I got a 2007 cts. It’s got a little over 153000 miles. When I’m driving something that says service theft system comes up. When it does that the traction control turns off. When I put it in park it doesn’t let me shut the car off. The key turns not even halfway and just stops. I gotta put it back in drive then back in park for it to shut off. It locked me out while I was doing my job delivering on Saturday.

This is my project 1978 Cadillac Eldon. 425ci. It makes a ticking and from my research it is not something to worry about but is it really?

My grandpa bought a Cadillac ATS 2.0 in 2018 ever since I’ve been dreaming about it. In August he passed away in that bad situation I was lucky enough to have the car passed down to me. This car always makes me think of the great man that my grandfather was and it makes me feel like he’s still there. Here a picture of the car on film.

I have a 2002 Cadillac Seville SLS that has been sitting in a garage for the last 10 years. My mechanic friend worked on it to the point where it passed inspection, but due to an injury, he can’t complete the remaining tasks: antifreeze flush and fill, brake flush and fill, oil change, and thermostat replacement. What costs should I expect for these services, and is it advisable to trust a regular mechanic for this work, or should I go to a dealership?

It has about 80k miles on it. Anything I should know? Research has proven to be pretty all over the place. Half of people say it’s a great car, other people say it’s trash. I test drove one today and loved the way it drove. The sales guy said no Apple Carplay, but then I get home and google says it does have it…if anyone could clarify. Also, I know they replaced the brakes and brake pads within the last month or so. I’m worried about maintenance costs as I’ve only ever driven Hondas and Nissans. Thank you for any help!

The running board motors sound weak, but I'm not sure what they sound like when new tbh. I lubricated them but that didn't work. They extend when the doors are opened, and try - but fail - to retract when doors are closed. Thoughts on the most likely culprits and how to fix?

Bonus question: I had a '17 and with that vehicle if I pressed unlock 3x on the key fob and held it on the third time, the power mirrors would extend and all windows would open completely. Doesn't seem to be the case with the '19 I just picked up. Is that feature gone? Is there another way to make it happen?

What will be more reliable

Just got a 2024 XT5 2 days ago, had 6000 miles on it (dealer loaner). Today I put it in AWD and got "Service All Wheel Drive system" alert on display after driving a few miles. Is it safe to drive in 2WD until I can get a service appointment? Is this a known issue? I feel like I made a huge mistake.

The front passenger door will not open from the inside or the outside. i cannot take the door panel off, as i literally cannot open the door. I believe it has something to do with the locking mechanism. anyone have a solution?

For context I’m merely a YouTube mechanic tryna save a little dough. I replaced the thermostat today and now I believe my issues lie in the water pump. I took the tank line from the radiator off to check for flow and it’s not sending coolant at running temp. My water pump is noticeably loud and while I was waiting to see if my thermostat replacement fixed my issue my heat was not getting hot. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. 08 CTS v6
