Theives have hacked the 7th gen Vettes and 6th gen Camaros.

Theives do not need any access to your key. They will smash glass to gain access to your cars CAN bus though the ADL or through any module connector in your car and reprogram the controllers.

Theft programming dissables your keys, dissables the factory alarm, dissables Onstar and permits engine start in less than one minute.

I would suggest a steering wheel bar, a hidden kill switch and a tracker.

Even if you don't want your car back, you may be able to help law enforcement stop theft rings. Otherwise your car will be shipped overseas for sell for proceeds to help local organized gangs purchase dracos.

I have been looking into buying a corvette and found one for $15,000 asking price for a 2003 C5 with 105,000 miles on it. Is this a decent price?

Of course my first E-Ray is at the beach. Capitola, Ca.

How can i go from this adapter to bluetooth? Ive tried an fm transmitter and didnt like the way it made the audio sound. The previous owner installed this cord into the factory radio its sounds great but having to stick my phone in the centre console to play music isnt very convenient. 98 C5

I am looking to buy a 2009 C6 Z06. It has been tracked between 5-10 times in it's life. It is rebuilt title from a small crash in the front (I saw images online from the yard)

The car has:

1. Head work done
2. Big cam installed
3. K&N intake
4. Pro tuned (unknown tuner)

However, when I see it in person and talk to the owner, he tells me that he drives it around town on 87 octane and when he goes to the track, he fills up on boat gas.

He claims using 87 octane is better than using 93 and that boat gas is better for the track. Is there any truth to this or am I looking at a ticking time bomb? I would obviously assume 93 is always better. It's my first Chevy so maybe I'm not knowledgeable enough.

Also, when he let me test drive it with him, the clutch got stuck to the floor a couple times and I had to lift it up with my foot. The clutch biting point is low and the travel is very short, so maybe I need a new clutch. Or could it be something else I also need to do that's common when this happens?

Other than that, the car runs, looks, and drives great. Any input would be appreciated.

1st trip out with the local corvette group. There was approximately 30 cars. C3 through C8 was present. A great time was had.

So I drove an 01 zo6 for the first time and quickly noticed there is a lot of drivetrain noise , specifically a sort of whining noise that intensifies the faster I went . Almost like straight cut gear sound from the shifter area . Just wondering if that’s normal . I just thought “ hey it’s the zo6 is track orientated it’s mostly like part of what the car is” but can anyone with a c5z let me know if that’s a normal sound ?

I went to get oil for my C7 and this was sitting on the show room floor. A couple of days later I was in front of my Dad's house and I was showing it to him. Sweet car. I don't want to make a blanket statement and say that it is better than the C7 but it is. Also I am not sure it's fair to even compare them because they are two entirely different cars.

I wanted a Corvette C7 since 2016 and at the time I could not afford it. I got this bad boy in May of 2023. The man standing up with the white Tshirt is my Dad who I took with me to pick it up.

Does anyone have direct experience "daily" driving either of these? Looking to buy next summer. I currently drive a 2010 G37 Sedan, and want a vette as a fun semi daily (think driving the vette most days unless weather is bad). I will be 21 Years old at time of purchase, and C5Z seems to be what im leaning towards (the only negative is the lack of T-Top), but otherwise an 03 Z in Yellow is my dream spec

Anyone have thoughts on this? Should I be waiting until im older or more $$ to buy a different model?

EDIT: Ive read all the "C6 is more comfy but C5z is cooler and hardcore" Posts, I just want to know if it seems reasonable to buy either, and your experiences

I have my windshield and windows tinted at 35% but it still seems too light to me. Do any of you have everything tinted 20%? My concern is that I’ll miss out on the Corvette wave. At 35% people can still pretty easily see me. I’d hate to waste money, but may go with the 20% tint on a trial basis. I may leave the windshield at 35% and then go 20% on the sides.

A few weeks ago I worked on my son son's 1987 c4.

This was surrounding the replacement of the lower palladium gasket. At this point in time it's not starting although it is attempting to turn over.

I have tested fuel pressure at the rail at 35 PSI+, spark at the cylinder and air flow. When I hit it with a little carb cleaner down the choke it will try to fire.

When I pull off the leads for the fuel injectors I'm only getting a few millivolts, Even when actively trying to turn over the engine. My understanding is that should read 12 volts, so I am assuming this is where the problem is. Checking the voltage to other components (most notably the emission control module) I'm seeing 12 volts as well.

What should I be looking for here? I'm thinking it's something upstream from the fuel injectors, not sure if that's a relay or if I did something to toast the ECM.

Hi there. I'm new to sub so just tryna find my way about it. I do have a question though that I can't make up my mind on. The title. Always loved the C6 but couldn't decide between a ZR1 or Z06. I love the ZR1 but the Z06 wins me over sometimes. I thought I'd ask you peeps what you prefer and why, to see what I'm getting myself into if I do settle for one of the other.

Where do you get a replacement? I keep finding caps but not the actual part.
