Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone in here has tested out any KastKing rods or reels. I've never really gave them a second look, I just kind of assumed it was junk, then I saw an add for their new Royale Legend Pro rods and reels. For me, it might be the best looking combo I've ever seen.
I'm trying to talk myself out of it, but it's just so beautiful. I'd like to just get a review of some of their stuff, or, better yet, that series, not only for this certain rod, but anything from them in the future. Thanks in advance
Pennsylvania state record catfish is only 66 pounds so I won’t catch any absolute monsters most likely but I can still get some big guys, what do you guys recommend?
So I got the 9 foot ugly stik gx2 medium rod at walmart for $20 and a seirra 2500 reel for it... but what do I even do with this rod?
I was thinking of slapping a slip bobber and a small hook onto and just cast a bobber rig out half a mile to the deep water crappie.
This is the second longest rod I have, but the other long rods I have are musky rods at 8f6i and a surf rod at 9f2i, but those are medium heavy or heavy rods that are pretty much broom sticks.
Right now on my everyday baitcasting setup I have 15 lb braid. I just bought 14 lb mono since it's less visible. Is it smart to replace the braid or do I need to keep the braid and use mono as a leader?
Hey ya. Looking for ideas before I screw up on my own. I’ve got a 6 ft bed with a hard cover on my truck. What’s a good holder/carrier for my rods back there? They really need to go in at an angle due to length and I don’t want them damaged by other gear…so I’m thinking the thing might be to suspend them.
I bought a Calcutta conquest 200 from 2003 for 170 bucks on eBay. There are no returns. Does it sound like it’s a fair deal? Should I cancel it before it ships?
Has anyone here with a st croix premier noticed clicking coming from the guides? I’ve had this on multiple st.croix rods and I’ve returned 2 already but I went to cabelas and a majority of the st.croix rods have at least one guide that clicks when you flick/whip the rod. Just wondering how normal this is. Thanks.
Hey friends,
I have a whole load of gear that my father in law is not going to be using anymore. All fairly new, at various levels of condition from great to good. Any advice as to where and how to sell? I'll be donating a fair amount to a local fishing school as well.
Sienna $13, trion $18, and Nexave $20!! Now to find the right rods for them
Under $10/item
First Steez since owning an OG years ago. Dropped in a set of 7.1 digi gears and playing around with parts now although I think I’ll go more gold. Pairing with a Bone Voyage X 6’6” ML that’s on the way.
Need three rods: Spinning travel rod (do it all) Casting travel rod (do it all) Big game travel rod (targeting sturgeon, gator gar, sharks, etc…)
I don’t love the convergence and hoping the jdm market has some equivalents in better quality.
Also been eyeing the grappler for a traveller.
Would consider other brands aside from diawa.
I've recently gotten into the sport, both ice and boat fishing. I've been looking without much luck for a tackle backpack that also has a laptop sleeve built in, preferebly waterproof. I'm on the clock 24/7 so being able to have my laptop with me all the time is a must, but I also don't want to double my laptop backpack as a tackle bag. Any suggestions from you fine folks?
I am starting fishing and wondeirng whats good fishing gear and price helpful
I’m in the market for a new 6000 size reel to target inshore snook and tarpon. Planning to throw live bait on a 8ft heavy rod. I heard good things about the BG MQ and it’s on sale for $160 bucks right now or I could get the Spheros SW at digitaka for $110. I’m also open to other recommendations as well. Thanks!
Had maxscent plastics the same price. Walfart ain't all bad.
Preferably salt water resistant, also $250 absolute max
I have been using the one on the right for a while, I like using Bait casters but the rod doesn't have a trigger so it rolls.
Hello all. I'm looking to get a rod for a spinning reel. What are opinions on the Abu Garcia Vengeance rod vs the Shimano Sellus rod? Thank you.
I decided to work on one reel, then I grabbed almost all of them and said might as well get to it lol.
Still a few left out, a few missing or been borrowed for some years 🤣.
Few of these starting to hit the decade mark. And a few I just snatched from Walmarts clearance.
