Anyone have long term experience regarding reliability with the sniper2 efi? If there's something better with room for future performance upgrades I'm open to learning. Thank you
Watched a car show where they did a Hotchkis swap and looked amazing.
I'd love to have a diy resto mod one day.
I'm working on a side exit exhaust and need some of your pictures/ideas -- I'm likely over complicating it. At the moment, I have the stock crossmember and am not running through it. If I lengthen between the collector and muffler, the muffler will be directly under the trailing arms. I was hoping to exit right in front of the rear wheels, but that's impossible with trailing arms unless you go through the crossmember and exit above the trailing arm, right? Or is it better to exit sooner, just behind the crossmember?
Hopefully that makes sense and doesn't sound too stupid. Really new to this...
I’m building a 1967 c10 stepside with a SBC that dynoed @ 725 hp. I’m looking for a manual transmission to throw behind it. Right now I’m looking at 6 & 7 speeds like the T-56 and Tremec-6070. I have 4:11 gears in the posi rear that I plan to keep but I’m looking to get those higher ratios for the freeway/highway that are offered in the 6 & 7 speeds. Thoughts?
I'm rebounding my 64 c10 looking for any help/ advice with my rebuild. I'm looking for a mild cam and hugh quality piston and valve train if anyone knows where I can buy good engine parts please let me know.
My dad and I are working on a 72 that won’t stay running. It turns over and starts but will not stay running. When the solenoid is engaged the engine fires smoothly with no backfiring but as soon as you let off the key it dies. Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks. Happy thanksgiving
Picking up a new truck and plan on daily driving. Don't have it yet, shop is going through it so I can daily drive. Had no idea these were collectable today when I seeked out an 80s square body from when i was young! I just wanted something cheap, reliable that I can fix myself. Well it wasn't cheap but it's nice and original, straight, drives/stops well, little rust, and a blank canvas. Plan on complete motor swap (nonLS), brake upgrade, and more as time goes by.
1986 c10 with a 305, all original - Rochester Qjet EGR hose is plugged and I’m not running a belt on the air pump currently. I started getting a rough idle and accidentally adjusted the fast idle screw on the carb, I’ve since re adjusted the fast idle but the truck starts rough when cold and eventually smooths out into fast idle after a couple minutes. Kicks down into smooth idle as well. Could the smog pump not running be affecting this or is my fast idle still out of whack? Appreciate any advice, YouTube video will be attached here if you care to take a look. Thank you.
1972 Chevy c10 still going strong!
Summer the time in California
I was going to build one from the ground up but for the price this seems like a good deal. Thoughts? https://classiccars.com/listings/view/1869457/1968-chevrolet-c10-for-sale-in-mesa-arizona-85204
Low idle only when engine is cold 1986 c10 305 5.0 original quadrant carb with electric choke. Every time I give it a cold start, it has a very low and rough idle. Once the engine starts heating up and getting to normal operating temps the rough idle goes away. Join G Share
Does anyone have any experience with 82 rear end wiring issues? I have a 1982 c10 and I’ve lost all power to the taillights and can’t get the wires in the right order to bring it back to life. Need help
I have a 1972 c20 that runs perfect other than the fact that the engine rpms ramp up when I place it in park.
Anyone else have a similar experience or a place to look for fixing it?
Thanks!
