Be friendly to other users within the subreddit. It’s common courtesy guys, we’ve been having a lot of problems recently with people not following this rule. We’re all here for the same thing, to share our passion for chevy trucks. Don’t ruin in by being an asshole.
Only Chevy/gmc trucks. This one should be pretty obvious. Now you may ask yourself "why gmc trucks when this subreddit is called chevytrucks?" Well, i honestly think they are the same thing, just different styling. So i allow gmc trucks as well.
No trolling. This one is self explanatory.

Absolutely NO POLITICS! This is a truck subreddit, not a place for you to share your political agenda. Anyone who does cause problems with politics will be banned.
Do not force your opinion on someone else. This rule could easily go with rule 1, but a lot of people don’t get this so it gets it’s own rule. Just finished putting on new Rancho QuickLift struts and added 1.75” bigger lift blocks in the rear. Time to save for some larger tires.
Hey everyone.
I have a Chevy Silverado 2003 with 99k miles on it. It has a recurring flashing check engine light coding to a P300 and the second code is also P300 multiple engine misfires. I have replaced all the spark plugs, spark plug wires, coil packs and the MAF. Sometimes the light goes away for a bit but it always comes right back.
Little history of the truck, it was my grandfathers and he decided to gift it to me since he didn’t drive it anymore. Should I replace the fuel injectors? Does anyone else have any advice on what I should do?
The OEM headlight bulbs on the 2024 2500 blow. Anyone have any aftermarket recommendations?
I recently just bought a 2024 Chevy 2500 Duramax. I’m wondering if 33x12.5r20 on a 20x10 -12 offset rim would fit wothout major rubbing(willing to trim some plastic). Can somebody with tire knowledge let me know!!
Spotted on our trip to Lynnwood, WA.
Just engine swapped and used the same intake now i got 2 map sensor codes? Changed out the map sensor now i got 1 map sensor pressure code? Any thoughts/ideas(i was on the way to get computer tuned when they appeared and then my truck started stalling and dying and rough idle)
Hey all, I have a 2019 1500. 5.3/V8. I’ve been having my check engine light go off and on for around the last 6 months for a p4099 code. It comes and goes, will be on for a week or two then off for a week or two and repeat. No issues as far as how it’s driving and running. I read it could be numerous issues with the evap system or things related. Before I start throwing money at it has anyone seen this or had a similar issue? Any guidance? Thanks in advance!
So right now I have an issue with my 03 Silverado 1500 with the 4.3 V6 so right now I am dealing with a no start it cranks but it doesn’t wanna start. I replaced the distributor cap and it still didn’t work. I checked my fuel filter. It was good. I just don’t know what to do. A lot of people are saying it’s my fuel pump. the thing is though my fuel pump primes, but I don’t know even if it rhymes. I don’t know if that means it’s also could be clogged.
Looking for some guidance. I recently purchased a 2008 Silverado 2500HD. The previous owner only had one key. What is the best option for a second key? I have had to get a replacement ignition key with a chip before.
I was thinking about getting a 2000-2006 Tahoe or a cateye. Which truck do you guys think would last me longer and would generally just be the better truck to buy
Looking to purchase a 2006 Silverado. What do you think about the price/miles/condition? The seller is asking $11,995. It has 195k miles. Rear main seal has been replaced recently. Engine sounds fine and transmission shifts fine. Interior in great condition for the year. Located in SC
Got this truck a month ago. 2006 2500 6.0. Is this lifter tick? Something else? Maybe I’m just paranoid. You can hear it sitting in the cab when it’s idling
What does everyone think this truck is worth? 2001 2500 single cab 33k original miles 8.1 motor with Allison transmission One owner in Texas- looks brand new inside - clean car fax
My rear defroster was smoking like 2 years ago. Stopped using it ever since. I noticed like a 4 months ago the button to open and close the window stopped working but the fuse wasn’t blown so idk why it won’t open. And so upon inspecting it yesterday I noticed this and I have no idea what it is. But it was wet, anyone have any clue to what it is
So, I got the infamous white smoke and losing coolant. It's a 94 Silverado with a 350. No idea how long it's been doing it. The Odometer was broke when i got it at 89k.
Local mechanic is estimating 8 hrs plus sending the heads off to get machined. Plus doing whatever else needs to be done while they are in that deep.
Head gasket job as it is? Junkyard motor swap with a 30 day warranty? Crate Engine swap with a year warranty?
No matter the avenue of approach, I'm going to have to save up. Just trying to find the best option.
I’m looking to replace all the door speakers in my 2002 Silverado extended cab I need know what size speakers anyone here may have used on here that mount with little to no modifications to metal on the door. and what brand speakers with good quality and decent price to use
Hey all, I have a 03 Silverado 4.8/4l60e , I started the truck to let it warm up and saw a good sized puddle of atf on the ground under the hood . The transmission was built and upgraded about 3k miles ago and I’m hoping it’s something small but would like to hear anyone’s thoughts on what it might be . TIA
