I’m thinking hypothetical if you had a free 08’ Cadillac CTS 4, how hard would it be to engine swap the 08’ CTS V engine and transmission into it. I know virtually nothing about these cars, but I’m just curious to know if it can be done. Would everything be relatively bolt on, or would major modifications have to be made to fit the engine and transmission in.
Am I able to swap the AFL and put it on after Market lights
Hoping to get some feedback here. How many of you have needed to get your engine replaced due to the common failures?
And does anyone know if the cause has been identified and resolved after a certain model year? Other than that the SUV seems pretty amazing
I went looking for a new car today. I was initially looking for a certified pre owned, around 22-23 with less than 30k miles. Around 80ish to spend.
Specifically a black on black sport.
Anyway, I went looking today and popped into a 2025 to see the differences because I figured to just buy a new one since they’re out… BUT now I don’t know what to do… the gear shifter isn’t on the middle console anymore (sorry for my lack of knowledge in terminology)
The gear shift is on the steering wheel. And now that I know that… I’m not into the 2025 .. but would ultimately rather have a brand new one since they’ve been updated.
The price difference for a new one is about 20k which isn’t a deal breaker for us.. the only Thing I’m really upset about the gear shifter. But I prefer everything else in the 2025 … except that it would take 4 months to order the car we want. If I were to get the 2025 brand new we would probably keep it for the next 6+ years..
Torn .. what does everyone think of the change?
2014 3.6 cts coming up on first oil change was thinking if I should use Lucas oil stabilizer wanted to know if yall do also 37k miles on car.
I just got back from the dealer after test driving a 2024 Escalade Sport Platinum ESV. We've been shopping around for a while now (Suburban, X7 M60i etc..) but love the Escalade.
The car as just over 12k miles and is priced at $109,982. This thing has just about every option on it (link below). They are pretty firm on price but have a feeling there is some wiggle room based on initial discussion with the rep.
Figured I would put a post out here for any advice/feedback on if the price is fair (realize there are many factors that go into this). The listing price is relatively fair based on KBB but figured I would ask anyone that has experience buying Cadillac's (as this would be my first). Thanks in advance!

Everyone's just upgrading stuff for free. This type of stuff turns me off to the brand.
I believed there is supposed to be to be an emblem illuminating on floor (rear of vehicle ). Any link
