Buying Rods

Hello everyone! Could you help me please? I am considering to buy new carp rods but cant decide which one should I choose… First option would be Shimano Tribal TX-1 A 12 ft Intensity 3.5 lbs and the second option would be Fox EOS Pro 12 ft 3.5 lbs? Do you have experiences with these carp rods? If yes which one should I choose? Thank you for your help!

Boilies

I just bought a bag of CC Moore Live System boilies from Angling direct. When I opened them I noticed they had a white coloured skin and they smelt quite potent. They are a fresh pack of shelf life boilies. Does anyone know what the dusty white coating is? And are they still good to use? I feel like it may be mould but don't know why as they are a brand new bag. I'm feeling like I may have just wasted £12 😅

Is this a good starter rig for my first time trying to catch some carp? Any tips or advice will help.

Rod selection

Hi,

Can't choose between Nash Scopes or new Fox Horizon X4-S rods. I can get both for roughly the same price, but Fox's hit the market just a couple months back while Scopes are 5 or 6 years old at this point. Should I still opt for Scopes or the the X4-S?

Apologies for my post yesterday

I obviously upset alot of members here talking about killing carp, the reason I said this is due the the invasiveness of common carp killing fish found nowhere else in the world.

This short clip shows the amount of this invasive species in our waterways https://youtu.be/vAGNejZDbmE?si=8ojp0LD3cvMiF6w9

Apologies for any offence caused by my other post.

Cheeky little two hours

Went for a cheeky 2 hour fish at a local water in suburbia. Had 5 fish on total nothing big but fun on the Temu feeder rod lol…….. and no I didn’t have an unhooking mat I was fishing match style so unhooking on my lap and release from the net…… any chance we can get Australia in the flair

Need tips: 2 new fishermen on a small pond trying for big carp

in the picture i circled where we’ve fished 4 times total, with catches there 2 times. after doing some research, we’re afraid that we’re over pressuring the area and the carp may be afraid. what would be some good spots to set up, or should we move around more frequently ?

What should I put in my mesh PVA bag?

I would like to know what to put in it, any help would be appreciated!

EDIT: Should the bait inside the PVA bag be the same flavor as the hoookbait?

carp breaching water but not biting anything

This is the third time I stop at this dam (Tuckertown dam in North Carolina), and every time I come I see several common carp jumping with their full bodies out of the water. Nothing I throw gets picked up. Bread, worms, marshmallows, corn, nothing. I tried this place late summer, early fall, and now.

What is actually happening and why are they jumping? to my knowledge we are nowhere near their spawning time
