Break the Bubble a meetup group that draws big crowds to brewery taprooms, (large) coffee shops, etc. Our next event is Thursday (12/5) at Rail Werks Brewing. No fee to attend, just show up, put on a nametag, buy a drink, and start chatting. It's that easy! See you soon!

Heading to HeadFlyer for the night if anyone wants to join!
I’m looking for small, cute coffee shops that are nice places to fey a drink and study. No chain places just locally owned businesses:)
Any breweries or things to do that are confirmed to be open today?! Not from here and don't have family around. Looking to find something to do today!
F1 Minneapolis 🏎️
The Local downtown is hosting a F1 watch party this Sunday for Qatar. Doors open 9:45AM central! Race starts at 10am. Vroom vroom.
Not into formula 1 (yet)? Watch drive to survive on Netflix this weekend!
My partner and I will be there and hoping to establish a more downtown watch party routine for next season!! Looking to find more friends who like F1
Looking to meet up for chess games at Rosedale Center this evening. Anyone welcome.
I'm 22 and have OCD, which sometimes makes me lose touch with reality but it's been a lot better recently. It's hard for me to make friends with "normal" people for various reasons, but I am an outgoing, witty, friendly person after I overcome my shyness and I like nature, drawing, sticker collecting, and talking about philosophy.
Not only am I looking for friends but I am specifically wondering if one of you would like to spend Thanksgiving with me at the Como zoo? It's the only thing open and they have a food place which I can pay for.
Feel free to DM me. Especially if you wanna do the zoo. 🥹
Hey Everyone, I have a small hiking club with a few friends. We occasionally add others and I mentioned it once on here. There seemed to be a great deal of interest so I am offering this to my fellow Twin Cities friends who may want to come on a hike and meet others.
Where: Old Cedar Ave Bridge Trailhead: 9551 Old Cedar Ave S, Bloomington, MN 55425
When: Sunday, December 15th at 10am.
We will cross the cedar pedestrian bridge and hike along the river for 3-4 miles. Feel free to DM me with further questions. I am a 37M.
Edit: December 15th not 16th. A Sunday.
If you get tired of hanging out with your family this week take them to see some comedy and let the performers berate them!

Break the Bubble (BtB) is a meetup group designed to help you make new friends, or just share a drink with other folks. It's great for newcomers to the area, but also anyone just wanting to get out of the house and socialize. There's no cover charge, just the price of your drinks.
BtB is often at breweries, but the Friday event is at a taproom that also serves coffee in the morning. (It's a morning event because it's Black Friday.) Check it out!

I’d really like more (or a) guy friends. I had guy friends throughout school, but from college on, I haven’t really met guys who I consider a best friend. I think why I’m so bothered by this, is because I don’t know who I would ask to be my best man, or even groomsmen, if I were to get married. Additionally, I find myself jealous of guys whom others might see as being in a bromance. I don’t want anything sexual (although I am bi) but I want a guy friend who I can be vulnerable around, who will give me a hug when they see me, who isn’t afraid of something “looking gay”, and someone that will be there for me as I would be there for them. I realize all this takes time, but I don’t know, I’m kind of hoping maybe I’ll luck out and connect with someone. I had one best guy friend as a young adult, but I kind of ruined that because I struggle with jealousy. The thing I like about him was that he was funny, nerdy, easy to talk to, and of course we had similar interests.
Things I enjoy: Video games, tv/movies, going out for food/drinks, traveling, and I do my best to workout through taekwondo, and occasionally, lifting weights. I watch some anime, I’m still obsessed with kids shows from my childhood, I enjoy going to Twin Cities Con when they have actors from Power Rangers. Movie wise I enjoy marvel/dc, fantasy, and horror. Video games: I have a Switch and PS5 - I enjoy Zelda, Assassin’s Creed, Resident Evil, Skyrim, Mario kart, Fenyx Rising, Mario Party, Pokémon, Animal Crossing. I also like animals.
Mostly looking for guys my age but open to younger.
I’m 25m from the north suburbs; I don’t like bars or clubs; my hobbies are things I mainly do myself (like watching movies/video games) so I don’t have a 3rd place to go, and I work full time. Where’s the best place to meet people? I’m not approaching strangers in a gym or grocery store, but there doesn’t feel like a natural place where I can feel comfortable and meet new people. Is anyone in the same boat or is it just me?
This is an open invite to join me at the St Louis Park Dreamers Vault Friday, November 29th to play boardgames. I will arrive around 6pm and play 15-30 minute games with whoever is there. At 7pm we'll decide what longer games to play. You'll know me by my bald head, bushy beard, and Costco/Ikea bag of games. I will be in the front room with the windows facing the street.
I've seen a lot of "looking for friends" posts on this subreddit and that is what this is about. I make a point to bring both simpler "welcoming" games for people new to non-mass market games as well as more complex games for the veterans. The regular attendees tend to bring their own games as well so we always have a lot of choices (maybe too many sometimes).
If you've attended before and you'd like me to bring a specific game, let me know here and I'll make sure to put it in the bag.
I will be wearing a maroon/navy blue knit sweater and beanie, I have a high table in the main seating area across from the empanada booth with cribbage boards laid out to easily find me.
Whether you are an experienced shuffler or would like to learn (it’s super easy!), stop on by and play some individual or team rounds!
I typically bring a few boards and decks of cards, but if you have any unique sets you’ve been aching to break out, please bring them!
This meetup is a ‘show up and go’ at your leisure, so if you can’t make it right at 2, that’s totally fine.
As usual, please comment or dm if you’re planning to show up, so I can account for a table size and number of boards needed! I will be posting a table location about 15 minutes prior to the start time.
See you there!
Nicknamed: Catalina Whirlyball Mixer
After a year hiatus, I decided to bring back another Whirlyball Pickup Game open to the public
The game is a blast as it combines lacrosse, basketball, and bumper cars. Very easy to learn.
Details:
Who: Open to the public.
When: Wed Dec 4th at 6:45 (time starts at 7:00)
How Many: 20 this time. Rotating 10 playing and 10 hanging out/mingling.
How Long: Booked for 2 hours
Where: Whirly Ball – Bloomington
How: We decided to just rent out a court, take the cost and divide it evenly for 20 people and use process the split as a "ticket purchase" (Not trying to make a profit. Just cost of rink booking divided by 20 people... super cheap at $23.50 for 2 hours)
Facebook Event: https://www.facebook.com/share/SJKAUF6vsji97YW5/
Ticket to Reserve Spot: https://buytickets.at/catalinawhirlyball/1458357
Happy to answer any questions.
Looking for people in their 30's or early 40's who might want to meet at a place like the ridgedale library in west suburbs for cribbage or 500?
27F and I am looking to start a romantacy book club. My guilty pleasure is books like ACOTAR and Fourth Wing and none of my friends share this interest. Let me know if you’re interested!

