Despite a disastrous season, let’s all share our favorite moment this season with our team in teal. Just any moment from this season that you absolutely loved.
Mine was being in the arena, Section 215, for their win over the St Louis Blues on April 6th! Eklund’s hat trick, Cooley’s first win, Graf’s debut, first time seeing a win with my mom (a San Jose native who’s been with the Sharks since the very first season) was such an awesome moment. I loved the absolutely electric environment when Eklund finished that hat trick with the game winning goal. It was an awesome day to be in the Shark Tank.
Honorable Mentions: Erik Karlsson’s return on November 4th, Sharks/Blackhawks on March 23rd when I got to treat my dad (a Blackhawks fan) to his first ever game, and my first in person win, Blackwood’s first Shark shutout against the Seattle Kraken on January 30th.
Share your favorite moments from this season!
Cole Eiserman looks absolutely insane rn. Sooo quick & fast with flawless skating. James Hagen (2025) looks damn good as well.
Honestly after that talking to early on in the season I was so far out on Quinn I wanted him gone then and there. As the season progressed I thawed and started to like him a bit, and thought he would get one more year especially with late season surges from younger players. But he's out now and we move on.
Who do we want to step into those shoes? It seems like we have been in coaching purgatory since Mclellan left and I think we could use not just stability but consistency in that position.
My initial thoughts is that I would not hate seeing Worsofsky get it. He knows the guys already, he's built relationships and I think it's his time and if we don't promote him than he will surely go elsewhere
Vegas would later bitch so much the NHL allowed the Blues to headhunt the Sharks out of the playoffs in the WCF.
Like rubber sharks just aren't cool, but could work. I thought of fake seals, but that's like a negative nod to the California seals. I jokingly thought about chum. Lol. They could do a really cool after the game win graphic on the ice lol.
Anyway, what are some ideas of things that could potentially become a tradition of one were to align the stars?
Hey everyone! This is Alex aka Apache, sole owner and proprietor of East Side Stitched Jerseys. Now that the dust has cleared a bit and I have an action plan for the future, it’s time for a proper explanation about what happened.
At the end of Feb, I woke up from a nap to find my stitch account had been suspended. No warning, no explanation. I followed the instructions to file an appeal, but wouldn’t hear back from anyone for about 3 weeks. IG finally responded saying the team had filed an intellectual property complaint on my account(basically for their logo being everywhere. They can technically do that to anyone, but they used that against me, more on that later) and were forced to delete my account. This was a huge blow to my business and moral. I was lowkey depressed and felt lost. Wasn’t sure if I should continue, make a new account, fight the complaint, etc. It was a very dark and confusing time for me. This also brought my productivity almost to a stop. My stitching is my main source of income, and without it I had to ask my part time job(where I only worked 1-2 days) for more hours which of course cut heavily into my stitch time. I stopped going to games, I lost my passion for the team and the sport, ngl. Slowly but surely through the support of all you wonderful people who showered me with love, I crawled out of that hole and am now in full rebuild mode. Things have to be different of course, like never naming the team by name or showing their logos anywhere, which sucks because that sucks all the creativity and community aspect from what I do, which was the part I loved the most.
As to how it happened, I only have a theory, but I’m about 80% sure this is what happened:
When the Cali Fin jerseys were revealed, they hit close to home as they had Hispanic aspects to it and being Mexican myself made me feel seen. Something I did different with this jersey drop was selling them myself. I have sources that I could get those jerseys cheap enough to where I could make some money and save my customers money vs buying them direct for the team. I sold about 40-50 jerseys under that campaign, making about $20 for myself on each deal and saving my customers about $30-40. Win win right? The sale came and went and I didn’t think much of it after. Then the ban hit. Later on, I heard that a certain podcast had shouted me out when doing their coverage of the Cali fin jersey. Like “yeah great jersey! Go buy one! At the sharks store or even through Essj!” They of course meant well and I don’t blame them whatsoever. This show is watched by many sharks employees and so I believe the complaint spawned from there.
It was a dark moment but I’m fully embracing the rebuild. Huge thank you to everyone who has shown support and an even bigger thanks to those who have pending orders with me. Your patience is super appreciated.
I’m taking the next 3-4 weeks to catch up on all current orders and expect to start taking new commissions mid May.
Thanks everyone! If you have any additional questions feel free to hit me up on the new account @ ESSJerseys
Edit: for those looking for better jersey content, follow my collection account: @ ApachesJerseys where I’ll be showcasing my collection of jerseys, vintage hats, and some shoes. I can’t show logos on my stitch account so the content there will be a little dull. I’ll be posting much better content on the collection account.
I've heard that san jose is really expensive. Anyone know where the players live and what a typical ahl salary is?
I heard rumors his IG was taken down and still doesn’t seem to be back. Wonder if anyone here knows him and if former customers would want to help make a more stable website? I always loved his work and loved helping a local business.
That’s all I got to say about that.
Edit: Saying I hate Hertl is satire, but at the same time, he waived his nmc to go to the golden knights. Kind of a slap in the fans face.
I ordered the plate 10 months ago in July way before the season started. It's hard being a Sharks fan all the way down in San Diego, but at least I can rep the team here.
GMMG recently made some comments he’s not decided on Quinn’s future. If he lets him go who would you want to replace Quinn?
There is a new commercial for the Stanley cup playoffs this year, which I hope you guys will enjoy as much as I did
This thread is for folks to try and sell or buy tickets or merch that others post within. Have some swag to sell? Tickets? Jerseys? Autographs? Pucks? This is the place to do it! I would hope that everyone that takes part will be honest about what they are selling and/or buying. Please keep in mind that this is AT YOUR OWN RISK and /r/sanjosesharks and /u/ibcfreak take no responsibility for sales or purchases made within this thread.
During the regular season and playoffs ALL for sale or looking to buy threads will be removed from the front page and you will be redirected to this weekly thread if you are looking to move some merch.
This will be a weekly thread so check back in next week to see if anything interests you!
MG gives us some insight on his offseason plans. I like how he's not looking to commit to long term deals. Trust the process!
For example, I know they wouldn't do it, but Trouba is considered overpaid and he does hurt guys, but his overall game is solid. If we had a top line with him and Ferraro that would be significantly better than what we have now.
I'd love to see us go after a defenseman that allows more of our you v guys to fit their roles better. Same with too line players.
*Again, I'm not saying this is a great idea, just one to get the conversation started.
Every Sunday memes will be allowed on the front page! Feel free to post your favorite memes. Every other day they will be removed. Feel free to post them in the GDTs, the PGTs, and in comments though! During the offseason the rule does not apply so feel free to meme it up and shitpost away!
