Who keeps pooping on my patio in Norfolk?

I live off of Granby in Bayview and without fail every Friday or Saturday night I'll find poop either right after I step off my patio or on one of the patio steps. Every other week, sometimes every week. DM me and we could maybe work this out I don't know. Thank you for your consideration.

Trying to get out more

Hi everyone. I'm sure you guys get these kinds of posts rather often but I'm really looking for some advice. I just moved to the Hampton Roads area back in July and now that I have finally gotten settled I really wanna get out and meet some people. The problem is that I am a huge homebody and have a hard time going out with a direct objective. So I was wondering if anyone could offer some pointers on where I can go to meet people and what types of activities/venues are popular. I'm 22 and would like to try to stick closer to my own age if possible. Thanks.

Edit: I’m around the Harbour View, Suffolk area if that helps

Anyone know how to hire a caretaker?

I just inherited a large estate and I don't have the time or patients to maintain it. How do you go about finding someone to hire on full-time to take care of your estates and properties?

No cops near Turlington Rd Suffolk?

All night all I hear are motorcycles and cars racing, doing burnouts. They hit my cat the other night. Does anyone else near Holland/Downtown Suffolk hear/experience this stuff? I feel like just a cop or 2 speed trapping in the area or a few speed bumps could help this?

Why does the ABC store have to be closed today

Thanksgiving cooking has just started and my entire family already needs a shot. I don’t live here but in need of some advice. How can I get liquor?

(Disclaimer: I’m happy that the ABC care about their employees and give them the day off)

Prospectively Moving to Little Creek Area - Job Advice? Schooling?

Hi everyone! I am potentially moving to the Little Creek area with my fiancé (who is already in V.A.) from my home-state and just wanted to throw some feelers out for career ideas out that way.

About me:

I have my AA-T in Sociology, my AS-T in Administration of Justice and my BA in Humanities and Communications with a concentration in Pre-Law. I've worked a bit in a law firm, worked for two seconds (lol) in a local Emergency Communications Center for the county, and I've worked as a Behavioral Technician for the local school district. In between jobs I help to care for my aging grandma (81-years-old) that my son and I live with, and my kiddo.

As you can see, I've kinda popped around jobs with no real career in sight. I think I was just hoping something would stick. One of the issues of my current area is that everyone knows one another and it's VERY small-town around here.

Do you find that this area is nice and big and nobody knows one another? Is it relatively easy to find something new? Are the local colleges pretty good (I was eyeballing Mortuary Sciences at TCC)? Do you guys have any experience in the above fields, there, and like them?

Thanks for reading and/or throwing out any advice/anecdotes! :D

Try this on your next camping trip

If you want to make your next camping trip a more authentic experience you should try this out. My cousin makes these pocket sized durable foraging guides, small enough to slip in your wallet. It has 55 of the most commonly found edible plants, trees, nuts and fruits in North America. It goes over what parts of the plant are edible, how to prepare them and any medicinal benefits they have. So you can give foraging a try on your next camping trip and spice up your meals whilst developing a useful skill. They're super cheap too, you can get 4 of them for just $39.95 so you can equip the whole family and make an activity out of it. Plus it's just handy to have if you frequently go camping or hiking, you never know when you might find yourself in a dire situation with no reception. It provides some peace of mind knowing you and your family can find food anywhere.

Here's the link if you're interested - https://thepocketprepper.com

Beer Advent Calendars

Any bottle shops in the area doing a beer Advent calendar? Trying to avoid the big box stores, shooting for something that comes from a local shop and contains a curated selection versus the leftovers of what they couldn't sell this year. Bonus points if it's in Portsmouth or Norfolk!

Math and Physics tutoring for College, High School, and Middle School students

Hi! I have an undergraduate degree in Aerospace engineering from Virginia Tech. I have taken all levels of math up to numerical methods (including things like differential equations and multivariable calculus). I also have taken physics 1, 2, statics, and dynamics. I am just looking to make some extra money, and I know final exams are coming up for college students.

I can tutor college students, high school students, and middle school students. My pricing is flexible, I'm thinking about $15 an hour. I could do reduced rates for groups or longer sessions. I can do it in person, or via zoom. just DM if interested

Assistance please..

My husband is military. I caught him attempting to cheat with someone from his hometown. We did not agree on an open marriage. Our first anniversary is coming up. He told me he is completely monogamous. I found the messages when I went to set an alarm for work so he would not be late. I want to end this marriage quietly. I am afraid of making him mad as he is currently halfway medicated for potential bipolar. I am starting a new job. I am dealing with getting listed for an organ transplant. I have a lot on my plate. I am in school using his GI bill. I would like resources for a lawyer, resources on affordable living in Hampton or NN safe for a female. I want to have a lawyer who can help me keep my pet. I do not care about the house we bought together but I cannot lose my baby. I know I cannot be the only one who went through this.....I am heart broken. Please be kind.

Christmas Tree Lots?

I'm thinking of buying a real tree this year. In the past when I've looked, all I could find was expensive nurseries or tree farms that didn't have anything in the size I want (4-5' ish - it was all small tabletops or like 6-7' and up), weren't even open like the 2nd week in December (when my family traditionally would get a tree - these places last weekend was Thanksgiving weekend!?) and charged an arm and a leg.

Does the old fashioned parking lot w/ reasonably priced trees not exist anymore? Even better would be if it's a charity lot for the Scouts or something, but I'll take a slightly sketchy commercial lot that's trying to make a buck. (That's the kind of place I used to go in the Washington DC area when I lived there.)

I just... we don't have a lot of money, and I miss the real trees from my youth (having grown up in rural PA.)

I live in NN, but I'm happy to travel to the Southside or W'burg or the Middle Peninsula, etc. Thanks, folks, and have a great Thanksgiving!

Dinner with a Play Area

Hi! Local who moved away a decade ago. Back in town with my kid. Are there any spots that have play areas for kids? Casual brewery/food cart/dining hall type places to take a few families out where kids can be entertained?
