My son is dying to see Askarov play, but I see he started yesterday against the Eagles and lost.
We were wanting to attend the game today, but now he’s bummed because I think it’s probably Romanov starting the 2nd game of a back to back.
So I put it to the greater minds of Reddit - any chance we see Askarov?
Why is the sharks/devils game blackout on espn+ today?

Hey there,
Can someone give me an idea of what this event will actually be like? Is it going to be a scrimmage between all of the legends coming? I read that they're retiring Thornton's number and doing thr ceremony on the 23rd before playing Buffalo so I don't really get what's going to happen on the 22nd.
(I don't follow hockey; I'm just trying to buy tickets for a fan's bday)
Thanks in advance!
Hey friends, I wanted to know if there’s a good spot to get Sharks pro stock or used sticks in the Bay Area. Thanks!
The season is far from over but just thinking about the future towards the trade deadline and next summers free agency what are some moves you’d like to the sharks make that would move them in the right direction. If it’s signing one of the top name free agents or do you think it’s to soon in the rebuild to pay big money in free agency. I do believe next summer eklund can get lock in for an extension. What do you think that extension looks like 8X6?

He’s someone I wanted to trade for in the off-season.
I love Goodrow but he has to play better. He's been slacking this whole season, especially in their own ice.
Hey fellow Sharks fans. I wanted to know if there was a hockey oriented site like how the Ringer obsesses over the NBA. Would love to know more X’s and O’s and read about surprising players and teams. Does this site or sites exist?
Looking at some under the hood numbers for Sharks defenseman and I feel like there are some clear tiers.
Tier 1 - Walman and Liljegren (Liljegren obviously with a very small sample)
Tier 2 - Thompson
Tier 3 - Thrun
Tier 4 - Ferraro, Ceci, Rutta
5v5 Corsi For Percentage
Liljegren - 56.3
Walman - 52.2
Thompson - 47.4
Ferraro - 44.5
Thrun - 43.2
Rutta - 42.8
Ceci - 42.7
5v5 Fenwick For Percentage
Liljegren - 56.7
Walman - 51.7
Thompson - 46.8
Ferraro - 43.7
Ceci - 42.5
Thrun - 42.2
Rutta - 41.6
5v5 Expect Goals For Percentage
Walman - 52.2
Liljegren - 49.5
Thompson - 47.5
Thrun - 45.8
Rutta - 38.6
Ceci - 37.5
Ferraro - 37.0
5v5 Scoring Chances For Percentage
Liljegren - 59.5
Thompson - 50.5
Walman - 47.8
Thrun - 41.2
Ferraro - 39.9
Rutta - 39.3
Ceci - 35.6
5v5 High Danger Chances For Percentage
Liljegren - 55.6
Walman - 51.3
Thompson - 50.0
Thrun - 47.0
Rutta - 38.5
Ferraro - 34.7
Ceci - 32.3
It's worth noting that Ferraro, Rutta, and Ceci all have the lowest 5v5 offensive zone faceoff % which could be playing into those numbers. I'd argue the philosophy of those 3 having the highest defensive zone faceoff % is poor coaching. I'd in fact argue that giving guys who struggle to break out the puck a bunch of d-zone starts is straight up counterintuitive.
In the post game interview he was asked if it felt good to score two goals on a HHOF like Flower and he just stares through them and drops "You try to score to help your team win and we didn't." Kid will only be satisfied with wins.

If you're coming to from out of town to see the Sharks play, please check out the VISITORS GUIDE for some hotels, some food ideas, and other info which may help answer some of your questions about your upcoming visit. Some basic things to keep in mind:
* Doors open 60 minutes prior to game time for general admission.
* Tailgating is **NOT** allowed per San Jose City Ordinance. However, SAP Center **does** allow you to bring food from outside into the arena with you.
* The Sharks enter the ice and skate through the Shark Head from between sections 127-128. The most direct views of the Shark Head are from sections 115-121 in the lower deck and the lower rows of 215-221 in the upper deck.
* The Sharks attack towards the lower numbered sections (103-113 & 203-213) in the 1st and 3rd periods.
* Check out THIS LINK for the SAP Center bag policy.
This will be a weekly thread, so if you have more questions come back next friday!
Been seeing a handful of posts/comments complaining that Ferraro is no good at his *checks notes* job.
I am inclined to agree.
Love the dude but, in the famous words of Warso – "..no one is above the team.."

I haven't been this excited to watch a player in teal in years. That Calder trophy better watch out.
Wow. Just wow. That d-zone turnover for the 2-1 Minnesota goal was horrific. Someone please get Rutta off the team.
