The aurora forecast is supposed to be strong tonight and the weather predicts few/no clouds.
I'm looking for suggestions of where to go away from the city lights. In the past, we've driven up to Charles Lindberg State Park for thé darkness but no luck so far in seeing the Northern Lights.
Where do you go?
I was driving on veterans and came to a stop, a cop car with their lights on passes so i shrugged it off like normal. until there was around 10~ cop cars with their lights on also on veterans. does anyone have any information on what is going on?
bad radiator and serpentine belt just needs to be placed on the rollers. currently looking for any mechanic shop or anyone with the knowledge to help me in exchange for cash. dont nobody know me out here
Mongo's was one of our favorite places to go eat. Yes, it was a bit pricey. But if you did it right, you could easily get one or two leftover meals out of it.
HuHot was essentially the same thing, but everything was worse. But they cut a bunch of the ingredient options out. I'd guess there was only about 1/3 of the veggie, noodle, and bean options. There was no extras to add (eggs, rice, etc) when you have your bowl cooked. And, maybe worst of all...no dragon ranch!! I didn't even see Sriracha there...
So disappointing that they took over such a great restaurant and didn't seem to do any research about what locals liked about it so much. The staff all seemed bored; the cooks didn't look they were having fun like the Mongo's guys did. Seemed like they knew we were all going to hate it.
I really like breakfast burritos from Gilberto's. Just thought I'd see if anyone knows if they're open on Sundays. I looked on Google and it gives their hours as 24 hours, lol.
Hey yall, I'm moving to Saint Cloud in a couple weeks to just make some changes in my life. Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico - extreme heat and struggles with mental health have kept me a shut in the last few years. I definitely want to get out more.
What are some of your favorite local/small businesses and low-cost/cost-free excursions?
Personally I'm interested in: Beginner friendly hiking Scenic nature spots Coffee Shops Bookshops Unique little stores
I am open to completely different suggestions! Definitely want to get out of my comfort zone.
Thanks ✌️
Hi All,
I was curious if anyone could recommend a good MMA (or BJJ) gym in St. Cloud? I was walking by the Gracie Jiu Jitsu downtown and it looked like the place was closed...
From Googling, the two that I could find that seem active are:
Start BJJ: https://www.facebook.com/startbjjmn/
Downtown Gym: http://downtowngymfitness.com/
Any experience with those or any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Hi! Just looking for opinions on towing companies. I appreciate any help!
Help! We have wasps around and in the house, seems like a common problem right now and some places are booked out three weeks to get help. Any recommendations on a good service? Or what I can do in the meantime?
What is the best place for vision tests and getting new glasses?
I'm new here and I've been here for a month or two, have a job and I like my co-workers but I have no friends outside of that. I've heard mixed reviews about everywhere and it's all so confusing. I want to meet new people. I'm not really into hiking or sports, but I don't mind the bar scene. I'm a queer young adult however, so I need places that are catered towards young adults that are queer. I've tried apps and they haven't helped much. I'm just really lonely and want friends.
Did anyone else get banned from St. Cloud Shittiest? If so, is there anywhere else semi-fun to join to get St. cloud updates and interaction? Thanks!
Is there one? I swear I was in one. But just checked and I’m not.
Has anyone else received a random phone call from a 651 number about purchasing property with cash? It's the same woman every time. She can't even pronounce St. Cloud right (she might've said "Street Cloud," which.... XD ) Didn't give the name of the company.
Confirmed my address and name, asked I was the owner, and offered to buy my property with cash. She said she was calling on behalf of a business firm looking to invest in the area. When I said I wasn't, she said thank you and hung up before I could ask more.
Seemed sketch. And even if it was legit, it made alarm bells go off in my head that a company is trying to buy up real estate in an effort to monopolize the area and charge crazy amounts for rent. I'd thought I'd at least warn people.
Family coming to visit and we are trying to eat healthier. I realize salads aren't necessarily that healthy after all the dressing and bacon lol. Let me know what you think.
I am thinking of leasing some space to open a co-op for crafters, beading, jewelers, leather and other artists in St. Cloud. Is there a demand? - I think yes. Can we get tenants or members? - I think so, if they are affordable. Are there spaces available? - Not in the affordability range that I can find. Not having luck in this area. Any ideas????
Anyone know a Toyota/Lexus specialist mechanic in the area? Toyota dealership won’t warranty work on a Lexus so they’re not an option, it’s an older Lexus too so need someone closer with knowledge about them. As it gets up there in age repairs are more common and driving/towing to the cities is a hassle
Hey guys,
So I am in the market for finding some docs. I finally got good health insurance, and that said I have a family history of skin cancer/cancer in general so I think it is time I find a dermatologist to star my yearly skin cancer checks anyhow I can't seem to find local dermatologists who take my insurance. Perhaps I am looking at shitty portals, but that said who do you recommend for dermatologists in this area?
I moved to St. Cloud 2 months ago for work and am looking for a new in-person gaming group. I've got experience playing and running games for D&D 5e, Powered by the Apocalypse, and Fantasy Flight's Star Wars. I'm interested in trying just about any new system as a player.
I lean more towards roleplay than number-crunching, and games I run tend to have plucky underdogs going up against authoritarians, billionaires (sometimes they happen to be dragons), and religious zealots.
I have zero tolerance for any sort of bigotry at a table I run or am a player at.
Please hit me up if you're interested or have any questions!
