I let the city know, but they can’t retrieve it until Monday. If this is your dog, I am so sorry for your loss.

Traumatic Injury Care Course - Sat. Nov 16th

We will have a medical course on Nov. 16th!

This course will cover injuries that need to be addressed to prevent death before EMS arrives. You could see them in a vehicle accident, the workplace, or even at home. You will gain the knowledge AND the tools to care for traumatic injuries. The course includes a trauma first aid kit (IFAK), which is comprised of a tourniquet, chest seals, gauze, etc.

The course will be taught by veteran Navy SEAL Combat Medic Jim LaPaglia. After leaving the Navy, Jim deployed multiple times as a contractor with the CIA. He also spent the last 20 years as a lead firearms and medical instructor for Armed Forces Experimental Training Activity Department of Defense (AFETA) and law enforcement when not deployed.

DM or email us if you’re interested! The course address will be provided to those interested. If you can’t attend this course, follow us on social media for future course offerings (link in the comments).

Good parks for toddlers?

Any nearby, or even colonial heights or Chester? 3 year old friendly. There was a park where I used to live called Park 365, and I haven’t found one as good as that one yet. Fenced in, sensory wall, all age groups playground in different sections and playgrounds for disabled children as well. I wish they had a park like that in every city.

109 Perry Street

What did this building used to be before it was apartments? I wouldn’t say I’m psychic but I can get energy from buildings I go into. When I went inside the energy I felt was so heavy and thick in the air that something bad happened here. Maybe a bunch of bad things. Even the parking lot felt creepy to me. I was looking around thinking of moving there but changed my mind quickly after going inside and nearly getting lost in the maze of apartments, hallways and stairways.
