Any local recommendations?
Hi everyone!
I have moved permanently to Minnesota within the past year and am on the hunt for an eye doctor in Minneapolis or St. Paul. Anyone have any suggestions? Thank you! :)
Minnesota's economic growth rate has been sluggish, with the state's real gross domestic product (GDP) growth in 2023 at 1.2%. This was the 45th best performance among all states, and the US grew at more than double Minnesota's rate.
I see this has been asked about a while ago, but wondering if there might be some new awesome spots. My wife is celiac and we'll be visiting in the next few months. Just wondering if there are any places we HAVE to check out. Appreciate the help!
Hey all! I've worked at the university of minnesota for about a year and my insurance coverage is pretty decent. I was wondering what plan you signed up for for insurance that you've been the happiest with??? We have medica vantageplus right now and I just feel as if they aren't covering as much as I would like. Thank you!
Does anyone have any used moving boxes they are trying to get rid of? It’s been surprising hard to find some. Online services are basically the same cost as new boxes. I just want to reuse and save some money. Thanks.
I have struggled with in-grown toe nails forever. The pain is starting to get unbearable. Any recommendations ? How do I go about this ?
Any recommendations for Indian buffet that's open on Thanksgiving?
Humans: I am needing a killer nail salon as I am long overdue and do not want to hike to my hometown for a set. Any salons or nail artists you swear by that does a great gel almond shape vibe? Nothing crazy, no designs. Just wanting a rich brown chocolate set. Preferably in Bloomington, Richfield, or Edina. Thank you all :)
What shelter can I bring these cats too? I took them home because they are so sick and i’ve given them a bath and food. My sister is going to take one, but I don’t know what shelter to bring the other one. There about 8-10 weeks old. I felt bad just leaving them there because they were going to die in the cold:( the lady at the farm was thankful for me and my sister to take them but i’m unsure what the next steps are to take.
Hey Neighbors :)
What tips/tricks have you learned in your time here? What things should I get, like: supplies for emergencies, snow tires, necessary attire, things for home winterization, etc.
For context: I've lived in places that get their fair share of snow, and have (successfully) navigated freeways/roads with thick ice. However, those locales lacked the necessary infrastructure to deal with inclement weather, and everything is just shut down instead.
Hi, me and my partner are looking to move to Minnesota, and are considering the minnetonka, excelsior, deephaven area. We have a 5 year old kid as well. Any experiences living here as a queer and/or trans person?
Hey yall. I'm doing summer classes to try and save some money on a 4 year engineering major. Can anyone recommend any community colleges for higher engineering classes in the eagan Mendota area? Thanks yall.

I live in Saint Paul proper. There is a momma cat and her 2 kittens that are stray, and seem to identify more with my household than our neighbors. I already have 2 cats, and can’t be the home to any more. I’m worried for their health over the winter, but again, I don’t want to domesticate them.
What are the best ways to deal with these cats in a humane manner?
The 2 kittens are a few months old I’d guess- medium size. The momma started showing up a few months ago. We’d see her around, but never interact. Yesterday, momma stood at the base of our steps outside and was yowling for our attention…. Like…”please take me in”.
The momma’s demeanor from the start seemed like a cat that had been domesticated before, but again, we’ve never physically interacted, and it’s hard to tell with some cats.
Any help or guidance is appreciated :)
Looking for opinions on Thanksgiving meals from grocery stores! Has anyone gotten the Thanksgiving meal from Kowalski's or Lunds & Byerlys? There's only 4 of us this year and trying to make it easy! TY!
Are there any camps or activities around for those weeks? I have to work, and the school isn't offering daycare as they would for other days off of school. Any good camps or other options?
Been really getting into pickleball lately. I know there's tons of great outdoor parks and courts, but as it gets cold here, what are my indoor options?
hi, recently rescued a turtle and want to take him to the vet to get some basic information and make sure he’s ok since he was found in pretty stressful circumstances (almost dead from cold after someone abandoned him by the lake 😭). i know he wil need to be seen by someone with experience in exotic pets / reptiles but that is a pretty broad category so looking for more specific recommendations. thanks!
There was a vendor at twin cities con that was selling these nice magnetic wooden dice trays and towers, does anyone know the name of the vendor
Hey everyone,
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good car auction place. I’m looking for used cars in the $4,000–$6,000 range, but it’s been challenging. I’ve tried Craigslist, Cars.com, Carfax, and some local used car dealers, but most of the options have around 200,000 miles, and they’re still asking $6,000 for cars as old as 2006. Maybe that’s just the market these days.
I also heard you need a dealer’s license to buy from auctions, which complicates things 😭. I’m considering looking around more or maybe settling for something on Facebook Marketplace, but if anyone knows where I can find a good, reliable car that won’t require constant trips to the shop, please let me know!
Thanks in advance!
Was hoping Costco would have some but they don’t. Looking for anything sushi or sashimi to go stores
I would like to go shooting and I don't really want to be surrounded by trump politics. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks for the replies- I am not super crazy on where gun culture has gone. It's a second amendment right. I grew up on a farm, a gun is a tool to me, and not my personality and I prefer to not be around people where guns are their personalities.
I appreciate the responses, thanks, and much love.
The multiple gynos I've seen at Methodist's Women's Center have just told me to take birth control. I am looking for someone who will actually order labs and get to the bottom of it!
Hey everyone! I (F22) am turning 23 in 2 weeks and I told my friends that I don’t want presents this year but want to do a fun activity or experience. I am having a hard time coming up with ideas. I would love to go snow tubing but I don’t know if we will have snow at the time, I do like drinking but I don’t want that to be the main activity. What suggestions do you have for a fun girls 23rd birthday activity in the metro! Thanks in advance :)
Is there a place to buy elk meat anywhere in the Twin Cities area?
As tomorrow will be a day to honor those that served I have been wondering if there are events in the cities open to the public that one could attend? I was reminded recently of the few WWII and Korea veterans still alive and given their age I’d like to voice the fact that someone from a younger generation recognizes and thanks them for all they have done for their grandchildren’s generation and beyond. I’m open to all events regarding tomorrow’s celebration, it would be an honor to meet one veteran of the greatest generation if possible. Thank you in advance for any information and thank you to our veterans!
