like should i cast near the bank or what rig should i use and what hook size. for bait I'll use corn

Need some tips on rolling my homemade boilies on a boilie table. I make my own and used to hand roll them but i bought a rolling table this week when I went to use it I could not get the round boilie shape. In a nut shell they either came out as a dumbbell or the just stick and spit……. Any tips greatly appreciated

Hello everyone, I am going to be fishing a downtown river in the US that I have seen very many huge carp swimming and feeding. I will be trying a hair rig with a 20 mm on the bottom and a 15 mm pop up on the top because that is what I saw recommended. What would be the best flavor boilie and pop up for this situation. Also, would I want to match the flavors of the pop up and the boilie l, or should they be different.

EDIT: I have found a local pond where there are koi, would they eat the same things? and what rig wohld I want to use

Fishing has been slow and most folks are done for the winter. After blanking several times I finally saw a carp show today. It was on the other side of the pond near some reeds. Probably only 2-3ft deep water. I put a small sweet feed pva bag on and cast all the way across the pond. Before I could walk away from the rod it was off! It had plenty of fight even though its been cold. The carp are shifting patterns for the cooler weather so we have to shift around until we find them. If you see a carp show it's probably worth making an adjustment to fish that location, especially during winter.

Hey guys i accidentaly bught 4 piece Daiwa ninja x carp (12ft 3lb) rod instead of 2 piece.The question is how much worse will the rod be (portability doesnt mather to me) ? I can still return it but im wondering if it is worth the struggle.

Update, i kept it thax everyone for help.. action is fine it is little soft for me but it is ok.

Funny thing is my first fish on that rod is pike that went for pineaple popup on ronnie rig😅

Getting towards the end of the season here… Lake temperatures dropping quickly but I went out yesterday.

Something kept stealing the tiger nuts off my hair rigs. I’d get a blip on my bite alarm, maybe a little line run out… And nothing. Reel in to find nothing on the hair.

Then I remembered that the Illinois DNR stocks this lake with hatchery rainbows about this time of year…. And tiger nuts must look enough like Purina trout chow to attract them. They just grab the tiger nuts and run… Never deeply enough to encounter the hook. I even saw one or two jump near me.

I should have brought a light spinning rig and caught a few.
