Just curious what people prefer, traditional spinner or a bottle reel on their bow?
Has anyone here used a Vader bow contemplating buying one to upgrade from my muzzy decay.
Hey I recently got a bow and was looking to get into bow fishing gar. I catch a lot of them and they are my favorite to fish for. I’m looking for something simple where I can see the gar and can get some big ones while bank fishing or in my kayak. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.
I’ve done bow fishing in Manitoba during the carp spawn for about 2 years and I’ve been playing with the idea of having my dog jump in to retrieve shot fish. To minimize having a buddy shoot the fish twice and chances of said fish ripping the arrow out of its body. Any thoughts on this, or has anyone tried?
Anyone from around west Tennessee I’m from Brownsville and fish is a local tournament series if anyone would like to join in on one of the tournaments let me know also if anyone wanna get out and shoot some fish hmu I got a boat and always down to go
I want to learn to shoot with a thumb ring and ordered a horse bow. I've only bow-fished with an old finger fired compound up until now. Just curious if it's possible.
I'm thinking mounting the reel is going to be the biggest issue. From what I've seen the whole bow flexes and is super thin compared to compound or recurve so the reel might be getting thrown all over the place and ruin the shots.
Could some kind of reel be mounted somewhere else, like on my chest or belt or something?
Looking at adding four of these to the front of my 17ft mod v Jon boat. Anyone else run something similar?
Wife got me to open an early present! New bowfishing set from ballista. Seems very well made and I read good reviews about their sets. Will test soon. Happy holidays! Ballista website
I'm in north TX for a couple of months (Wichita Falls). I'd like to jump on a guided bowfishing trip. Willing to travel 1.5 hors or so.
I won a muzzy decay from a raffle. I would like to sell it and put the money towards a different bow but offer up Facebook marketplace etc all have rules against selling weapons. Is there some where else I can sell it?
I lost my headlamp looking for a replacement. Preferably rechargeable.
Hey everyone I’ve been looking into a few starter recurve bows and need some help finding one with a draw of around 30-35 lbs Most I look at are 45 lbs and just to much for the fish I’m going for. I definitely want a recurve bow because I will be using in my canoe and need something I can beat around which is t that ideal with a compound bow. I love the Cajun bow but find that the 45 lb is too much for the lake and pond fish I would be going at. Was also looking into fun-finder bows and definitely want it as a whole ready to go kit. But can’t find too much reviews on them and the ones I do find are very mixed. And brands or input would be very appreciated thanks everyone
Hello anyone recommend a good starter recurve bow for bow fishing I’ve been looking at a few like the Cajun which I love but I find the 45 lb draw to much for the fish I’m going for I’m going to be fishing for smaller fish than these huge river monsters I see everyone else going for. I was looking at the fin-finder but can’t find much reviews on them but am willing to look into anything you might suggest. Before anyone say go compound I want to say I’m going with recurve because I’m going to be using it in my canoe and want to be comfortable with it getting beat around and still surviving
Anyone fishin?
I would order one, but they are not available in my area…unless I pay silly shipping charges. So I figured I would ask if anybody has ever made one and would care to share the process
Well, I’m in the market for another bowfishing bow. I thought trying out a lever bow would be an excellent idea, though there’s no way I’m dropping $600 on a VXM lever bow that’s going to get used and abused in the boat. I saw there were some $265 Chinese knockoff lever bows on Amazon by a company called Sharrow. Anybody have any luck with these or am I just better off not being a penny pincher?
Thanks!

A project I have been working on. Looking to build some traction. Sales aren’t up rn but it’s ok because I’m playing the long game 💯🔥
Quick trip yielded some good silvers and a couple collateral buffalo
Although I've never gone fishing in any form or capacity,
Motivated enough? Or foolish? Don't even know where to go to find fish.
