Want 2 tickets to Steeling Dan (Steely Dan Tribute Band) at The Freight House in Stillwater on Friday 1/24? I can’t go anymore so PM me if interested!

Hi!
I will be having my Bachelorette party in Stillwater in early september and am wondering what bars are recommended we should go to and any restuarant recommendations for dinner! also wineries nearby! Looking forward to hearing recommendations!
Side note if there is a bar that does karaoke too that is a plus !
My fiancée and I are getting married in Stillwater in January and are wondering what to do about ride shares or shuttle services to help people get back to their hotels after the reception. Are there Lyft and Uber drivers typically operating in the area on a Friday night in the winter? Are there any local, affordable shuttle services available? Our venue and hotels don’t offer shuttle services.
Do you think this will change anytime soon? Why are they limiting the licenses?
"The retail sale of low-dose hemp-derived THC consumables (gummies, food, or beverages) is licensed by the City of Stillwater. The city has issued a limited number of licenses, and, as of now, all available licenses have been granted."
My friends and I are coming for 3 days the end of November. We’re hoping to do some hiking and shopping but we also like breweries, unique stores, etc. Ideas?!
I was watching the movie "Frogman" and noticed immediately that it was filmed in Stillwater. It's a very low budget found footage movie, but I thought it was neat that it was filmed in Minneosta.
Any neighborhoods with lots of Halloween decorations or any houses in particular worth checking out?
Moving to Stillwater by years end, planning on sticking around for a long time so I'd like to get involved in the community somehow, volunteering perhaps?
Hi all!
I moved here about a month ago for work. I’m a few blocks from downtown on north hill. I’ve noticed that every weekend is like a non-stop party (ok…exaggerating a bit). But my street is lined with cars, people walking everywhere, live music all day. I’m already sick of listening to and encountering drunken a-holes on my 2 days off. It’s almost pointless trying to grab a coffee downtown mid-morning as there’s a line out the door everywhere. Clearly, these aren’t locals and all of my interactions with people that actually live here have been lovely. Does the party ever end? Do weekends here become more locally focused when it gets cooler out?
anyone know if it’s closed or still accessible?
Looking for any information about an old adoption around 1960, last name Monroe, would have been a brother and sister that were adopted and Stillwater was hometown, any information would be appreciated
My husband and I (elder millennials, no kids, 2 dogs), are strongly considering the Stillwater area as we would like to relocate from the south to the upper midwest.
We would love to get a sense of Stillwater from locals. Do you find there’s a strong sense of community and a lot of ways to get involved and put down roots? Or is it more insular and hard to break in? Do you find there’s plenty to do? I’d love to hear your experiences.
We both work from home, so we want to make sure that the place we land has plenty of opportunities to meet people, make friends, volunteer, and get involved. We enjoy things like hiking, native plant gardening, lectures, film, dog parks, board games, book clubs, etc.
I’m a native Wisconsinite (sorry 😂), so we’re ready for winter, but we do like to stay social and occupied no matter the weather.
Thanks in advance!
I'm planning a friend's bachelorette party and I'm trying to find a place for all 8 of us to stay for a weekend in Jan/Feb. We're hoping to find something that's close to downtown, as we have some downtown activities planned. Anyone have AirBnB, VRBO or other rental suggestions or recommendations? I have had a handful of friends have bachelorette parties in the area but nobody can recall where exactly they stayed and I'd love a rec!
Has anyone else noticed a strong gasoline smell near manning or 17? It’s been like this for about a week now. Is there some leak?
Is Brown's Creek Trail open? As in is it free from flooding and construction.
I am visiting from out of town and hoping to slowly run a marathon distance on it and the Gateway State Trail tomorrow.
Anything else I should be aware of such as restrooms and water stations?
Thanks in advance. Family has kept me from doing my own recon.
Hey everyone!
I am currently planning a fun little weekend for my partners 26th birthday. What are some fun things to do in the area? We love outdoorsy stuff, quirky places, dive bars, great food, museums, oddities. We are going to go to a Loons game in St. Paul on Saturday and we will be going to a show on Friday but we have downtime in the mornings and afternoons!
If you guys could helo me out with fun stuff going on that weekend that would be great!