I’ve(24f) never been to a rave before, and am a little nervous to go completely by myself. It’s going to be tomorrow night 2916 Lyndale avenue south “Katharsis: an eclectic dance ritual” starts at 9pm admission is 10$, and it’s also going on Friday night as well. I’d be happy to have company, either a small or large group. Whoever is interested, or if you have any tips for a first time raver I’d be very grateful.
Hey yall! I'm a 30 year old guy, just moved here a few months ago and I'm struggling to find people to hangout with on occasion! I'm sober, don't play video games or DND. I like going out and trying new restaurants, going to concerts, and honestly anything else that's random, outside of drinking and games lol oh and I'm always down to enjoy someTHC (drinks or smoking) I work a hectic retail schedule, but I'm usually down to get out of the house for a bit most any nights!
My wife and I are coming down from the north woods, never been to Mystic Lake. Just wondering if anyone else is going to be there.
Hey all! I'm a 29M from the cities and I'm looking to see if there were any cool open art meetup groups or people that would be interested to get together and create some stuff. Doesn't have to be a collab or anything, but I think being around likeminded people could be super beneficial for improving and expanding the social circle a bit. Thanks!

33F here, my husband and I just moved up from Alabama a couple months ago and so far I have only made one friend, she is awesome, but she works during the day and her kids have after school activities, so hanging out now that summer is over is nonexistent.
I worked full time for 13 yrs straight and needed a break for my sanity, so I currently have absolutely nothing at all to do during the day while my kids are at school.
I'm pretty chill, go with the flow kind of person. I like to read, binge watch shows, im a huge foodie and love to try new things. I have a husky that loves going on nature walks (Cant promise i wont complain a bit though, but I do it for my husky). I do crochet a bit, and occasionally needle felt, I do have a somewhat active crafty side. I adore Pints and paints events but don't have anyone to go with up here yet.
Just trying to make new friends somehow since I am typically stuck at home (my hubby's car broke down not long after we moved so he uses mine to go to work). But I still wNt to meet new people. If you are willing to give me a shot, feel free to DM me, we can have conversations and see if we click!
Hello! 35f here seeking a local book club. I work from home and all of my coworkers live all over the country so they are not helpful for getting out of the house! I’d love to find a local group that meets for a drink/food/coffee.
I generally read literary fiction or fantasy but I’ll read anything.. I live in Mpls but happy to meet anywhere in the metro.
I (28F) love to game on PS5 but I have no friends to play games with. My partner is a PC gamer and most games are not crossplay, unfortunately. (We are playing Wayfinder together which is the first game we both enjoy that's crossplay)
My friends play fortnite or COD, and I mainly play RPGs but am trying multi-player games. I recently got into PubG (ik ik but it's fun despite all the cheaters on there) I prefer it more than COD mainly because I don't like fast paced games. I tried Apex, but again it was too fast paced.
I'd like to connect with other gamers who play more 'chill' games that are compatible with ps5. I'm open to new games!!
Some of my favorites are Horizon, The Witcher 3, Assassin's Creed, and Hogwarts Legacy. I do enjoy open world, progressing/leveling up, and not opposed to different style of games.
If you have any game suggestions for crossplay games to check out with my partner, I'd appreciate it as well!!!

That said, I’m excited to share that I’m co-producing and co-hosting a show this Thursday at Whitey’s Saloon! If you’re able to make it, we’d love to see you there. Of course, don’t forget to check out some of the other incredible shows happening around town.

Pool halls and bowling alleys in the Twin cities that play modern music!?!? ive visited some locations and they either don't play music or just country.
