The title basically says it all. I’m from Faribault and cannot legally buy cigarettes. Anyone know of a place that might sell to me?
I’m from Texas and looking to buy some land along i35 near to faribault… very less knowledge on this state . Any insights into how things have changed over last few years will help me take informed decision .
I'm looking at maybe picking up a job in Faribault, got my interview Tuesday but the place has already offered me the position once before but I had some personal stuff come up that prevented me from relocating.
Anyways, just wondering what the town is like? Are there some decent food spots to check out? Any landlords to be avoided? Etc? Any information will be greatly appreciated as I consider this move.
As the title asks, are there any fun things to do as a person (late 20s) in Faribault? I hate having to always drive up to the Cities to do something fun. I don’t mind being outdoors, and I’m open to most suggestions.
We recently bought a used truck from them. Asked them about known issues with it, they said it was on the lift that day and that its was fine for a truck with that milage aside from some brake stuff.
A couple weeks later had it in shop for brake stuff and found out the frame was cracked, in a VERY obvious way. Note that this is unrepairable. The only fix a crack in a frame is to replace the entire thing.
Went back to Monkey Motors to ask them if they would buy it back. We were told "why do you think we sold the truck for such a nice price"? The manager KNEW about the cracked frame. He even personally recalled the vehicle and the issues with it. He also went on to tell me that he hears complaints about them selling bad vehicles quite often but that they should be ignored.
So a warning to everyone in the area. Monkey Motors sellings broken and crappy vehicles, and KNOWINGLY lies about it. DO NOT TRUST THEM.
Going to be in town for a week. Is there a gym that would let me just pay for the week? Or pay for the month but not require a crazy cancellation notice?
Heads up if you have a pregnant wife who went to taco bell at 130 this afternoon to get you a dragon fruit freeze. Just know she told them she was ordering it for her husband at home but DEFINITELY was holding hands with another man in the passenger seat when she pulled up. They were holding hands cause a couple in the honeymoon phase. Even more sad people there know your wife and you and confirmed 100% The man in the passenger seat was not you her husband. We thought you deserved to know.
Hey can anyone tell me what happened to the bowling alley? I saw it switched owners and is getting back up and running. Why did it fall into disrepair? What happened to the old owners? Are the ribs ok?
I mean how's the dating scene for someone just moved here?
Who is that guy in Faribault who refurbs and sells used refrigerators?
Anyone know any good spots for just messing around on a board?
I am new to this town.
I have been unable to confirm my family story about an antique woolen blanket with a Faribault Woolen Mills “Faribo” tag on it. Can anyone corroborate?
Grandma (92) says that back in the 1930s her mother packaged up all of the family’s unwearable wool clothing and shipped it to “Minnesota Woolen Works” (no idea of this is/was a real company or just her best attempt to remember).
Supposedly for a small fee they would wash, dye, and repurpose the wool, then send you back a woven blanket from your family’s goods.
We have the blanket and it’s wonderful! It’s clearly very old, but it looks a lot like typical Faribault blankets which are available to buy today. Grandma’s memory isn’t always 100%, so I was curious to see if anyone has heard of such a service- I had no luck confirming it in the online searching I did.
Thank you!

I see Jaguar Communications has fiber in the area. I called them the other day and it didn't seem like they provided to the area I'll be living. What are your experiences with Jaguar?
Charter advertises that their speed starts at 60 mbps. There is nothing mentioned about speed upgrades. Is 60 mbps the fastest speed Charter offers in Faribault? What are your experiences with Charter?
Any other ISPs worthwhile in Faribault?
Hi guys! I just moved to Faribault from Tennessee and I was wondering (aside from Heritage Days, which have been really fun so far) what things the locals would recommend checking out around town? I'm currently interning at the Nature Center and really enjoying it but wanted to explore the area while the weather is still really nice. I have a specific interest in volunteering for a local humane society or apiary if anyone recommends one in particular for a recent animal science/wildlife grad. Happy Sunday and hope to see you guys around!
