They'll complain about anything these days
I put this on the back burner for a while of other important deadlines I had to meet.
Whenever I try to activate the link I just end up looping through an error screen and the eID activation resources
I got an email acknowledging I had been accepted but i haven’t had any good news since
Anyone here in the IA program or you’re a graduate of it? I’m trying to see if it’s legit. What’s the job outlook?
Hey guys had a family member/ close friend pass recently and I needed someone help in a class. For my ethics ( PHIL 150 )with C Zimmerman he said we can use our notes. He told Us it was the same each year and we are welcome to use notes. I was wondering if anyone had tips or could spare me there notes.
Very valid question boys
I'm trying to decide between George Mason and JMU. For reference, I'm an in-state student, and I plan on going in undecided. I want to hear from actual JMU students on how the school is, please!!!
Do upperclassmen(specifcally girls) go to frat parties? Why do I never them there. As a freshman myself, how come everyone, especailly girls I've talked to are all freshman? Where do the upperclassmen go considering JMU's bar scene is very lame, or is it just me.
I do most of my service back home, but I need a diagnostic and possibly a fix to my suspension and/or tires before I drive back to NoVa. Someone who knows Acura/Hondas well would be preferable (although I think most mechanics do 😅).
I had a pretty shitty first semester at CC I had amazing grades in hs but I fucked around and slacked off and I have a 2.8 I’m gonna be taking 2 of my classes again in the summer I’ll be getting my associates in the fall and hopefully transfer in the Spring of 26’.
So what GPA should I be aiming for to get in and what measures can I take at this point to give myself the best shot?
Edit: thank you so much everyone for the advice and encouraging words it means a whole lot!
I applied to JMU as a safety school and it's really not my top choice. It's not even my fave safety tbh and I am unsure if I will attend if I am accepted. However, I want to keep my financial aid options open just in case so I want to apply for the centennial scholarship.
I just have a question on how it works. Let's say I apply and I get the scholarship but I decide I want to go to a different school. Does all of that money essentially go to nobody? Or would they give it to somebody on a waiting list or something like that? (Sorry if this is a dumb question)
I just don't want to take money from somebody else if I'm not even sure I'm going to attend.
Hey! Does anyone know if you can break a campus view lease and how much they charge? Thanks
Hi! So I am taking POSC 295 or know as research methods and I need to start brainstorming ideas since we have an assignment coming up and I have no idea what I want to do. So I was just wondering if anyone who has taken the class or anyone at this point just had some ideas that were easy and manageable.
There are lots of rumors this week about ICE activity in and around Harrisonburg. Very little has been confirmed. If you're interested in being helpful to the undocumented community, here are some tips:

Did any current students go to JMU Choices for admitted students? If so, is it worth it? For context, I've already taken a tour but JMU is among my top choices and I'd love to hear more about specific programs, how to maximize opportunities for aid, check dorms out, etc. Would love any thoughts, thanks!
I’m a second semester transfer who is trying to get out of my apartment more (mainly because i’m dealing with noisy neighbors who make it impossible to study). where are the most relaxing/peaceful places to sit back and do schoolwork other than rose library?
I'm interested in Urban for next semester, but I might want to have some friends over from time to time. I saw when I looked at the building that they have a "no partying" sign. I'm not planning on having any wild parties or loud music, but I probably will want to have some groups of friends over once in a while (maybe 4-6 ppl). Do they strictly enforce this rule?
Our daughter is a Freshman living on campus and she has been struggling with her classes. We're thinking she should drop a class, which would bring her down to 10 credits. Is there any rule where on-campus students have to carry a full-time student course load (12 credits or more)?
Does anyone know how competitive it is to get an apartment on Grace? I’ll be a sophomore next year, not sure if that matters. I also signed the live on again contract pretty much immediately after it was released. And I have a group of 4 people already.
Looking for easy gen eds with easy professors. Don’t care about “look for a class you’ll enjoy” nah just need easy As with professors that won’t make class hell. Already took a class in Visual and Performing Arts. Preesh
Would applying for the summer provide any better chance of acceptance transferring after 1 year at a 4 year college? (2.8 in hs, 1240 SAT, 3.7 in college)
Hi! I'm an incoming freshman but with my gen ed's covered already. I know I'll have to do a semester of prerequisites before applying. If anyone has gotten accepted to the nursing program and has any tips for being admitted, please let me know!
Thanks so much!
ik you have to stay on campus but are there suites/jack&jills/just like the basic dorm? what are the best dorms and why? i’m a marketing major in the fall but idk much about the housing so advice would be appreciated

hi! im a rising college freshman and i just got accepted into the jmu honors college! i’m a student from northern va planning to major in justice studies. i’m not completely sold on jmu, but it’s one of my top choices, so can someone tell me the pros and cons of jmu? thanks!
I'm currently considering a TT job offer from JMU. I want to get back to Virginia where my family is from and the department seems great (for confidentiality I won't disclose which one). The university seems financially stable, but you guys would know more than me. How is the work-life balance and culture?
I understand the Duke For A Day is geared towards smaller groups, but of those that may have experienced both, or perhaps know more about each, which did, or would, you prefer?
I got mine
