Pretty much the only college I got accepted into. I am not catholic but it being a catholic college doesn’t necessarily bother me much. I am a lesbian (though not super open about it, although it’s somewhat “obvious” because I’m kinda butch). I read some reviews on the university and what I’m worried about is it being filled with “peaked in hs” cliques, or being overall homophobic somehow. Does anyone have any experience with this university? It’s pretty much my only true option but I won’t be going if it’s just a waste of my time and like some people said, declining financially.
Does anyone have recommendations for a great realtor in the Winona area? We're from the area and looking for another modest single family house near the city but it's been a long time since we've done any real estate dealings around here. Thanks!
I saw a Facebook post from the fire department that the building started on fire last night. Thankfully it seems like it didn’t sustain too much damage, but does anybody know what happened?
Just went down an internet rabbit hole and wanted to share!
If you have received any political mailers from New Fund LLC, they are being funded by Jeff Larson who is the CEO of Washington DC Consulting firm the Roosevelt Group. Whose clients they lobby on behalf of include Exxon Mobile and multiple military contractors.
Hello! Anyone around here know if anyone is still selling them in store or something?
EDIT: not looking for lectures. Carts at least are mostly scentless and discreet. Being that that’s my goal, flower doesn’t exactly work the best. As well, I prefer controlling my pace, and gummies are a little too random.
Seeing who frequents the subreddit here; who are your favorite hairdressers?
I’ve had the same one since birth but, suddenly need a new one. The more opinions I hear about the local salons, the better it makes me feel. I’ll pick one eventually!
I have a few different models I’m looking for for my F150 so it may depend on who carries what but regardless looking for recommendations. Thanks!
Does anyone know what the plan is for the stretch of HWY 61/14 from Winona to I-90 that was repaved with gravel?
A friend and I are looking for long term parking. It will be around 5 days, including the weekend. Any direction or ideas will help. Thanks.
I've noticed that republican are airing political ads saying Sarah Kruger was "arrested on serious criminal offenses, but her family used their influence to drop the charges."
Just so those know, said "serious offense" was removing a neighbors fence post, supposedly.
If anyone knows what old yards are like in Winona, borders are often times crowded, with remnants of old fences, telephone poles and the likes. I believe the Krugers had been conducting extensive landscaping in the area of attention.
The claim that this is some sort of serious crime is aggregious to say the least. But as as often times the case, Republicans tend to tell on themselves and self project when attacking others.
The claim they used influence to get the case dropped is ridiculous. Especially when you consider a judge actually dropped DWI charges on a City Counsel member, a old, conservative leaning one that.. you know, backing the blue there.. Regardless, which crimes seem more dangerous?
The choice here is obvious come fall.
Do you choose the woman that represents reproductive freedom, change and new. Or the old guy, that represents a party of lies, deceit and the olden ways?
I'm wondering if anyone would be willing to help my 11 yo daughter learn to skateboard.
She just got her first board, and is still working on balance and kicking to go, but would eventually like to learn some tricks. I used to skate but it's been 30+ years since I've been on a board and I like my bones in the number of pieces they presently reside in....
I'd be willing to pay $10/hour for up to 5 hours (probably in 1 hour sessions).
I have no expectations, but I figured I would exhaust my options and see if anyone here knows of any dog-friendly housing!
Let me know!
Does anyone know the group who is protesting behind the post office at least on Mondays calling for a cease-fire in Gaza? They're out there almost every week when I drive by about 4:30 pm.
Me and my family will be coming down from the Twin Cities in October and I’m looking for a fun place to stay. A bit and breakfast or somewhere unique. Any advice would be much appreciated!
Anyone have any idea what's up with the house that's one house in from the northeast corner of Sarnia and Lafayette? It's far too much water for any sort of dehumidification cycle and if it's a sump pump they have some serious issues.
My husband and I are coming to Winona in a few weeks to visit our son at WSU, and we are looking for the best Bloody Mary. Bonus if there are ridiculous garnishments. Thank you!
Having a family gathering next summer in Winona. What are the best catering options available?
Hey everyone, my wheel bearings sound like they’re going to blow up and I would like to get that fixed asap. Does anyone know of any affordable mechanics around the area?
I'm a pretty decent driver, but the man I had today was very aloof and yelled a lot. I have a lot of good scores on my sheet, but I ultimately failed. I'm okay with failing, but I've been crying because of how cruely he treated me. I'm just hoping I can get some assurance from others that this isn't a rare experience here. Thank you 🙂.
Why have trains been blowing horns lately? I thought the city had regulations against that?
Also, regarding the overpass, can the private multibillion dollar corporations that own the tracks be on the hook for moving the tracks and arranging alternate distribution instead of making taxpayers foot the bill? Am I missing something crucial here?
pls
Anyone know of any parking spots near WSU where I don’t have to move my car every day? I couldn’t get a parking pass and dislike parking in side streets.
Just like the title says. There are private signs all over that pond, but I also noticed that there's a fishing pier there. Just wondering if the general public can fish there, or if you have to be an employee or family.
What date/time are the fireworks for Goodview Days?
Fairly recent article I read in a Winona news source online. It's about an upcoming project near the river; downtown. Supposed to have condos, apartments, and first-floor commercial spaces.
I even contacted a real estate outfit - but no response. Did the usual Google searches but no luck.
Just curious. Thanks.
