Hi! I’m moving to Chaska soon for work, and I’m curious about what to do in the area/how to find friends here (mostly the second). I’ve heard good things about curling here, and I also want to try a community band and a book club at the library if there’s one? I know that’ll all be a lot, but just seeing my options here.
I'm hoping they've got a lot of good stuff and are decently sized. Do they have an Asian isle with Korean goods?
Hi all,
I’m a remote worker staying with my parents for a few weeks. Their internet is a bit spotty after this morning’s storm. What are the best remote work spots in the area? I’m open to coffee shops, libraries with tables/chairs/couches, or any other public space ideas. Thanks in advance!
We are out, near 41 & Engler, who else is without power? That storm was nasty.
My daughter failed her driver's test on Monday and we are desperately looking for a spot opening. We have tried staying up until midnight on multiple occasions and haven't had any luck. We live in the chaska area and I am willing to drive to Rochester at the farthest. I just want to be able to get this booked for her so she can stop driving her crazy over it. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated! 🙏
I see very little at Lake Ann in Chanhassen
Anyone hear the rumors about a Korean restaurant coming in to Chaska?
Does anyone know the visitor number for Northstar men's regional treatment center in Shakopee? The numbers I have are no help.
Just moved here from California and I need to find where I can get groceries at the cheapest price in Chaska. We have been going to Coopers and shopping the sales but regular priced items are expensive and their produce section is lacking. Any ideas? Thanks!
URGENT CALL TO ACTION
Next Tuesday the Carver County Library Board will meet to discuss and decide if they are going to ban a book from the library's collection. I plan to be in attendance and speak during the public input portion of the meeting (which happens before this agenda item) and urge the Board to support the decision of the professional library staff, support the freedom to read, and to fight censorship. I truly hope that many of you will join me to show that Carver County is inclusive and tolerant of those who may not look or think just like us. Diversity makes us stronger!
Background: a patron (rumor has it a member of Moms for Liberty) submitted a request for reconsideration for an award winning, adult graphic novel "Gender Queer: A Memoir." Per Library policy, professional librarian staff reviewed the book, including looking at professional reviews and the national awards it has won, and determined that the book was appropriate to be maintained in the adult nonfiction collection.
At the August Library Board meeting, a sizable and vocal group showed up and used the public input time to demand that the Library Board overrule the Library's decision and ban the book. Now that decision will be made next Tuesday. I previously worked for the Carver County Library and this is the first time the system has come this close to a book ban.
If you care about progressive ideals and the freedom to read... the idea that a parent and ONLY a parent may decide what their own child reads or checks out from the library... and the idea that the library should have materials that reflect and speak to ALL our residents I urge you to join me to speak up against censorship. We need voices and bodies their to SHOW that Carver County is an inclusive and diverse place... that Carver County residents will come together to support each other... even if we look different, or love different, or don't identify our gender the same way.

Hi guys,
I’m from MA and looking to move to MN because ma is just way too expensive and I can’t live comfortably with my family of four. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I am already use to the snow, tho I know it might be a bit colder than Boston and maybe more snowy lol but at least I got some experience behind me in that aspect.
I work remote and my husband bartends so would be looking for a bartending job out there.
Thanks!!
I don't need any hookups or anything. Self sufficient 40' 5th wheel with solar. I'm in town to clear out my storage - so in and out. Just looking for an open field or something willing to pay.
Let me know what you have!
I have my driving test at Chaska next week, and when I went there last week to check the place, I saw that there was construction going on near the DMV.
Has anyone recently taken the road test at Chaska? Any suggestions for the road test route? will they ask us to drive on the freeway? will they have us parallel park between the poles or between cars?
Thank you in advance for your help!
Hey Guys, Ill be moving to Chaska this summer. I was wondering if anyone has a room to sublet for 2 people in an apartment complex
Greetings, I do not live in Chaska however I have been extremely fascinated & moved by the story of Chaska resident Anna Westin and her family. So this is a random question but did anybody here ever meet her and if so what was she like? I apologize if this goes against any guidelines here I have just been really deep into this story for some time and would like some anecdotes.
Good morning! I just accepted a job in Chaska (yaaay) so I'll be relocating there. Does anyone have any suggestions for good landlords that accept tiny dogs?
My wife has told me that a lot of dogs have gone missing/ran away in the chan/chaska/shakopee area. Keep a look out!
