Trail creek lake trout, fall 2015

Going through some old pictures of my dog, came across this pic that I totally forgot about. Caught this lake trout on a spinner at the firehouse on trail creek back in 2015. Never saw/heard of it before or after - had some underdeveloped skein so maybe it was going to spawn in the creek? I need the opinion of someone like professional Reddit biologist u/ballincock to display his 100% professional opinion

Guys I’ve been asked a few times to explain the Chicago salmon basics for those who want to get into it so here is something that I hope those people can benefit from to get out there and join the fishing community!

Perch Setup

Is my Medium Ugly Stick setup i have been using overkill for perch?

I’ve seen the drop shot setups most people use, I just didn’t know if the bite is too lite to feel on a medium rod.

Fishing Charter with Fellow Redditors?

I was looking at fishing charters for what's remaining of this season, and most of them are closed for the year, don't do mix parties or are pretty expensive if you going in solo. I had this wild idea that maybe a bunch of us fellow Chicago Reddit fishing enthusiasts might want to get together on go on a fishing charter. I'm not very familiar with how these things work but it'd be cool if pull this off. Maybe someone can come up with a plan, we decide together, prioritize safety and do a fun fishing trip.

Hey everyone! I hope you all are catching monsters! I posted a video about the fishing parking lots and had a lot of questions on the Pier Pass Program so here’s everything you need to know about it! I hope this video helps everyone get out there!

Rod recommendations for Daiwa Lexa Winn 300

Just got a Daiwa Lexa Winn 300, wanna serve it as a swimbait / musky reel. I already have some couple swimbait / musky rods in mind that would work but just curious to see what your guys’s recommendations are, thanks:)

Mini fluke recommendations colors and styles for 1/4 jigs that work on the fox river.

Asking to see what mini flukes and paddle tails work for walleye and saugers. Usually id ask r/fishingforbeginners but they usually dont work. Only stuff ive gotten to work was from store employees while shopping.

Indiana trib steelhead & salmon

Short video one of the steelhead I caught today. Decent sized buck who’s probably been in for a while judging by the colors - I’ll post a crappy pic of him & the male colo I caught. Also had a hen that splashed out of my hands while i was debating on keeping it. Might go out tomorrow after this bit of rain, but I’ve got a sick kitten who cut this day short and needs my attention tomorrow
