Hi, 2012 silverado unlocks doors when it is put in park. How do you access the menu to change settings like these, please? I've searched owner's manual, reddit and youtube and I'm missing it somehow. Thank you
If anyone could help it would be appreciated. I’m trying to find the pigtail that goes up to the connector for the fuel rail on the driver side. Engine was rebuilt and put back in and the pigtail was crushed between the tranny and engine. Thank you
Is there a duel clutch transmission for a ls1? And if there is what’s the name
Any recommendations?
Coming from a 2005 Grand Prix GT that I bought in ‘06 (its 2nd owner).
What has changed over the past few years on the Blazer (other than the EV, which I would love, but is out of my price range)?
Am I missing anything by going for a 5-year-old model vs something newer? I do love all the features of the Premier trim, which I probably would have to pare back to an LT on something more recent.
Hi, my radio is stuck on one station and the touch screen has stopped working completely.
I am not very car savvy. Is there anything I can do that may fix this program?
Have a 2017 Silverado, saw a YouTube video on this, but not too much details on if other parts are needed. Has anyone used one of these and know what the process is? Is it just plug and go or are addition parts needed? Opinions? Reviews?
Thanks!
Here’s a the link just in case.

I loved my ‘01 Silverado crew cab truck. Unfortunately it got totalled in an accident. I’ve retired and the wife is pretty close to retiring. So ive been looking at SUVs and the Japanese ones look good but I keep coming back to Chevs. The new Blazer looks nice but pricey. I’d appreciate some input on what to get and beware of. Thanks.
I just bought a 2022 Equinox LS. I got locked out yesterday after closing the doors because passive lock was on. When I closed the door, I assumed the passive lock wouldn't work because the key was inside the car.
Has anyone else had this issue? My last car wouldn't lock if the key was in the car, but I don't know if that's how all key fobs work. Do I need to disable passive locking to prevent this from happening again? Or should it take it to get looked at?
Dammit, Chevy. I’ve been a person that’s always hated vehicles manufacturers using “classic” rock songs in their commercials. But damn, you’ve just introduced me to Grand Funk Railroad in your latest commercial… and I freaking love it. I’ll be getting my Silverado soon… can’t wait!
Hey guys, I’m about to most likely get a 2005 Chevy Equinox with 70,500 miles on it from an elderly neighbor for my first car. Is there anything that I should be looking for or aware of? I know that the 3.6 isn’t the best motor but I just want to know what kind of things to expect besides my wallet being emptied from gas. I’m going to get a pre-purchase inspection before getting it. Thanks in advance.
Ok so hear me out, my inner fender has been loose for a while now and I ordered the part for it, unfortunately the inner fender got chewed up by my tire and ripped off while my part is being delivered and I got an engine check light right after driving for p069e which is a fuel pump control module code, is there any sort of the sensor on the left hand driver side that would cause this code to pop up, other wise it would be a crazy coincidence that it popped up RIGHT AFTER this happened
I have a 2011 Malibu that the aux port is stuck and I’m trying to replace the radio unit with a digital apple carplay display. I’m trying to find a replacement and be under 200$. I found a replacement for the second generation silverados and 2008 to 2012 impalas I wasn’t sure if it would still work for the Malibu
My ac has been acting weird lately. It's not getting as cold as it should. It would get colder going down hill but would get warmer with a dampness in the air when leveled out. I turned it off for about a 30 minute drive then back on and it started getting colder again.
Now I'm getting this. It used to show when I turned the fan up/down, AC on or off, or changed circulation from outside to recirculation. Now it doesnt respond except for the zone the air is blowing out of. I've already had it checked to see if its low on coolant. Its fine. Just don't know if this display issue is causing my AC not to be as cold as before or just a symptom of a bigger issue. Anyone ever seen this before or have any advise?
My gf was driving and about 3 miles from our house she said that the all the gauges slowly went down then the abs light came on the break then after all the lights on the dash came on so she pulled over and turned the car off and now it won’t start all the lights are on the instrument cluster and everything flickers like the lights on the dash the dome light and the lights on the temperature control could it be a bad alternator just trying to figure out what it could be
Before this the battery light would come on and then go off after driving for a bit
I am on a road trip and we rented a Chevy equinox. And thefirst half the radio was fine. But we stopped to get gas and now the radio is doing this. Is it normal? And if not how can I fix it?
Hello, I purchased a 1968 Camaro many years ago and it came with a 8.5” 10 bolt(I’m pretty sure it’s 8.5” and not the 8.6” since the ring gear is stamped gm-85-410) I was changing the oil and adding a moser rear cover and noticed there is a lot of play in the gears, much more then normal. Maybe 3/8” of play between the ring and pinion. So I believe it’s time for a nice build.
Was thinking Detroit trutrac, moser axles, all new bearings/races, seals.
For the trutrac, it’s stating some 8.5” come with smaller races/bearing and others came with bigger.
So my question is, is there any way I can find out what my 8.5” has without disassembling?
Would there be an area that has some sort of stamping on this and were would that mark be?
This rear end has been nice the last 8 years since I dropped in the 454. It’s just the gearing is so low and I want to bring the rpm’s down. Was thinking 3.42 gears. Pretty sure it has the stock gm 4.10 gearing now.
If any suggestions I’m open to hear it!
Thanks!
Title and attached photo. Bought an RV with a 20 yr old aftermarket radio(hack job🤮), replacing it with a newer one. There seems to be what I think are 2 aftermarket butt splice connectors above the radio harness, into the Air conditioning wiring. One was already cut, the brown/gray?? What does this do??? AC worked last time I checked before digging into these projects. Also what does the red wire with the blue connector do? I want to fix everything up tidy before I button back up. Thanks!!
Serious answers only please
I have a 2014 Chevy Cruze just changed the alternator yesterday on it. When going to town the car acted like it wanted to shift down, after going leaving to come back home the service power steering came off and went back off. And also sometimes when you put it in reverse it completely dies
I have a 2014 gmc terrain with 118,000 miles, I replaced my hpf pump, the vvt solenoids, and the fuel rail pressure sensor, it idles really rough when it’s in park, and starts to idle rough when I sit at a red light or stop sign in drive, I’ve spent close to 1k on it, just looking for some insight bc I’m abt done with it
