Here's the list I just threw together based on a few videos, and here's my thinking. The areas I frequent could, quite often, require me to pull the motor up and do a little maneuvering with the paddle. So I'm trying to figure out how I can steer, see how much battery is remaining, drop the motor, pull the motor up, etc. One route is this list:
But what I'd like to know is if I'm completely overthinking it. I've seen people use a motor with the plate on the back of a catch 110, and I've seen them drop the motor in to place. But I haven't seen someone pull the motor back UP. Is there a product for that? Because I'd be happy to figure out a different battery gauge and use a tiller extension with the existing plate accessory.

does anyone fishb from a modular 2 peice kayak? I've been seeing more of them lately and wanna hear some opinions about them. likes and dislikes
I own a Pelican Catch Mode 110 and recently bought the anchor wizard anchor system. Looking for ways to install it without drilling. Is it possible to get it on the tracks?
There are a few kayaks here for less than $300 and tackle deals from a few retailers:

Just got into kayaking and after a few trips I knew the 220cm paddle that came with the boat was too small. Not to mention the sizing calculators all said I needed a 240 to 250cm paddle.
I've been watching and found this on Confluence Outdoor site today. Carbon Fiber shaft and Fiber/Aluminum head, it's a 250cm paddle and weighing in at 33oz. That's lighter weight than the 220 I have now made out of whatever material.
I hope this ends up being a good paddle for me.
i was wondering if there was a good comfortable seat that is easy to transport and fold that fits in the 2020 tucktec kayak. the seat i have now just keeps slipping so i fall backwards. also is there a way to make it easier to fold the kayak because it feels really stiff but in videos online it looks so smooth and easy.

Does anyone in here kayak fish around Eglin? I think it would be nice to fish with a new friend and maybe learn a thing or two.
Using my 7’ Penn Rampage with a damashi rig.
Hey y’all
I am interested in getting into kayak fishing on the intercostal and lakes near me in NE Florida. Unfortunately, the only vehicle I have access to to transport the kayak would be an old Accord 2dr. Based on what I’ve found online a roof rack is out of the question (too expansive to get rails on my roof, and rails that fit my car “aren’t compatible with kayak rack” - Yakimas site). So long story short do you have any recommendations for roof pads that are actually good and won’t break the bank. I found an old thread that talked about “handi racks” some inflatable roof pad thing but I couldn’t find any about them used on smaller cars. Thanks in advance.
Hi! I would like to buy my boyfriend a fish finder for his kayak for Christmas. But I do not know anything about them. I read some reviews and it seems like the garmin striker 4 is pretty good. But what else would I need to buy with it? Do I need to also get some sort of battery or mount? Some other kind of accessories? Thank you for the help!
Does anyone have a Reel Yaks modular kayak or similar modular kayak? and if so what kind of vehicle can you fit it in.
I live on the fourth floor of my apartment and the only way I could have a kayak would be if it was modular.
I have a honda civic and I would ideally like to put one half in the trunk and one half in the back seat.
If anyone has any insight that would be appreciated.
Hey guys! I'm thinking of buying a couple of fishing gear from Sportsman Warehouse. I saw on their website that they're already running some pre-Black Friday sale. The deals are pretty decent, but I was wondering if I should wait more for the actual Black Friday before buying. You know, maybe they'll have bigger discounts. Any of you bought from them during previous Black Fridays? What do you think?
What size do you find optimal for a fish finer? It seems to be between the 5 inch and 7 inch. What have you found best?
It doesn’t come with accessories rails
Looking to start kayak fishing next spring.
Question - how do you actually get to the gear in the crate behind you?
Honestly, it looks like I will struggle with the stuff behind me.
What is the secret?
Love how easy it is to customize! I made a review video on my YouTube for anyone that’s interested in hearing more about it.
I fish for fun, not for sport. I’m wondering if this kayak will be worth while until I can become serious enough to invest in another in 5-6 years. I weigh 130, so the weight limit is no problem. I’m curious about the durability. Thoughts?
