Xts ambience

I saw somewhere online that the xts or maybe the ct6 had color changing interior ambient lighting has anyone done this. I have made a post before about the rgbic kit I did on my previous CTS but I was more looking to do something oem ish. I also bought 3mm LEDs to replace the factory pipping LEDs but I figured I’d see what others have done. I’ll of course post pictures after and may go the kit route again.

Used CT4?

Hello everyone!

I'm just asking this question out of curiosity.

This will not be my first car (I mean, it's not my first car in the sense that it's the first vehicle I'll use for a long time) Before this, I was driving my mother and father's Mercedes and Skoda in Istanbul. I am someone who aims to study at university in the USA next year. I'm looking for a car so I can visit my relatives, sister and friends between LA-SF or MA-DC, depending on the university I'll go to. I may need it especially in Massachusetts because the university I am targeting there is located in a town 2.5-3 hours away from Boston. Normally, I was looking at Japanese cars, but I thought American cars might be good too, so I started researching them, too. After Chevy Malibu, Buick Regal, we came to Cadillac CT4. I liked the car at first glance. The interior design is not bad either. Their equipment is also very good. I'm looking for a used one. Those around 20-30K don't look bad. The only thing I'm curious about about this vehicle right now is the insurance. Considering that Cadillac is a premium brand, its insurance will also be high. Especially for an 18 year old. I'll probably not buy this one and go for Japanese ones like Mazda or Toyota. It could be a Mazda3 Hatchback or Corolla Hatchback. But I still wonder. Is CT4 a good or bad choice for college? Thank you in advance for your assistance :)

2023 XT4 Door Speakers

Does anyone else’s 2023 XT4 door speakers not seem to play sound? The sound seems to only come out of the front dash speaker which kind of sucks. Is this normal for these cars? My 2015 Hyundai speakers sound better than this car does so I’m just having a hard time wrapping my head around it.

2007 cts 3.6l 6speed

Was told timing chains and oil pump needed replacing so I did just that. Upon further inspection realized previous owner had just completely burnt this engine up. The rest of the car is in great shape and I’m too invested at this point so what are my options?

Cadillac CTS 2012 trunk won’t open electronically

A few days ago my trunk key fob button stopped working. It’s a 2012 and the key will make the lights flash on and off but the trunk doesn’t open. I can hear the rear side seat receiving the signal and receiving a click. I can also hear the click when I press the trunk button on the inside of the drivers side door on the side. I have no way to access the trunk. When there is no access to the trunk from the back mid seat like others have. There’s just a metal piece behind it. How do I even access my trunk to diagnose the issue? Thanks

Exhaust modification recommendations?

(Stock 2018 2.0T CTS) Open for suggestions and ideas. I’m not looking for anything obnoxious like a straight pipe. just something to add maybe a deeper and slightly louder tone. Thanks in advance!

CT5 Trunk Button Not Working

Hi all. I have a 2020 Cadillac CT5. The button to open the trunk that is located on the driver's side door, stopped working. The button on the trunk itself and the button on the key fob all work fine. Would anyone happen to know what could be the cause and fix? Thank you.

Blackwing Owners who Custom Ordered Through Dealer

Hi all- I called my local Cadillac dealer and they are taking 'refundable deposits' to hopefully secure a 2025 CT5 Blackwing allocation. I was thinking of going in tomorrow and doing this.

Did anyone here do something similar for their Blackwings that you took ownership of? What were the process and timeframes like, and do I even have a shot of getting a new '25?

Ct5-v

I’m really interested in the ct5-v but concerned about the turbocharged engine. Is it reliable and fun to drive? Will there be changes soon to the engine lineup? Would love a naturally aspirated v-8 that doesn’t break the bank.

2015 Escalades anyone?

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of what I can only describe as a metal on metal but with like, a thin cloth between them, rubbing, in what would feel like suspension? When it goes over big bumps/takes turns?

We took it to Cadillac in Bellevue and they found a broken motor mount (a dealership let us drive it off their lot like that- it's written in the paperwork they didn't give us til a few days later- we found that detail 3mo into owning it) so Bell Caddy fixed that, shit dealership paid for it, but Bell Caddy basically said "You've just got a clunky car" when it comes to this other rubbing metal clunking. They also imply that "that's just these 2015s"

Please tell me someone has some insight 🙏🏻 Do we need another mechanic? Is this just an issue with these rigs? Also- this Escalade replaced our last- so we're not exactly green. I'm sorry I can't describe the issue better.

Anyone know the actual release date of the 2025 CT5?

As much as I love my CT6 I'm contemplating on getting the new CT5... however, I'd like to test drive one for the driving feel before I jump the gun on it. I keep following the updates on the 2025 CT5 but, they just keep pushing it back. Some of my local Cadillac dealerships have them on their sites BUT, they are just looking for leads because as soon as you click an image to see what they have on the lot they send you straight to a lead form "for more information".

New to me CTS

Any thoughts on mods or anything I should do. This one came with factory ambient lighting so I probably won’t be doing anything other than color to that. Got 45k miles and warranty

2021 CT4 Premium Luxury

I bought this car off Carvana exactly one week ago today. Myself and wife have drive it several times upwards of 400 miles and absolutely love this car. I never thought i would buy a car from an "internet car vendi g machine" but here i am. Car was delivered in said time window, everything looked good. I had it inspected by my local mechanic and everything looked good, he said I should have the air filters replaced at next oil change but otherwise everything looks very good. All in all I had a great experience with Carvana and would consider buying from them again. I was a little leary of buying a car off the internet sight unseen but it worked out well.

Collision light

The light on the dash on my ct4 is orange and has arrow looking like a car hitting something I am assuming is for collision right? Noticed a little scuff the one day and I think that was on next time I started it. Last night leaving work it was on and this morning noticed some dick backed into front putting a Crack on the lower bumper. Now looking back, I am assuming that light is letting me know that there was something that bumped into it, correct? Now I'm not sure. But if it's able to do that, I know there's that camera in the front. Is there a way to pull up anything to see who did it? I've only had this car 3 months. And this is a second time at work and I'm about over it. I wanna see who it was. If not I'm buying a dash cam and someone is paying lol anyone know any more about this?

14' CTS Vsport

Looking to close a deal on a 2014 CTS Vsport (105,000mi) for $15k. Is this a good deal? What are some things to look for.

P.s Is it the Vsport premium that has the digital dash?

Letters no longer a mystery

So a week or so ago i emailed GM Canada and asked them what the letters ATS meant on my car. Nathan went to find out but couldnt and thought it was very odd. So hats off to Nathan for going above and beyond and showing good work ethics that is very rare to see today. I just recieved an email from him and this should put any mystery to rest. Also there is no reason but an oversight by GM that coupes are called sedans.
