I’m (30M) Looking for someone to do some winter hiking and after some time possibly backpacking. Preferably around same age. I’ve tried meetup but I do shift work so the bulk of my free time would be during the week, weekends I try to spend with the family since I only get 2 weekends off a month.

17-year-old Annabel De Souza has been reported missing since 10 pm on Saturday, November 30, 2024. She was last seen near her home in Roanoke, VA.

Annabel is 5'4" and ~120 lbs. She has long dark brown/black hair, a nose stud, 3 piercings per ear, and blue acrylic nails.

Annabel may be traveling to Hampton Roads, Richmond, or Virginia Beach. Annabel has a medical condition that requires daily medication.

I recently took in a family member who passed aways cat. He was indoor/outdoor before and has very long hair that is matted all throughout. I tried a shaver on my own, but that didn't go over super well and only got some of them out. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to take him to get this taken care of? I know he's probably in pain with all of the matted hair tugging on his skin and I just want to give him a fresh start so we can groom it right to begin with. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Hey guys, there’s been this furry black dog running around Oaklawn and Winslow NW for a few days now. I even saw him last night and he was once again seen this morning but as soon as I try to get close he runs away. The dog has a collar on but it’s ridiculous no one in the neighborhood has done anything. I am gonna try to catch him, but if I can’t where can I call to help catch this dog? I know animal control doesn’t pick up strays anymore but who can I call or where can I take him if I do catch him? Thanks guys!

I’ve been on the job hunt for the past year employed but miserable at my current And I’ve only gotten two interviews in the past 6 months. I have no college experience because I have no idea what I want to do with my life and can’t see myself spending that amount of money on something I won’t even be doing a year from now. I’ve been working with animals for the past 10+ years but this past year has really just diminished my love for it to the point I’m beyond burnt out. I’ve got tons of experience in that field, I’ve got some restaurant experience and I’ve worked a desk job before. I thought I’d give here a try since I’ve completely exhausted Indeed, SnagAJob, ZipRecuiter and even Google.

I am a primary caretaker for a couple family members. I am able to do a lot of things like grocery shopping, cooking food, cleaning house, and a store pick up for them. However, I am definitely not able to cut hair or do pedicures for them. I wish I could but never learned those skills.

Does anyone have any recommendations for businesses who do at home appointments? I think hair cuts and feet care would be the most helpful (both are diabetic) but am up for any that I may be missing.

I have lived in Roanoke for 6 months and today was the first time I went to a movie theater here….and it sucked!! I was a teenager in the 90’s/early 2000’s and walking into the AMC off Electric was like bad deja vu except maybe worse because nothing worked there (soda machines not working-no carbonation, icee machine broken, out of stock on pretty much any food other than popcorn). I have not been to the theater near valley view mall but I hear it’s not much better. So, my question is, does the city/theater companies have a plan to upgrade any of these facilities? If not, where is the next closest, not run down and disgusting theater? Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

The big storm that came through a couple months ago helped me find that the flashing around my chimney and the boots for the vent pipes need to be fix/ replaced.
