Hey y’all my biggest complaint about my bolt is the lack of vented seats (and no hatch release button in the cabin). I was considering picking up some seats out of a Blazer, anyone done this or looked into it?
Any advice? Going to check one out soon, has 15k miles. 2023 base trim.
Ive heard fleet cars can ask manufactures to remove features to make the cars cheaper to purchase. Is this true?
I just bought a new 2023 Bolt EUV and there is a weird squeaking noise on the passenger side. It only happens when i drive over bumpy roads or going fast down the highway. It's very annoying and disappointing. Has anyone else experienced something like this?
I'm in the market for a Bolt. I've checked every dealer close to me and no one has one. Anyone know where I can get one near my area? I searched the sub and found one guy from Arkansas that had to drive to Alabama to get one at a decent price. Are these things that hard to get or is it just red country causing my problem?
The dealership says I need to wait 90 days for the refund to kick in and show on my payment. Is that correct?
Just bought a previously GM-reacquired Bolt.
It has the software that limits it to 80% charge for 6200 miles.
Can I park it inside a garage before the 80% restriction ends?
And another question - after the end of the 6200 miles if the software determines the battery is faulty, do I get a new battery from GM?
Thanks!
Hello, I have a hardwire kit I want to install on a 2020 Bolt EV.
It's a 3-wire kit so I need ON, ACC, and ground (duh).
Which fuses should I wire them to in the interior fuse panel?
Looks like each model year has minor changes to the fuse panel.
If i buy a used bolt that gm installed a new battery with new warranty, is the car considered to have rebuilt title
For my long commute everyday.
2-Ton Floor Jack, Torque Wrench with 19mm impact socket, Spare scissor jack w/breaker bar, 2nd Gen Volt donut, Standard emergency kit (includes air pump and added ratchet and sockets for 12v battery, rubber wheel chocks, tire plug kit.
As an owner of both a Bolt and a Tesla, the GM app just sucks all the way around. I'm in my "trial" period with onstar and it sounds like to do any of value with the app, I need onstar at 40 bucks a month? Is that true? Tesla is 10 bucks a month for "premium" connectivity. Granted there are some differences .. no person on the other end :) . But I'm more concerned about remote monitoring and location tracking. I also get the impression the LTE is a seperate charge? Dealer wasnt very clear on this aspect. TIA
I have the opportunity to purchase a new 2022 Bolt EUV Premier, fully loaded with all the options, for US$30,000. It is classified as new for selling purposes from the dealer (meaning I am eligible for federal and state rebates) but it was used by Chevy as a demo model (built in 2021) and has just over 1000 miles on it. The dealer has added an additional year to the bumper to bumper warranty so it will expire in June 2025. I looked up the VIN on the Chevy Experience website and it has the following info listed:
N212345941 - Completed 12/12/22
N212345940 - Completed 12/12/22
N212345945 - Completed 12/09/23
Does this mean the original battery was replaced? Is the car under the 80% charging limit cap?
I'm a bit concerned about buying an effectively 3 year old car with only a bit over a year of bumper to bumper warranty remaining. The car is being sold as new, looks great, and is fully tricked out with all the bells and whistles. I would much rather buy a new car than a used one, so is $30k a fair price? Anything else I should be considering?
Logistics issue :) I'm getting a ride to City A to drive a Bolt back to City B for my Mom. Meanwhile, my Tesla S's all-season tires/rims are in City A too, so I thought I could kill two birds, as they say.
Could anyone say difinitively if the Tesla tires - which are significantly larger than the Bolt's - would fit inside the car? I could put the rear seats down and also make use of the passenger seat.
I've read that 4 Bolt tires will fit in the Bolt, but I don't know how tight of a fit it is. The Bolt's tires are 25.5 inches (647mm) diameter and 8.5 inches (215mm) wide, while the Tesla sports tires that are 28 inches (711mm) diameter and 11.2 inches (285mm) wide for the two rears and 10 inches (255mm) wide for the fronts.
I don't suppose someone could bust out a tape measure for me?
I was at the UVM medical center the other day and was standing by the main entrance when a red Bolt rolled up to pick up a passenger. That car had matte black steel wheels with winter tires mounted. I just now got the joke: the wheels are held on by red bolts.
These are the only two features I use and it is not worth the spying.
I only need remote start that works from my apartment to my parking lot, ~800ft.
As far as I can tell my remote fob doesn't have a remote start button. 2019 Bolt Premier.
Hi! I finally came out as someone who is into and owns a Bolt. To charge it I feel tempted to install something like Enphase IQ 80 64 A, 15.4 kW, hardwired. I know it's an overkill, but I don't want to reinstall it when I get a bigger car. So the actual question is: am I going to damage a car by having a beefier charger? I did search an answer for this by myself, but wasn't able to find any definite answer... Thanks in advance!
I was in a wreck last year. (Ice on a steep curvy hill threw me into the wrong lane). Car was repaired just fine. My ex and I are still on a shared policy until my my new job’s first paycheck finally comes in. I’m trying to move out and move on with my life and it sounds like the rate hikes are cartoonishly bad. What should I worry about with the onstar data harvesting scandal? Is there anything I can do about it? I need to buy a house soon and it sounds like I won’t be able to because of this damn car.
Guessing there's a website where I can just enter the VIN?
Hi all! This isnt a post about my android auto issues, but rather how I may have fixed my issue.
2023 Bolt EUV Redline. Samsung S20 FE. Wireless and wired android auto had constant disconnects despite trying everything all the forums said to try (resetting phone, disconnecting BT and reconnecting), especially when using Amazon music and maps at the same time. I was considering using a second dedicated phone connected to my Bolt just for the android auto experience.
Randomly, I decided to disable the option to get work profile notifications in my phone's android auto settings page. I use my personal phone with a work profile and it auto connects to a vpn.
Disabling this option seemed to solve my issues for at least 24 hours so far.
Anyway, worth a shot if your having issues with disconnects and you have a work profile on your Samsung.
Holy crap, my report is 312 pages long, and fully 241 of those pages are just Chevy reporting on 1120 trips I have taken in my Bolt. Un-F’ing-believable. No way that Chevy is going to ever be able to convince a jury, anywhere, that an automobile purchaser was knowingly willing to give up that level of personal information in exchange for exactly zero compensation.
Whoever came up with that hare-brained spyware scheme needs to be fired. Out of a cannon, into the sun.
I look forward to my class-action settlement payment. I expect that it will be more substantial than a $50 certificate off of my next GM service based on how much of a loser I think this case is going to look for them.
From yesterday's earnings call: "The next-generation Ultium-based Chevrolet Bolt EV is another. It's a profitable and capital-efficient program that will deliver one of the most affordable electric vehicles around when it arrives in late 2025."

Does anyone know what this is trying to tell us?
I usually put my phone in those things on my other cars but my phone always falls out with how wide it is in the bolt. Otherwise I was thinking of just getting some soft memory foam so I can wedge it in there and squeeze my phone in.
sometimes the cameras works. sometimes i get this screen. 4 times at service for a total of 15 days. they say no parts are failing. what else can i/they do? any contacts at gm to elevate this to?
I took the plunge on a 2021 Bolt EV after my CMax got totaled from a minor rear-ending - less than 10k miles on it, too!
However, the apartment I live in doesn't have any place for me to plug it in, and my daily commute is less than 5 miles round-trip. So my question is, since I'm only able to plug it in on level 2 or 3 chargers that are publicly available, should I top off weekly (or bi-weekly) by charging for an hour at a free one, or should I use it as much as I can on one charge and plug it in on a level 2 for 8 hours? I'm looking to avoid long-term battery degradation if I can.
