So I just got a 95 ss, I’m not car goru or mechanic. The car runs good has lil defects here and there. One the temperature meter and battery meter don’t work on the cluster. I took it for a smog and they told me it’s leaking some type of fumes so I need to fix that. The advice I need is, I want to do upgrades on this car from head to toe and leave it like brand new. What would experts upgrade and what kind of parts would u guys use. Thanks in advance
PTW.. The 95 is way cheaper..
Looking to buy a 95 Impala SS Seen it in person, it had the sticker in the trunk with the “WX3” code. It has the correct SS rear window curve. One owner but the paint is midnight purple, which is throwing me off. Not sure if the past owner repainted it. It’s selling through a dealership.
Also it says “caprice classic” under the weather buttons but isn’t it suppose to say “Impala SS”?
Any thoughts? Appreciate it in advance💪
Hey guys I need an answers to a frame question. I have a 63 biscyane 4 door body and the frame is the only issue can I swap it out for a 2 door bel air frame/chassis. Someone told me I wouldn’t need any fabrication and it should fit with no issues. Can you guys back that up??
Thank you
Looking see what the experienced and experts have to say. I have always liked the look of the 1994-1996 Impalas. It's the ultimate hood car. Have always wanted one and now have the ability to get one.
I know there are a few differences between the 1995 and 1996. Seems like the 96 is the most wanted and rarest. Wanted to see what you had to say if you had the choice to choose either. Please check out both and all of the pictures and voice your opinions.

After collecting dust in storage; I guess its the time ..
so I acquired a 96 about 2 years ago. the car was pretty rough and neglected, having oil leaking from almost every possible place. Obviously infrequent oil changes because it was dark, thick and a little rough, while changing valve cover gaskets, noticed tons of build up inside.
I’ve replaced parts it’s definitely needed; fuel pump and filter, MAF, cap & rotor, coolant temp sensor and water pump. every repair helps it and runs a little better, but it’s still needing help and idk where to go with it. It runs pretty well, smooth when hits cold started. when it gets a little warmed up, it runs very rough and rich. If driving when it starts having its issues, it almost has no power and I have to pump the pedal. when changing the seals to front of engine, I took apart and rebuilt the opti, as it’s internals we’re saturated in oil.
I don’t trust shops around here so I won’t drop it off anywhere
Is it possible to add a turbo to my supercharged 2004 Chevy Impala SS, 3.8L V6?
I was sitting in the car this afternoon engine running as normal. Out of the blue it shutdown. Tried to restart it. It will Crank but won't run or if it does run it only last for a few seconds and dies. Car has 136k on the clock. Hardly ever driven really. Fuel pump was replaced maybe 2 years ago. But when turning to accessory position i don't hear the fuel pump prime. Any ideas here?
On journey to complete my frame off resto. Before you ask NO, I am not doing it myself. My buddy is doing it for me and not for free..lol
He's had my car since Nov 22' should be done before Nov 23'. He has a full time 2nd shift(3pm-11pm) job as a F15 mechanic. He is doing everything except building my 700r tranny. He built me a 383 stroker brand new everything
I have more pics of progress I can post if any one wants to see
Hello everyone,
Need help! Much appreciated. Got a 63 formerly on Wilwood calipers. Has a Wilwood tandem compact master cylinder. I replaced the four calipers for a customer with smaller ones to fit 13”’s on them. Now I can’t bleed the brakes! No pressure to the rear wheels.
Bench bleed works fine, installed on car, no pressure. Any ideas?
New to this group. I've had this girl for over 20 years. Glad to see the love for the SS!
Looking for some veteran SS advice. Just purchased my grandmother's 08 impala SS. 52000 miles on the clock. Extremely clean. I plan on driving it until the winter then going to sell it in order to get an AWD vehicle (utah winters). My question is, is it better to leave it stock and unmolested? Or would it be okay to do some simple modifications. Ex: window tint and exhaust. Will those "mods" keep potential buyers away from paying high book value on the vehicle? I come from an off road background so sedans are a completely new world for me. Thanks in advance!
Working on the exhaust, Does it sound like theres a leak? I just replaced the manifold gaskets because I know they were leaking pretty bad, Honest opinions on how it sounds now?
my 94 b body impala ss with the lt1 has developed an unknown noise, i don’t believe it can be rod knock because the performance is the same and the oil pressure is the same. i don’t think it’s valve train either because i checked all rocker and none were severely loose. i think it may be an exhaust leak but i really don’t know. please help i miss driving illegally. here’s the video of what it sounds like.
