hey there everoyne. trying to do a bit of research for myself here and it would be nice to hear your opinion. What kind of fishing content are you interested in on youtube? The most ppular fishing channels i see, usually mostly show ocean fishing. I rarely see anyone use ultralight gear.
“A stopper seal is included as an accessory with some products”
What is a stopper seal?
Has anyone done this, or is there a resource? I want to fish the East/Southeast coast but am hesitant to take a guided trip with a bunch of other people and lacking honest, local knowledge and focus. I have a nice 22’ boat and could easily host a couple people for Pacific Northwest salmon/halibut/lingcod and more depending on time of year. No $$ need change hands, just an honestly good day on the water. I don’t have any dates set and probably won’t get east until next year, just “fishing”…
When I catch bass or larger fish I just hold them by the bottom lip to unhook. There are no trout in my area so I don't carry a net (and I like to travel lightweight anyway). I sometimes catch fish that have sharp dorsal spines and I just want a finger-less glove that I can quickly throw on to use when I unhook them when holding them by the body with one hand. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
So I live in bc and I couldn’t really find a solid answer In the regs I was trying to find out because there are lots of bass in the lake near my house and they aren’t supposed to be there so I thought about spearing them. Does anyone have a solid answer for me so I can figure this out? Thanks
Been wondering what knot and lines everyone's using for slow pitch jigging?
Will be doing some spj this month and it's my first time doing spj.. I currently have PE 2 8-braid as my mainline and 40lbs Fluorocarbon Leader, is this a good combo to start with?
I've been researching on what knot to use in connecting my Leader to my mainline and the knot to use on my Leader to swivel but got mixed results and still haven't got a final knot to use.
Maybe someone here who is experienced enough to give me some tips.
P.s. could also give advice on my swivel and split ring sizes

First cast of the year and first cast at a new spot
Googled it but couldn't find anything matching well enough
I beleive the title says it all, that reel handle is a peice of junk (it broke on a little bass) and im looking to buy a replacement handle so i can use it as a beater reel for my little cousin
I have no idea what to buy for it, do any of you guys?
I went to Walmart a little bit ago and they had a lot of stuff on sale especially Abu Garcia bait casters. I grabbed to one and got an Abu Garcia real for eight bucks which normally is 70 there
Advise go hit up Walmart whilst there on sale
C&R of course
Sienna was $13, trion $18, and nexave $20!! Now to find the right rods for them
Dude hit the worm like I was stuck on a branch. I actually sighed in frustration when I saw the bobber go under as I drifted with the wind.
Hi all,
So I’ve been fishing for about three years now. I do mainly sea fishing and mainly fish in the uk on the south coast. I use mainly pre made rigs like pulley rigs, flapper rigs etc and I throw them out and catch nothing. They often get snagged despite choosing supposedly clear areas and using spikey fishing weights. I never have any luck with soft plastic lures and spoons. I usually fish one or two hours before high tide and as early as I can. Last weekend I went to Hastings for those in the uk and caught nothing after hours and changing fishing spots and tactics. I am not sure how to get more consistent results. Only time I’ve consistently caught fish was in the rain in Cornwall in the evening. Otherwise it just feels like pure luck and none of technique or planning helps me catch more consistently.

I want to go on a fishing trip soon and was wonder if I should base it off of what my fishing apps say. Thanks.
