I was looking at fishing charters for what's remaining of this season, and most of them are closed for the year, don't do mix parties or are pretty expensive if you going in solo. I had this wild idea that maybe a bunch of us fellow Chicago Reddit fishing enthusiasts might want to get together on go on a fishing charter. I'm not very familiar with how these things work but it'd be cool if pull this off. Maybe someone can come up with a plan, we decide together, prioritize safety and do a fun fishing trip.

Asking to see what mini flukes and paddle tails work for walleye and saugers. Usually id ask r/fishingforbeginners but they usually dont work. Only stuff ive gotten to work was from store employees while shopping.
Short video one of the steelhead I caught today. Decent sized buck who’s probably been in for a while judging by the colors - I’ll post a crappy pic of him & the male colo I caught. Also had a hen that splashed out of my hands while i was debating on keeping it. Might go out tomorrow after this bit of rain, but I’ve got a sick kitten who cut this day short and needs my attention tomorrow
Hey was just wondering if anyone knew when boats/kayaks aren’t allowed at like Skokie lagoons or similar forest preserves?
Thank you in advance!

Planning to head down this weekend, just curious if anyone has had any luck yet. I'll either out in at starved rock or below the Marseilles dam. I grew up on pool 4 of the Mississippi and it's on fire this time of year, wondering if it's similar down here.
Anyone having luck at Waukegan harbor ? Any steelhead / trout in those harbors?
